I never cared about rap until I found BTS. Now, I could and would listen to his and RM's raps for hours. RM is more cerebral, I think, and Suga is more theatrical. But they both have a lot to say and their mastery over lyrics is breathtaking. Thanks for reacting! Enjoy your channel very much!

I totally agree. And J-Hope (to me) seems to focus a lot on the rythm and "danceability" of the song if that makes sense. 🤔

@@nickforell1Cupid from Fifty Fifty, This song is a kpop song that is currently a global hit, ranking 60th on the Billboard Hot 100 and 26th on the UK main chart. The members are a 4-member group with 2 rappers and 2 vocalists. Surprisingly, they are rookies who debuted less than 5 months ago. This song is a song that expresses the agony of youth who wants to win love with cute and dreamy singing skills. I've released 5 songs so far, and all 4 have excellent vocal skills, so you can feel their different personalities. In addition to the hit song Cupid, lovin me ,Higher,log in,Tell me are also great songs, so I would appreciate it if you could listen to them together. If you are curious about their information after listening to the song, please refer to the guide. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m81U90PB26o.html

My 30 year old daughter watched this with me, her 2nd time, my 1st. She cried hysterically. The reason: she was sexually assaulted several years ago and has spent two years basically locked in her room due to PTSD & severe panic anxiety. Afraid to go out by herself, afraid to take a job, afraid of her emotions, afraid for her future, afraid of what others think about her because they don’t know what happened, just AFRAID!!! She has ALWAYS felt an affinity with him. HOWEVER, THIS helped her actualize what she’d been trying to explain to others & even to herself. In a strange way, I believe it’s cathartic! As her mother, I could feel her pain, listen to her pain, hug her through the pain, pray for those fragile nerves, heart and trauma to heal. As with ALL MAJOR GRIEF, it WILL ALWAYS be there will be healing and less pain as the days, months & years pass. We all know, have listened to AGUST D, witnessed his story, deep hurt and pain but THIS showed the DEPTHS of HIS ANGUISH, despondency, lament. I’m so PROUD of MIN YOONGI and so very happy to see his transformation from then to NOW! He is joyful, calm, peaceful, a little extroverted, just a different, grown up, resolved young man! May GOD CONTINUE to BLESS HIM ABUNDANTLY! BTS’s talent is PREEMINANT, PHENOMENAL, MIRACULOUS, SURPRISING, both TOGETHER & INDIVIDUALLY!! So absolutely STUNNINGLY BREATH-TAKING! So MUCH LOVE & GRATITUDE to EACH ONE OF THEM: KIM NAMJOON KIM SEOKJIN MIN YOONGI JUNG HOSEOK PARK JIMIN KIM TAEHYUNG JEON JUNGKOOK 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This is actually what Suga has been doing in his solo work all along. And BTS themselves have a helluva lot of social commentary work. For example, Baepsae, Spine Breaker, Go Go, Am I Right. All great tracks! Other BTS members do this too in their solos. Both RM and J-Hope did it in their recent albums. 💜

