I've always been concerned that the 12v truck LEDs won't cut dingy water (especially around season opening.. which by the way was wet this year) I'm running High Pressure Sodium lights, but a good set is expensive.. Been eyeballing some 120v stadium LED lights I can run off my small ultra-quiet (honda 2200) a few of them are around 3000k which I figure would cut water pretty decent, but I could be wrong. Got a 1748 console steer with Johnson 40. Can handle quite a bit on weight on the front and still get up over the shoals.

Yes the LEDs do not “cut” as well in my experience as well. The rivers have been so shallow the past few years that this hasn’t been an issue with seeing the bottom though. Work lights and a generator is what I started with they do penetrate the dingy September river! Best of luck this season!

@@Sappwildoutdoors water was pretty dingy this year on opening night. My high pressure sodium lights wouldn't only get me down to about 8 feet in some parts of the river. Several of the deep holes I couldn't even make out the bottom of the river this year. One reason I've been hesitant on pulling the trigger on new lights. Best of luck to you as well, I managed to get enough for a fish fry opening night before the rain started back in, so can't complain about my luck so far.

Will do! We’re gonna need some rain. The rivers are LOW.
