So this is my first time doing laundry at Laundromat in USA. Right now I am staying in New York City (NYC). So Laundromat is the place where people in the US go to get their Laundry done. Let's do that Laundry !!! Also I am travelling throughout USA as a medical student who is on his journey to become a doctor and it has been so much fun.

It is such a waste of time! Having to go out of the house to a different location just to wash dirty clothes... USA is incredibly backwards in so many aspects.I wish my apartment had the option of having a washing machine.

I can't see the profit on 3 dolars in 55 minutes using this machines.The energy consumption on any machine is more than 3usd,and worst if is a dryer.Can someone explain to me why is so cheap?

some apartments don’t have room for them, or some people just don’t have money to buy them- a lot of americans do have washing machines at home though!

Some homes are simply not built to support a laundry(or dishwashing) machine. And I guess for some people, if they are just living in a place for a short time(like half a year or so), they would have to spend the money on a machine and then have it installed, so they might not think it's worth it for just a few months.
