Using that vintage enamel pot (15:00) as a bin is kinda on point haha, it's a chinese chamber pot!

giggled through the segment thinking how hilarious taking a chamber pot for resale at a charity shop is, then went to look for the comment about it ))

I actually really liked the bright yellow jumper on you, I think it looked great with your hair and the darker lip in the try on clip! The skirt you showed directly after is INCREDIBLE!

Great selection of things you found! I'm imagining that you aren't in London because we certainly don't have Oxfam pricing as good as that anymore, alas. 😢 The green vase is so pretty. The red and black box is Japanese lacquerware or a plastic version. It's designed as a bento box or of course perfect for any trinkets! I received a tiny red lacquerware box as a wedding favour at my Japanese cousin's wedding and it was also lined, I use it for earrings. The Woman's Weekly doll is so nostalgic. My mum made my sister and me similar dolls from a printed cut out cloth in the 80s. They also had changeable clothing options, (I think they were Victorian styled, they had chemise and bloomers printed on the body, and little capes!) Loved them, they were very well played with. I'd have been too old for new dolls in the 90s but my mum was still getting the magazine, so I'll have to check with her (she's 82 :)) The faces of the dolls you've found are so sweet, and the cat is irresistible. I'm having fun seeing your menagerie of animal paintings and brass creatures. 🐈

You have such a clear sense of style. It was neat to see overlapping themes between your clothes and the home items and see all the things come together.

So glad you have grown beyond jeggings and into ceramics. You looked lovely in all the clothing you chose, and even the acid yellow worked under Anita - a splendid lady jacket, by the way. Two RU-vid creators you might enjoy are Kathleen Illustrated (clothing thrifts and makeovers, and a gifted illustrator), and Shaunna Rochelle, also a painter and someone carefully making over her rented 30's home with thrifted finds and handmade projects.

Ooh thank you for the recommendations! - I’ve never heard of either of these creators so I’m excited to check them out 🙂❤️

I looooove Kathleen Illustrated! Very similar focus on eclectic creativity and a welcoming vibe of shared, non-judgmental play.

brown pants with yellow top then add a scarf aroud your neck so the yellow doesnt wash out out. ps; i love the yellow and i wount care what it makes me look cause i would feel sunshine happines in it. yes i like the picture frame bathroom idea. you could get a larger picture frame and add a coloured mat to look like the walls. birds eye view like you said so cool.

The metal vase you bought is used to spit in after chewing/eating betel leaves in where i live. Monks use them usually 😅

Ohh I'm so glad I found your channel😊 Love it so far! Your black 'plastic' stack boxes, look like they might be russian lacquered boxes which are basically papier mache. Thought since you like papier mache, it fits quite well😊

Benetton isn't so well made these days but it certainly used to be. So if youre buying properly vintage pieces, and given that you said the cardigan was wool it probably is, it should be nice quality indeed

My 70s flares were all hip huggers, not high waisted. I think that the purple and black skirt was probably an expensive item, when new. Really unusual, looks designer.

Hello. I thought that yellow jumper might look good with those high-waisted brown trousers? Maybe you could crop the yellow sweater and edge it? Alternatively, wear a scarf that has the yellow, black (trousers), red (lip colour), & blue (eye colours) all in it around your neck with the dominant shade being a blue or red that goes better with your skin tone? But as you’re an artist … you will know what’s best for you. 💗 Just subscribed so catching up with ur videos. Best of luck with all the DIY. 👍😃

I think your take on religious artifact is interesting and very different from I view it. I do not believe in Christianity and I would not have anything Christian as decor because of family members who are extremely religious would think I believe in their faith and I do not. I don’t want to give anyone the idea I follow or a kindred spirit in that way. I wouldn’t mind a Buddha being around me as decor. I see it as serenity. I see Christianity as a sacrifice was made. But I grew up Roman Catholic and I had all that shoved down my brain. As soon as I moved out I could make my own decisions on how I viewed life on earth. I think it’s interesting how different we each view things.

Very interesting to hear! Yes I think many people will have different opinions on this subject and it’s so dependent on your own experiences. For me, some Christian relics make me think of my grandparents so they are sentimental without having deeper religious meaning for me. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
