Running My First Ultramarathon And This Is What Happened

This is my experience running the ULTRA-TRAIL CÔTE D’AZUR MERCANTOUR (UTCAM) in June 2024. The UTCAM is a trail-running event with multiple races from VK to 125 km. I took part in the SKYULTRA 75 KM, an ultra-marathon with 4.400m of elevation gain that took us on mountain peaks at an altitude of 2.500m, with stunning views and breathtaking vistas of the Mercantour National Park.

It was 21 june and 24°C. Up on the mountain it was ok, and on the last climb at 2.500m alt, it was a little cold when the clouds rolled in.

Congratulations, it is amazing what you managed to do. Next time be more careful, at 1:09 you can see a guy going in front of everyone before the race start… not ok