@@nickforell1 I think you have a lot of misconception about BTS and their music. BTS is not like any other Kpop groups, cause first of all, BTS is not a Kpop group but a Hip-Hop group to begin with 😅 So them making social commentary songs on how f*ck up the government, education system, capitalism, society, etc. isn't unusual. However the reason why those type of songs don't get hyped is because the Korean government banned them 🚫. So overtime, BTS got more creative to the point that when they create those type of songs, they'd just make it sound like a bunch of childish song's with lots of methapors and hidden meanings so that casual listeners won't understand them. But since they belong to a very very very small company near bankruptcy which have no power to promote them, they took a huge risk and made their group into a Kpop group because if they don't change their ways they might not able to able to succeed. Especially since Big Companies would do their best to suppress smaller companies and also because Kpop is getting more popular than Hip-hop.
@rafaelsmith5737
@rafaelsmith5737 Год назад
@@nickforell1 As a result of changing their group from Hip-hop to Kpop. They recieve a lot of backlash and mockery. Especially in Hip-Hop underground scene, lots of rappers would like to mock and belittle RM and Suga for abandoning Hip-hop and then labeling them as girls for wearing make-up and etc. Then in Kpop, they recieve the same treatment since they're still treated as a Hip-hop group from a very very very small company. They don't have great visuals nor vocals and most of them can't even dance properly. As a result, they get bullied by lots of fandoms especially from bigger companies like EXO who are known to be vocals kings of Kpop. Back in 2015-2016, they have ridiculous amount of hate, attacking them from a lot of sides, even I who's not from the same country and also who knows nothing of Kpop and Korea have heard of BTS because they are VERY FAMOUS for getting a lot of hate. The hate comments are very humiliating I must say. Even the people who don't really know them would jump into the hate too. As if hating them has become a trend in my country.
@rafaelsmith5737
@rafaelsmith5737 Год назад
@@nickforell1 Lastly, to promote their small group they did a lot of things, like becoming back-up dancers for other groups, then attending to a lot of variety shows who in the end just mistreats and humiliates them. Also attending to some Kpop group competition who later kicked them out. And no matter how great they perform live, they won't get any more popular because the Big Companies who's like owns the K-media won't let any other group shine. So they'd purposely shorten BTS airing time and would often times just cut them from broadcast and lives. And since BTS is from a small company without any sort of influence, they can't do anything about it. So they just created their own variety shows, and do lots of lives to connect with their fans, till it just becomes a habit. Most Idols have this "perfect" image and they don't engage much with their fans. However in BTS, they don't have that sort of "perfect" image so they'd just show everything to their fans. Their stupidity,their goofy sides, their weirdness, their funny sides, their clumsy sides, and just everything. But I'm not saying BTS is the only that does that, that type of marketing technique is quite popular now in Kpop Industry. But before BTS did that, idols connecting with their fans is basically non existant. But the only difference is that, BTS wasn't doing it for promoting nor marketing purposes, they didn't think of it as a marketing strategy, they were merely doing it because they genuinely wanted to connect with their fans who regardless of the hate that they recieve, still stood by BTS side and protected them. They wanted to thank those fan so BTS created a song titled "2! 3!", it's their first song ever dedicated to their fans to ease their hellish days. Back then ARMY's were in small in number and not widespread so they easily get bullied by other huge fandoms. So BTS work very hard to prove themselves to not disappoint their fans who believed in them. But the road or formula to success for a Kpop group is already written, one just need to be a group from the 3 Big Companies in the Kpop industry and the chance of getting big is 90%. Afterwards, you just need to have the support of the K-media and then you'll get promoted in other neighboring countries in Asia, but no Kpop act ever thought of reaching the Western industry because they thought it was impossible to reach, till BTS paved the way. At that time it was rather strange phenomenon in the Kpop industry to have a group not part of Big 3 to win grand awards. And not just that, that small group have even become very well known and recognized globally, and get covered in Rolling Stone magazines despite them not even being considered as a big group in South Korea, their home country. It is indeed quite weird occurrence but the reason is quite simple. Since the K-media suppresses BTS accomplishment and etc. They're not so we'll known in country except their fans who knows them. But since that restrictions does not apply in other countries, BTS contents spread like wildfire. Though it shouldn't be because of language barriers. But since it's not just their music that moved the fans but also the BTS members themselves is what drives those small number of fans to dedicate half of their life just to promote BTS on their own. By translating their music for foreigners to understand and even putting subtitles on their lives or shows. And not just that, they would also create lots and lots of memes and funny videos compilation & etc. Honestly, those fans don't actually have big ambitions like making BTS big or anything, they actually just enjoy BTS content and just want to share it with the rest of the world. But who knew it would just blew up, and more and more people would get curious on who these people are, and with just a click once you get into the rabbit hole there's no turning back. The ARMY fandom itself has become so big that became a movement that challenges the existing system within the Kpop Industry. But as BTS grew in fame not just in the East but also the West, the amount of hate they recieve isn't slowing at all. In fact, it become worser than before. Cause they are now facing racism and xenophobia in the Western industry. Also the Kpop Industry just can't accept the fact that a small group from a very small company which was heavily suppressed before became much bigger than the Kpop industry itself. The worse part is: They can't even exploit BTS because BTS don't owe them anything. So they just suppress BTS accomplishments in the west in their country so that they can still have the monopoly, or should I say so that they can still have power and influence in the Kpop Industry. Even though BTS is now the biggest boy band and literally paved the way for Kpop to expand in the West, some Kpop stans still won't aknowledge it and still bring them down and continuously bash them.

The trilogy in that order is Saga's journey through trauma. Killing his first demon in Daechwita - internal confusion, his second demon in Haegum, blaming others, and Amygdala is finally looking directly at the trauma. He was not afraid to be vulnerable, especially at his very last Finale Encore concert. Over 6 million watching, I cried and cried and still do.

