The reason most people's first word is "dad or Dada" etc is because it's easier for a child to day where as "mum or mom" is harder to pronounce. just thought I would put that out there ( feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

haha.. here's a funny first time... My first kiss was to a guy a had met the night before, we'd been hanging out a lot in the last 24 hours and when we finally kissed it went like this.... He was looking away, and i tried to be all movie romantic and said "kiss me", but apparently he didn't hear me so he said, "huh??" I then turned red, and repeated the statement, which resulted in him missing my lips almost entirely and ended up in the lower nose region... so yeahhh. lol

Dada is easier to say for babies because D's are at the front of the mouth and Mama's is more in middle of the mouth. Yogurt is at the back at the mouth. That's why most babies say Dada first, it's just easier.
