My FIRST TIME LISTENING to Young MC "Bust A Move" 

The bass player is Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He only got $200 from the record company, and was pretty upset. Young MC didn't like his record company either. He left not long after and they sued him for breach of contract. This was really his only big hit, but it was major for us in 1989. Also, Bust A Move came out around the same time that Young MC was graduating from USC with a degree in economics. He joked about hoping that the album made enough money to pay off his student loans.

Hi Dom- this came out my senior year of high school, 1989. We watched a lot of YO MTV RAPS and this was a huge hit. Every house party was banging Young MC, Sir Mix Alot, Tone Loc, NWA, Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe Dee, Public Enemy, Rob Bass and DJ Easy Rock, and so many more.