I never really listened to or appreciated rap before finding BTS but these guys go so so deep. And speaking of deep he just released Amygdala, the third part of the trilogy with Daechwita being number one, today and it's incredibly raw, honest and personal. (Worth knowing: Suga was in an accident when working as a delivery boy while he was a trainee with Big Hit. He injured his shoulder but for fear of being cut from the group before debut he hid it and worked hard despite all the pain. He finally had to have surgery on his shoulder in 2020.) 💜

@@nickforell1 The shoulder injury happened before they even debuted in 2013 - so could have been 2011 or 2012? He was able to dance (that is, to take intensive dance classes and then spend a decade performing) but the pain would intensify at times. I assume he must have taken painkillers throughout. He finally had time to take a break and have long-overdue shoulder surgery in late 2020 (during the pandemic) but he was absent from group appearances for about three months at that time. He seems to be in such a peaceful and grounded place now... but like he said, old memories can still come back to him at times. The song and MV (Amygdala) will probably hit you especially because you're a psych nurse (I think?) It's hit everyone - kind of hard to watch. Most of us have traumas of some kind stored in our own minds and bodies so it's such a helpful/beautiful thing to see an artist like Yoongi share the struggle and processing it over the years.

I started getting into BTS about 3 yrs ago. I still consider myself new even though I’ve watched hours of content. All members of BTS can and do go “hard” on all genres of music. When I first listened, I thought I I had an idea of who they were. The more you listen, you will come to realize how multifaceted they are and most times be either shocked or surprised at how talented they are at various levels. Some videos to watch: Daechwita- Agust D Agust D- Agust D Joke- RM Outre Tear at Wembly live (band almost disbanded and this song is about that, very emotional) House of Cards (vocal line of BTS) Stigma- V live Begin- JK live These are a few of my favorites, but too many good ones to list. The deeper you go into BTS the deeper you realize the individual talents are! Kpop does have rules (for broadcasts, for music shows, etc...)and BTS/individual members have thrown the rule book away. They will lose some publicity from that but their support from the rest of the world covers that loss. They're following their own moral code as individuals now, instead of the one that BTS has to follow.

My opinion but sometimes I feel BTS members doing music outside the group concept too frequently gets dismissed as outside BTS in a binary way. I am not sure this actually is the case. The members in their last Festa meal in a unified way announced a commitment to exploring their individual creative potentials. This was not a group fracturing but a stepping outside of the Idol platform which both propelled and restricted their story as artists. It was timed to allow each artist to explore an individual identity prior to military enlistment. It also involved each member getting a matching 7 tattoo to reflect eternal bond. If you look closely, at the end of each artist's music video is the word BTS for all to see. Even in this very individualistic work you see the omnipresent BTS. So my opinion is do not get hung up on the idea they can only do their individual statements outside of BTS. BTS has evolved. This is both individual and BTS simultaneously. And that is just how the members and indeed the label are presenting it.

Thanks for the awesome reaction. This is not as far from BTS as you think. Their music has had societal/political themes since they first debuted. N.O, one of their first tracks ever, was a critique of the Korean education system. Am I Wrong, a later track, references the scandal of a Korean government official calling the population dogs & pigs. Baepsae is about financial inequality & generational problems. I don’t want this comment to be 10 years long, but Not Today, Go Go, No More Dream (their first ever single), and Spine Breaker have political/societal themes. In addition, their song Spring Day (one of the most successful songs in South Korean history) is widely known to evoke the Sewol Ferry tragedy (this was finally confirmed recently). At the time, the SK government was trying to suppress any coverage of the event & its role in the disaster, which entailed the tragic loss of many South Korean students. Parents of the lost children are aware of the song’s meaning, and BTS donated to their relief fund at the time. BTS risked being officially blacklisted for drawing attention to this event & if you choose to watch a live performance, you will see incredible interpretive choreography that many believe depicts aspects of the tragic event itself. The music video is very symbolic but contains related themes of loss and longing and is considered one of their most beautiful. This is not by any means an exhaustive list of BTS songs that are about politics, society, educational critique, and feminism. These themes, along with issues of mental health and coming of age, are some of the most common in BTS’s work. I highly recommend continuing to react to more of their music and to more of Suga’s solo work. Thanks again.

