Wow you certainly are busy!! Thanks for sharing your most used patterns 🥰I will have to take a closer look at True bias patterns I have never bought anything from them. I tend to gravitate to itch to stitch as they’re more accommodating for petite people 😅. Funny having said that my most made up patterns are the Sicily dress by Mason, a New Look cargo pant pattern I’ve made up in 3 different lengths, Sinclair elastic pull on shorts and a free raglan sleeve tshirt and cardigan from Sew sew easy site! ❤would have loved to see some pictures of your makes 😉
I know all about that New Look cargo pants pattern, I have it somewhere around here and yes, I have to take a day and take a picture of all my makes in the last two months. I Didn’t think I had enough things done but somehow I actually do which is rather shocking to me. but I guess those little 30 minutes here and there in the evenings did add up!
Loved this video! Thanks for joining in, Alex. Fantastic picks and all great essentials. That McCall's dress that you picked for your Essential One Piece is beautiful. I'm rarely tempted by the Big 4, but this one looks so good!
Good luck on your coding. I just retired last year from a career in software. I found that it is a creative occupation, but it was good to balance with a creative, artistic hobby.
Thanks for your words, I absolutely understand what you mean about creative occupation. I missed floral because I got to see an end product and I get so excited when I hit enter and something pops up! ITs even more exciting when it works the way I intended to. It is also challenging as I’m teaching myself which I miss a good challenge every now and then.
I think we should do this video for the fall / winter season and let me tell you my Toaster Sweaters would be on that list… I got three myself. I absolutely love them and like you I need more of them.
All your essentials are fabulous! My favorite it that M7967 knit with the sweetheart neckline. I've never seen that one. I need to get it!!! So many greats and it's hard to choose! Great video. Thanks for sharing!
The Simplicity 9273 top is also one of my essentials! I have made two tops that I wear all the time and plan to make more. I like view A with the plain sleeves.
Pattern Emporium Besties Tee. It comes with lots of neckline, sleeve, and length options and it's also really easy to hack if you're into a little self-drafting. It's more expensive than a big 4 on sale but it's so versatile it's well worth the cost imo. I love your picks, this is such a great hashtag to follow.
Just looked it up, that is a nice pattern. And $10 USD, that is NOT bad at all. I’m happy to pay for a well drafted pattern and if I use it more than three times I have gotten return on my investment. That’s how I look at all indie patterns… will I make it several times? If yes, its a no brainer.
I'm sure you can lengthen them. They are available as a long pair of pants or shorts. But there are "shorten or lengthen lines" in the pattern so you can adjust as you see fit.
The seaforth pants by Hey June Handmade. I have made them 4 times. So comfortable! Good thoughts though. It's nice to make something you know is going to fit than stress over working out a new pattern.
Oh those are cute! I love the zip on the pockets. I’ve never tried her patterns. Do you know what height are her patterns drafted for? I was looking at the Marseilles dress but still on the fence as I have two others which are similar but with princess seams.
@@MassonLifestyle I'm not sure. I'm 5'3" and have to shorten the seaforths, if that helps. I don't have that dress, but have made and really like the amherst shirt, vero shorts, and the lucerne top.
Simplicity 9146. Elastic waist pant with flat front. It has an extra side piece which is fun for stripes. I have taped the pieces together and omitted that design.
