Not 110 that shit is more for cars you need to run mr12 or mrx02 for the most performance out of your machine talking anywhere from 2-4 hp increase over 110
It seems like a beast. Do you know what’s causing it to shut off when you let off the throttle? It seems like maybe the idol might be set just a TAD low so when you let off it drops the RPMs too low, but could be something else. Either way this thing seems FAST, like “0-kill yourself in 2.6 seconds” fast
@Matt Wilson the entire raptor is one of the more complex quads actually, but this one is coming along, and it’s very close to being one of the sweetest I’ve seen anybody build on RU-vid
Does any one know where I can find a DMC alien silencer for a 05 raptor 660. ? They don't make them any more and mines damaged . . I really loved it . Spoke with DMC they don't really know much on how to find one I been on ebay and everything every where I can think. So trying RU-vid maybe some ATV person can help me out finding one
Here's another question. So carbs super clean jetted etc. Valves been done. Checked most everything I can figure out. But at the very first lil bit of the throttle when push it. It boggs and misfire or pops some. What could that be. If I make sure I get on it it seems fine. Also if I just barley press throttle and does that n let off it wants to stall or will stall usually like not as responsive as it should be I don't believe . .any ideas ? Cdi issues stator issues ? Adjusting carbs better ?
hey just throwing this out there but your missing the bearing for the one way starter gear. it slides on the crankshaft after the washer you installed that is part of your play issue.
Just a heads up, when using vp110, if you use it for 2 stroke engines, it tends to separate the oil and gas after settling. This has been my experience and a few other RU-vidrs
I agree with u Sousa, they should do a lot more challenges then drags. But they’re definitely doing the best they can with what they have . Quad wars is new it’ll get better and better I’m sure
Man that thing runs good I also have a Raptor 660 I've been building ground up all winter it to is a 686 11 to one piston though stage 2 hotcam hope to be riding it within the next month
I have a 2005 660 with aton of performance parts. If I did a 686 Big boy kit how much of a performance game am I going to get is it a noticeable feel to the increase
I want to see yamaha blaster's. These little things are cheap as fuck and tons of aftermarket parts and there fun ass hell in the trails. Im a grown man and i still enjoy a yamaha blaster from time to time
If you never Rode a 660 before how do you know it was Scary Fast compared to how it was ? I have a Couple 660s an have did the Big Bore Kit in them and a few Dirt Bikes. Just my Opinion but you don't notice 26cc. Not Worth the Money.
I also have a 686 big bore and a full exhaust, was wondering what size jets you used bc when I run it it runs good and once I start giving it almost full throttle in every gear is bogs down.

I bought a 660 and was told it had a cam i think stage 2. And a 686. How could i tell. The quad does sound like a muscle car and is faster than a stock 700. Could intake and exhaust make it that much faster and the quad is stock
You would have to take it apart and check the stuff out. Intake and exhaust yes can make it pretty fast by improving that airflow with proper jetting 🤙
Was it stalling out on u ? Might need to bump up that pilot . Sounds like a ripper tho for sure. I’m excited to see who wins quad wars. But u guys should definitely do some other challenges other than drag racing. Maybe some woods racing, hill climbs, maybe some top speed runs, idk u guys will figure it out. I love the content for sure.

Make sure you are using the right setting for audio output on the gopro.. not sure what setting it should be on 😅 so try them all hahaha but I run purple panda too

I have both my yfz would pull on my trx a little but not much. Not anymore now that I have a built motor, intake , full RP exhaust. Now it blows circles around the yfz
I keep telling sabo next you guys gotta do some unique shit like a trx700xx I love mine man. Or a ktm525 or something maybe the kawasaki 700 twin cvt quad I love that one also! We know this raptor gonna be blowing by the Polaris💪😆😋
A lot of the high-end custom exhausts get real close to the aftermarket aluminum oil tanks also and let them heat up a lot so most of us people wrap our heater type with heat wrap and it helps a lot. It's nice to have that extra oil capacity with them aluminum tanks but it's not nice to have them heat up LOL

Nothing makes a wheeler look more molested than a bunch of orange RTV sticking out around covers, if buying gaskets is just asking to much at least use grey or even black worst case scenario. Something a lot of people overlook when doing no gasket n over goop everything with rtv technique is quite often manufacturers calculate the thickness of the gaskets when engineering tolerances so using no gasket throws cleanances off. Also you dont need to completely cover the threads with locktight, thats wayyyy overkill.
I had a super nice 05 years ago, mildly built it myself and tbh it was a torque monster and plenty fast especially on trails. The 660s got discredited cuz the 700 came out right after.