I'm not sure how much you know about YoonGi/Suga/AugstD....but as you liked his MV then the following info might be of interest to you. Suga/Agust D began writing music lyrics and working with MIDI at age 11 and held a part-time job composing and arranging music at a recording studio at age 16. Active under the name "Gloss" (wordplay on his name YoonGi, which means "to shine") as an underground rapper, He originally entered Big Hit Entertainment as a producer at age 17 Between his commitments as a member of BTS, Suga/Agust D took advantage of time on the plane and in hotel rooms after concerts to continuously produce and compose music. In an interview for Grazia Korea, Suga/Agust D expressed a desire to release the music he wanted to do without having to consider popular appeal or music ranking. He intended to release his music for free in the form of a mixtape to avoid such considerations, commenting that an album "has a feeling of being trapped in some sort of framework" due to the need for company involvement in promotion and advertising. Developing Agust D musically on the base of hip hop, much of Agust D's inspiration for the lyrics came from his own stories of dream, youth, and reality. In order to differentiate his work from that of his work as Suga, he developed the alter ego "Agust D".

This is apart of the trilogy of sugas songs, in order its ‘Daechwita’ then ‘Haegeum’ and lastly ‘Amygdala’. It’s about his journey and his past experiences (depression, ocd, social anxiety ect.) In the “Daechwita” music video we are introduced to two characters in what looks like Joseon Dynasty Korea, a tyrant king and the commoner who tries to overthrow him, eventually succeeding. Fast-forward to modern days in “Haegeum,” and the same struggle for power is going down between an underground criminal and a police officer. The police officer has the same facial scar as both characters from “Daechwita,” only much more subtle, while his adversary doesn’t. You’ll notice that he’s always killing off “himself” in these music videos which is a metaphor I’m guessing for change and “killing” his old self or that side of himself. In ‘Amygdala’ he talks about his past traumas including his shoulder injury he got while working as a delivery driver pre debut when a car crashed into him crushing his shoulder, he didn’t tell anyone about the injury and kept it hidden from bts and the company for years because he was afraid they wouldn’t accept him into the group because his injury might “drag him down”. It got so bad that he couldn’t even pick up a cup and he was taking pain pills for the pain and had to get shots in each place they went while working on tour ect. He recently got surgery to fix his shoulder back in 2020 where he took a three month break (you should watch videos of how the members still included him during those times and sent him love). He also talks about his parents, which he has before but the things he said were new to army (well most of us). Amygdala means the part of your brain that stores trauma and memories, so this song is about his trauma and dealing with that trauma. Like in his song ‘The Last’ he talks about his parents and some of his trauma (depression, OCD, and social anxiety) also you should check that song out too it’s amazing and raw and it’s my favorite august d song. So in the trilogy it shows his scar at different point (healed, fresh, and not even there.) but in ‘Amygdala’ it shows how he came to get his scar :( I’m sorry that I wrote so much but I’ll stop talking now so that I don’t spoil too much 😭 I hope that helped, you can do research or watch videos explaining the trilogy to get a better understanding. (Here’s a video of how the members supported him while he was on his break for recovery after his surgery, I think it will get you to know them and their personalities a lot and their deep love for eachother :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-98cqu40BUBI.html

PS: he is part of the so called rap line, the original line up for BTS which was supposed to be a hip hop group before it morphed into a more hybrid group with the recruitment of the other four. He and the other two: J-Hope and RM, are the backbone of the music of BTS. So what you see in their solo projects are not at all far off from the music of BTS. Even if the aesthetics or presentations might feel different.

I think most fans are supportive of BTS pursuing solo work, especially when it comes to kpop it's more normalized to do solo work while still remaining in a group and there is no hint of jealousy or ego. Especially with male groups because they have to do military service if they are Korean so unless all members enlist together they kind of have to do solos or subunits for awhile. It's the western media that pushes the idea that because BTS are doing solo albums they must've broken up or that there is trouble with the group. You should definitely react to Daechwita by Agust D. And if you check out BTS earlier songs they are much more hip hop influenced, but over time they broadened their sound.

