Hello fellow handbag lovers!
In this video, I give my first impressions on the first vintage bag in my collection!
I bought this beauty from mygrandfathersthings in IG and I couldnt be happier. He is a Chanel Diana in medium size series 3 so from around 1992-94. Pretty old uh? Lol
Please note that this was one of the bags I got for my Birthday. As a good Pisces I overindulge for my birthday, but I totally plan those big purchases in my yearly finance budget so I wouldn’t want to misslead anyone into thinking these hauls happen regularly.
The opinions in this video are my own and hope they are useful to anyone considering the purchase of any of the beautiful handbags that I review.

I totally understand what you said about wondering about the first lady who purchased your vintage Diana. I just got my vintage Diana as a full set, including the original receipt!

The diana is such a gorgeous bag! I have recently started to look for them on the preloved market, but so far havent found one in good condition. A beige or brown will be beautiful! 🤩😍😘

Hihi.. may I ask if chanel lambskin get scratched easily? I love lambskin and too scared of the leather durability ...

In the very long term, lambskin is more durable than caviar in my opinion. If you have a look at vintage pieces you can see the lambskin still looks very beautiful. It gets scratches but with time the leather forms a nice patina that will help conceal the scratches. However, if you want your bag to remain “perfect”, if you want to carry your bag daily, if its your only Chanel bag or if you dont want to baby your bag, I would go for caviar. I have both 50/50 in my collection, but I personally love lambskin more the older I get. It looks more luxurious and the buttery feel of lambskin cannot be compared to the more plasticy touch of caviar. In addition, I my motto is to love and carry all my luxury bags so they dont own me, no matter they are Chanel lambskin, i will still use my bags lol

@@heyawesome7627 If you are nervous, you can go for a lambskin wallet or other small leather goods first to give it a try. Patina is basically the aging of the leather. It is a soft beautiful sheen that develops on the surface of the leather due to its exposure to body oils, sunlight, dust, scratches, etc. so that sheen will disguise the superficial scratches that you make with time.

Chanel Diana vintage bags range from usd 4k to higher depending on many factors (caviar is more rare so more expensive, condition of the bag and hardware, etc).

The lambskin feels tougher because back in the 90's they could allow the lamb to grow a bit older and spend some time with it's mother before being taken away to be slaughtered. These days the demand is so high that they need a quick turnaround. GOVANHI watch this space.
