MY FIRST TIME HEARING | RM of BTS - WILD FLOWER | REACTION 

The humbleness and discipline RM demonstrates in and throughout his life is admirable!

RM is our poet. I love this song so much.

You can see that RM is a poet first and foremost, his lyrics always hit hard. The original name of the song is Flower work (which is a play on fireworks/flower works in Korean) but it got translated into English as Wild Flower. The sentiment is that he doesn't want to live like fireworks, which are stunning to look at but burn fast, he'd rather be a wild flower which has less wow factor but lasts much longer. The group talked a lot about longevity of them being together, and I love that over the period of their military service they are learning to give space to each other to grow personally and as artists. I think they are also prepared to be less loud and showy as long as they can stay passionate about what they do in the long run. Really looking forward to seeing what they can do. So far, for me their growth as artists has been stupendous in the last 2 years. 💜

Respectfully American music, culture, movies dominated the world for years (which most of us enjoyed) HOWEVER when i crossed paths with BTS, they opened what felt like another universe of unkown/unheard of beauty, music, deep lyricism, artistic and layered music videos with meaning and no half naked women twerking being disrespected. They made us sit up and listen to the lyrics and deep meanings. Thru BTS i found that i even enjoyed the Asian movies K drama C drama, i learned their Asian culture and deep respect they have elders not often found in the west. YES BTS PAVED THE WAY. And we are all the better for it.💜💜💜💜💜

Others have told you who Youjeen is. He asked her specifically because he wanted a voice that would explode into the song like fireworks, and she is so perfect for that - strong and explosive but beautiful!💥✨. Of all the members - and I genuinely love, listen to, and enjoy all their solo works - but RM (and in another direction, V) is the one who’s music most suits my personal tastes. It’s his poetry and heart ♥️ (I was listening to Joni Mitchell Blue earlier today, and her music shares playlists with RM for me).

He put all his poet soul in his works. He has so many questions about life! Being an overthinking person has to be such a heavy burden! I'm thankful for this kind of song because this way he can heal and also we. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I'd recommend you watch RM's performance at Rolling Hall. It's stripped back and live, in front of an audience of 200 people. He performs this song with Youjeen, as well as others. If you watch it on the channel Enjoy BTS More, there will be English subs, and it shouldn't be blocked.

Namjoon on Wild Flower: Since 2015-2016, I've been thinking about this song and writing it, so this dream came true after 6-7 years. I only imagined some scenes. The field, a few fireworks, nature, I only vaguely thought about such things, but they ended one by one, and I'm proud I was sure that only one person (Youjeen) could sing this song, if not her, then no one

It's such a stunningly beautiful song and video, especially with Yoojeen of Cherry Filter's powerful voice. That said, this song was like a stab to my ARMY heart when I first heard it and understood the lyrics because it not only revealed how incredibly emotionally hard it had been for RM/Namjoon the last few years as BTS blew up to such incredibly heights globally, but it also made me question what my personal role as an ARMY played in the pressure he was feeling. We always meant well by supporting them and their music so it was absolutely PAINFUL to see that he was experiencing so much distress as a result. If he felt he had a "criminal mind" for wanting to escape, I as an ARMY felt guilt that I had contributed to putting him that position. I legit say prayers for his mental health and well-being as well as the rest of the guys.

We ARMYs deeply love Namjoon, who is BTS's poet, intellect, and pillar. If you want to hear another of his songs, the funky "Still Life" will show his broad musical spectrum. All of BTS's rappers always sing with sincere lyrics. I think you'll really like SUGA's "Shadow" too, so I recommend it💜💜

RM is an introspective, lyrical, and intellectual genius. He is continually in conflict with himself and this fuels his art. His range is incredible when it comes to genres and he is a top contributor to BTS's work. I hope one day he can be a bit less troubled, but maybe if he was happy all the time we wouldn't have masterpieces like this. Just saying. I too wish him a lovely night. 😊

That is the amazing Rock Chick Youjeen who came out of retirement to be on this track. She was the front woman of the South Korean Rock Group 'Cherry Filter'.

Namjoons writing is fabulous 👌. Bts would not be bts without him. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and such a beautiful video. Youjeens voice works so well with this song.

I sometimes forget just how beautiful this song is, but then I watch the video and pay attention to the lyrics and it all just hits anew. Namjoon can be a little self-deprecating and I wish he could see himself the way we see him. His mind is so beautiful. The association between wildflowers and fireworks comes from Korean: wildflower is 들꽃놀이 (deulkkotnori) and the word for fireworks is 불꽃놀이 (bulkkotnori). The words sound very similar but the imagery is rather opposite. RM has mentioned that the lyrics in this song express his “desire to live like humble and tranquil wildflowers rather than a flamboyant flame that quickly blows out.” He also talked about how throwing flowers into the air reminds him of fireworks as they briefly pause in the air before scattering and falling down (he does like to go to parks and lie in the grass). RM's songs usually have so many layers to them, I can never be sure I managed to catch every sentiment and thought or if there's something more hiding beneath the lines.

The beauty and glory of success, of fireworks (which are fleeting and quickly extinguished), the journey in search of a greater meaning and the true “I”, in a storm of feelings and sensations, until reaching peace, balance in a field of purple flowers.... RM is a poet. The sincerity that passes through poetry is incredible. I see a lot of artists who make songs about things and people. In BTS, most of the time, they talk about their own experiences. This brings us much closer to them, as we identify with real feelings. 💜💜💜

RM is one of a kind artist beside being the main rapper, composer and songwriter of the group with more than 230 songs credits under his name (such as butter ,mic drop ,fake love ,black swan , spring day ,on.. ), he's the reason the CEO of their company decided to form the band because he saw how talented he is and wanted to make sure he depute,BTS wouldn't be here without him 💙 he's such a beautiful person inside and out , no one match his lyricism, please react to his previous solo songs beside his new album (rpwp),still life ,joke,change ft wale ,closer 💙💙

RM really knows how to choose featuring artists ! I really like his collab with Paul Blanco (and Mahalia) . The song is called 'Closer' . But his whole first Album, called 'Indigo' is wonderful ! And his second album 'Right place, wrong person ' (released one month ago!) is really, really interesting !

Hello. This song live is also stunning. You would see RM with Youjeen on the scene. And seeing Youjeen live, it always makes my eyes full of tears. Very powerful.

I love how fast you pick up the meaning of lyrics. I'm also all about lyrics when it comes to music so I have much respect for others like me. You should definitely check out Trivia:Love. It has so much meaning in the lyrics. In the song RM is comparing living to loving saying "I live so I love" and then later says that the person he loves makes an 'i' to an 'o' meaning they change live to love for him and that's how he figured out that people have to live to love. In addition, in Korean the words for person and love are very similar looking when written except the word love has more round edges on one of the letters. He references this in the song saying "I'm just a person, you eroded all my edges and made me love". It's some really cool wordplay in Korean and English. He's insanely intelligent.