It may seem to you that this song isn't a very BTS type of song, but you just haven't dived very much into their work. This is actually a very BTS type of song lol. They have made a lot of socio-political commentary music (which most artists in kpop don't do) since a very long time ago. Their very first debut song was a socio critical song, so they were doing it right out the gate. A great socio-critical song by BTS that I would recommend for you is Baepsae, it's a hip-hop style song. Probably one of their most popular B-side songs. No music vid, you can do a color-coded lyric video. It is also necessary to watch the Baepsae explanation video by DKDKTV to understand the lyricism though, as there are many cultural references that are particular to Korean society. Keep in mind that Korean culture puts a lot of emphasis on age hierarchy. I would also throw in the Baepsae dance practice video, it's super swaggy lol. Choose the one posted by the channel Bangtanie Subs, it has the full version with English subtitles, cause they do something in the beginning of the clip. Suga wrote, composed and produced Haegeum entirely by himself. And came up with the storyboard for the music vid. And he posted a hip-hop style dance choreography for the song, it goes hard. Please react to it, the vid is called Choreography Haegeum Dance Practice. It somehow makes the song go harder. You can also react to the "making of" video for the music video, if you're interested in the filmmaking and behind-the-scenes aspect of it. The vid is called Haegeum MV and Jacket Shoot Sketch.

Haegeum: the English lyrics & the meaning. Haegeum is a song about unlocking our new potentials, freeing something previously forbidden. The word “Haegeum” has a double meaning. On one side, it’s a traditional Korean string instrument that has a very peculiar sound, but this is not the authentic meaning Agust D/Suga intended originally. Haegeum” means “allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden.” Here is how he explained it in an interview: The word “Haegeum” came to me when I was young. I played rhythm games, I loved rhythm action games. When beating a certain stage, you’d unlock a forbidden song, then you could play a new rhythm. It was a “freedom from the forbidden.” Why don’t I try and break free from those things? This is explicitly confirmed by the English translation of the lyrics in Haegeum: This song’s simply about freeing what’s forbidden but you must remember to differentiate freedom from self-indulgence This song’s a haegeum Get on board now This lively rhythm A new kind of haegeum

The way things are romanized isn't intuitive, especially vowels, so knowing Hangul really helps. Haegeum is 해금. Hay - goom, with the OO sound from "foot." Honestly, i didn't take BTS seriously until i started listening to their rap line. Like you mentioned during the first half of the video, you thought he was referring to the music industry, but the message/sentiment goes much deeper then that. Same for the rest of the BTS content. The song might seem childish or poppy, but there's actually really deep messages hidden in their songs. I thought most of their stuff was based on high school crushes or things like that, but it's really not. if you let yourself listen to their music with an open mind, you will see why they have garnered so many fans. AgustD solo work is not that different from BTS work. He might be more raw and in your face as solo artist, but still themes he explores are not new to BTS. Also there's occasional swearing in some BTS' songs too. As for this MV, other already said that you went out of order. But just for your future knowledge (maybe it would be easier to understand storyline) - one of Yoongi's favourite themes is constat battle with himself. He spoke about this in BTS' songs too. So the idea is that even if you think you overcame yourself, there's no way out of this cycle. You can't escape from yourself. So in Daechwita and here you can see that winner still going the same path down as the one he successfully got rid of. I think it's necessary to know that corrupted cop/mafia boss is the same person who won in Daechwita. He fought for good but became corrupted himself. And in the end you can see that AgustD who killed his corrupted counterpart is going the same way too. He is now wearing suit with his colourful shirt, using his new power over the gang and police and eating with chopsticks which represent capitalism because there's no other way. I won't spoil Amygdala, but in Daechwita he talked about himself an his success, in Haegeum he talks about corruption as societal norm and in Amygdala he goes really introspective digging in his past traumas. You need to know that amygdala is a part of brain that responsible for fear and traumatic memories. Yoongi had (diagnosed) depression, OCD and social anxiety since his late teen years, had huge fights with his parents, supposedly ran from home to Seoul (this is not confirmed, it is just assumption from some ARMYs), he struggles financially and almost starved, supposedly had suicide attempt (not officially confirmed - and probably never will be - but hinted in some songs), had panic attacks (one of them happened before BTS' concert in their earlier years and they had to cancel the whole thing). Was constantly attacked as a member of BTS by hip-hop community and K-Pop community. Got hit by a car during his delivery job, didn't tell anyone in fear to cut from company and never received proper treatment in time. Lived and performed through constant pain and fear that his shoulder would gave up one day and ruin his career as he would not be able to perform as an idol. And there was other things in his life that ARMYs didn't know before we read lyrics for Amygdala. This is background you really need to know to fully understand what whole AgustD trilogy is about. And also even if this trilogy officially starts with Daechwita, still one of the characters in Daechwita take roots from AgustD first mixtape where Yoongi had blonde hair. As for other members - they are actually deep too. As solo artists, but also as a group. If you look at their lyrics carefully, you will understand that most of them are very introspective, or critical, or encouraging. Like, you probably assume that rapline music will be deep as rap music should be, but then you look at Jimin's solo album and understand that in all songs he is talking about things that he went through. I am waiting for others albums. Especially V's. Gosh, this guy working on it at least five years and still not satisfied enough to release it.

