Episode 31, 2019: 3 pt hitch Wood Chipper from Titan Attachments on a SCUT MT125 Tractor? In this episode we use the new 3 pt hitch PTO driven Wood Chipper behind the Tractor MT125. It worked better than I had hoped. We used the MT240HE (MT2E, MT225E) to bring the brush around. This was a practice run for when we work out on the farm. This chipper can be dangerous as you can see in the video, but with practice and attention, it will be awesome!

Good video. I’m considering purchasing a PTI chipper.

We have had this chipper for about 4 years. I have used it a lot and it has held up well. I do wish it had the power feed like other brands, but I have learned to work around it.

I had a Poulan in the form of a Craftsman. I spent so much time setting the carb with each temperature change, fighting bar oil leaks, and some other annoyances I was hardly getting any work done. I’d usually work up a sweat just getting the thing started. Very frustrating. I finally broke down and bought a real chain saw. What a difference!

Hey Chief this video is right up my wheel house. Just now viewing for the first time. Not sure why/how I missed it before. I have an MT 125 I bought as a repo and last evening picked up that same shredder. Not used it yet (long story with unpleasant ending) but I know it will be fine. My RK25 is several months out but I may well keep the MT? Does not take many years to change our physical appearance. Too many tractors now, so maybe set the MT free next spring. I do like multiple tools however. Keep cool in all this heat. Sad about Eastern KY. Ugh.

The MT is still going strong. A family member bought it from me. Yes sir, I hated to hear about all the flooding. The mountains cause it to be worse. Our prayers go out to them.

My concern with these inexpensive chippers has always been the absence of any feeding mechanism. This means they will only take perfectly straight branches. The problem is perfectly straight branches don’t exist in nature, so one has to make them straight first by using a chainsaw. Even after that you have to stand there and guide the branches in, instead of bringing the next branch. A decent chipper with a hydraulic feeding mechanism, like Woodland Mills, costs about 30% more. Considering it makes the job about three times faster, I think the difference is worth it.

I disagree. I picked this up 2 years for $1000 with free shipping. The WM is $2700 plus shipping. I agree the WM will be faster, but we are just doing it for the farm. Our chipper fits our needs because it sets a lot. It is very simple with not much to break down.

As few wide "y" branches as possible helps a lot! Next time you will have that in mind while cutting down the branches with the chainsaw. A jacket and a face shield are welcome with a chipper! I like you sense of humour! Hey, I had no doubt about the power of the tractor. It does not take much power, but rather torque. Diesel engines are good at it. Thanks!

Well now this was a different video. I have watched my neighbors use the smaller versions that use a 10HP engine and they are disappointing at best but seeing that take that big limb that got ya was kind of impressive. Was that about the max for that machine? Anyway thanks for another great video. I'm certainly a follower now. Like the kitties too. Does Gizmo approve?

First, I want to say I enjoy all your videos. I relate well to your down to earth personality and work ethics. Like you in this video, I scratch myself up, I utilize caution when working with something for first time, and, yes, I too am done with kids. Keep them there videos going. One question....cuz I need one....What size, make, model, was that chipper?

Entertaining Video 👍 that MT sub compact is a tuff rig it handled the chipper like a pro. Echo makes a great chainsaw for a reasonable price or Jon Cutter 5800 seems to be a decent affordable chainsaw on a budget. Thanks for sharing

I have 1000s of hours operating small tractors and I have never had a hydraulic pump go out. Nice sharp shooting.

Have you ever seen what happens when these little tractors have a rotary cutter behind them running through small brush bottoming out on a small small stump. These tractors are built to handle working.
