I learned over the years to never go to the first day of a new eatery. It’s unusually busy, the employees are just getting used to everything, and many mistakes are made. I usually wait a couple of weeks before I go to a new food location. To let things settle down…
@@SakuragiSayo In texas, canes was good. I havent lived in texas in 10 years though. I feel like theyve changed their chicken either in other states or just in general. Have you had canes anytime relatively recently?
PROTIP for Canes ordering: Always ask for your frys EXTRA CRISPY, and pass on the booboodafoo slaw. Ask for an extra slice of toast instead. Cause just like Daym said, that toast is one of the best things in the box.
Our Raising Cane in Charlottesville Va is always busy. They had to hire security so they can keep traffic going. It’s so hard getting out of there. We call it chicken corner because they have KFC, Raising Canes, and Popeyes there together.
We have had locations in my area of Texas for over thirteen years. They do very well. They do keep that menu simple and straightforward. Helps you to focus in putting out a better product. That Cane sauce is addicting. You ordered the Michael Strahan chicken sandwich.
Here in Canada the McRib is back, so I've been making McRib hacks. The BawkRib: Order a double Junior Chicken (McChicken in the USA) without the buns. Then insert the patties and sauces into the McRib The McPorker: Same general idea but you order the McRib with bacon strips, and then order a double Sausage McMuffin - and stuff the latter into the former. :)
Please listen this man tells no lies no flavor no seasoning juicy chicken skip the fries the toast is good the sauce decent not bad but not great. Luv you daym
Couldn't have said it better. I'm from Canada and went to Cali for work and tried Raising Canes... probably the most bland chicken tenders and fries I've ever had. Like school cafeteria food got more flavour than that. Its not even mid, it just sucks.
I never like to try On the Grand Opening bc they nervous. I'll go the week after. But that sweet tea make you wanna knock all the tea off the shelf at the grocery store near you😅
When I go to Cane's I always order my chicken fried crispy and well done, same for the fries, and I always ask for the toast to be buttered and toasted on both sides. When that chicken is crispy it's excellent!!!
Its 3 things i do to make it much better. I like going there sometimes because i know im getting my tenders made to order. How ever. You tell them make the tenders extra crispy. Put some black pepper on them as soon as you get them because the tenders will still be hot with a little grease on them that will help the pepper stick. Last an this is most important, mix a little hot sauce in the caine sauce. It take it to the next level with that soft kick from the hot sauce. Trust me yall, try those 3 things an see how you feel after
The sauce isn’t a bbq sauce, it’s mayo and ketchup based with lemon pepper, garlic powder, salt and Worcestershire. That’s it. You get the ratio right and let it sit in the fridge for an hour and there’s no reason to ever go back to canes.
Daym You Gotta Try It Like This! Order the caniac Combo, replace the coleslaw for an extra bread. ask to butter both sides of the bread and now get a chicken strip and put it on the bread with the sauce and add hot sauce that they have and add fries on top!!
For McDonald's. 1. Order and mcchicken add pickles and ask for a packet of habanero sauce and a packet of sweet and sour sauce. And just dip the burger in both. 2. Order an Oreo mcflurry with smarties. Order an apple pie. Make sure it's warm and take the middle part of the pie like where the fillings at and put it in the mcflurry and just mash it all up and mix it.
Okay Daym, I'm an experience Caniac and I have a few secret menu tips for your next stop in: *Honey Mustard Sauce - home made just like the Cane sauce *"Bob" the toast - they toast both sides of the Texas Toast with butter *Lemon wedges - I always ask for one to squeeze into that coleslaw, it's a little bland just the way it comes. Main thing about those fingers, they need plenty of sauce to really be delicious. The selling point for me is that it's always mad fresh, and cooked perfectly 99% of the time.
WAS thinking of trying Rainsing Cane's here in CT. However, I KEEP hearing how flavorless their chicken is. After watching Daym"s review...no need to waste my time or money. Thanks Daym!
Yup just as packed as our “raisin Canes” here in North Charleston, SC😂😂cause for some reason they only open like 2 restaurants per state lol😂 or that’s what it seems like
McDonald's land/sea (supposed to be land air and sea) quarter pounder with a fish patty added. Bacon quarter pounder with fried egg, on apple fritters as buns
The toast is the only thing I want. Everything else they need to go back to the drawing board . They should do steak fry’s with some steak seasoning on top
They just opened a raising canes in my state of Rhode Island back in January. I'm definitely gonna try it out once the traffic dies down a bit and such.
Drumstik is my go-to for chicken. Just to let you know. Steak is beef too. It's supposed to be a better cut than ground beef. As you noticed, sometimes it's not, or how its prepared, or cooked. I love a good steak from time to time, but I love a good cheeseburger all of the time.
Over here in Florida, this is one of my favorite new places that I found based on recommendation from a friend. I agree with some of the criticisms in that the chicken is somewhat bland without the sauce, but it's always delicious and moist with great texture. But it could vary by location and turnover of course. Some might prefer the honey mustard sauce, it's awesome. The bread is great too. I feel the fries are one of the weakest links, but I'm more like a 4/5 for me, maybe even 4.5/5.
A McDonald's hack that's something special is the Filet'O Fish Pancake Special. Order pancakes and replace the sausage with a Filet O'Fish patty, then added extra tar tar sauce. And, then pour pancake syrup over the whole deal.
I'm going to wing stop tomorrow for the first time. I'm in the UK and I've found a location close to me. It's probably nothing exciting for anyone else watching this. Theres also a five guys where I'm going.
Actually was on the build crew for the first Raising Canes on island. I like the flavor of their food, but I feel like I could get a little more for the value elsewhere. It's hard to compete with a new Chick-fil-a, Ihop, Jollibees, and Minit Stop within walking distance.
I used to get the mcrib, lift the top bun, put on hot sauce, stack a je hamburger with extra ketchup mustard and pickle, then add the mcrip top bun back on
Order "crispy" fries, toast - B.O.B. (butter on both sides) & add a packet of Louisiana Hot Sauce to the Cane's Sauce. Not necessarily a "knock your socks off" situation, but it will give you a somewhat better experience.
For Raising canes. Get extra bread with the combo and make your own sandwiches. Bread, sauce, fries, chicken top it with the slaw and another slice of bread.
Try my favorite mcdonalds breakfast mash-up: get 2 hashbrowns, put 1 sausage patty betwixt them, and slap it up with some of that picante sauce then thank me later.
I aint gonna lie I havent tried this but just thought about The Fish Filet (Double fish) with a bit of some fries in-between both filets ,drizzled with a bit of some mickie d's buffalo sauce 😮 i gotta try that asap
Days, being in CT have you ever tried Bear's Smokehouse in Winsor? I had burnt end there about 5 or 6 years ago and it was good. I'm just curious to know how thus BBQ establishment is doing.