I don’t know which documentary you watched but BTS started as a hip hop group and they have a lot of songs criticizing society or norms

Welcome to boraland,💜💜💜 btw I appreciate your interest on the lads, I can see that u r not reacting for clout and see them as artists. Yoongi asked us to watch the MV in this order, Daechwita, Haegum, Amygdala. This is a trilogy nd basically his life story. Spoiler-Amygdala is age restricted. Pay attention to the scarfaced Yoongi nd what has become of him at the end. Looking forward to more reactions🫰

Daechwita is the companion video/song to this video. Daechwita is the better of the two in my opinion. A cinematic masterpiece. Loved your reaction by the way.

This one has a prequel DAECHWITA and a sequel AMYGDALA Loved your reactions as usual. It just bothers me that people don't know BTS history how they had been underdog of the industry. They did not become famous in one night. It took them years of hard work and persistence to be heard. Their songs were mostly questioning the society and the system. Their songs were mostly about real world issues such as mental health, injustice, dream, etc. These songs are underrated and I get most people like superficial generic pop songs over these songs that actually has messages Bapsae Am I wrong? Spine Breaker Ugh Spring day No more dream Strange School of tears N. O Equal sign Stop Butterfly 0 o'clock Magic Shop

Did you not watch Daechwita? Did no one warn you? This man is insane. There's nothing like BTS performances. They have so much talent. It's not just a flaky show. It's voice, it's lyrics, it's visuals.... It's love. RM is ridiculous too. J-Hope is awesome but more mellow! BTS was always edgy, as a group. They called out all kinds of political and social problems in Korea and in the K-pop industry, as a group. They did NOT follow the type of rules that normal K-pop bands had to follow. Their company was very different. He could have done this song as part of the group, from that perspective. But, he (and others) wanted to have his solo work that is just about him. This is the third album as Agust D, and his alter ego ends with this one. Not sure what he'll do next, as far as solo projects.

As usual Suga lays himself bare in this album D Day. While he always includes social commentary and tells it like it is, I think he has also spoken up for idols in a few of these tracks. I am not sure how much you know about Kpop idols in general but it is a fact that they have fairly strict rules on what they can/can't do and if they are found doing things that we would deem as no big deal in general life, they get excluded, vilified and have to publicly apologise.That is why he left the smoking scene in this m/v. This may not seem like a big deal to us but is a massive middle finger! He shows how it is ridiculous for idols to get hate for something as trivial as smoking/vaping or even just hint that they do (including BTS members) while it is something millions do every day. Suga has said the whole song Snooze is dedicated to idols and he hopes they are comforted by it. The track HUH?! featuring JHope is fire.💜

I don’t think this has anything to do with the industry. He is tackling larger issues in the world in his music now. In his earlier days, his solo songs were definitely a snap back. I feel that he’s moved on from that part of his life. He talks about this trajectory quite a bit in interviews around this latest solo album of his.

oh I have an idea.. since you view j-hope as an angelic person (he is) I recommend his solo song Arson 😊 or if you want to react to AMYGDALA first (trigger warning: it's a heavy song based on SUGA's real life experience) you can also do that

I can’t wait for your reaction to AMYGDALA…. You should watch Daechwita first though. Be prepared. AMYGDALA is autobiographical and depicts a lot of hard mental health topics. Best depiction of depression/trauma/anxiety I’ve seen…like….ever.

I NEVER listened to rap before I found BTS - American rap was mostly so foul-mouthed & misogynistic....But then I heard BTS' rap-line....I still don't like American rap which these days is only about sex and flex -- but BTS' raps are *real* and hard and say something interesting and I can listen all day....Dang I wish I could wrap my mouth around those fast Korean syllables and sing along 100% but I gotta be satisfied with hitting just the verse-ending words and mastering the occasional English parts 😂 🤷‍♀️
