Ae Forest.
I have never been here before and a friend called Nigel was kind enough to show me round. It was extremely wet due to the recent weather but running surprisingly well for off-piste stuff, I bet it’s awesome when it dries up a little!
Trails we tried were great, but we only did a few due to some random events…. first my rear shock blew its seals and turned into a pogo stick on the 1st trail. 😐💥
No big deal really, was still holding 160psi, so i just had to take it easier. 💪🏼
Back at the car park after we followed Nigel’s first route, I realised I had lost my phone. Naturally. It was at the furthest point away from us. 😖
So we kitted up and adjusted our plans in order to go and find my phone (I could track it from my watch) and at that point Nigel’s bike decided that looking for phones was a truly crap use of a Whyte E-160 and point blank refused to come with us. That was the end of Nige’s day. 🙄
So I ended up doing another 12 miles or so looking for my phone solo. Found it too. 😎 Can’t believe how accurate Apples “find my phone” tracking is… got really close then turned on a siren so I could home in on it audibly.

And Chunk is the best trail dog ever! So fast and so trail savvy, never once got in the way. Following his happy little tail around was the highlight of my day to be fair. 👌😎
