Super bummer Gary! I almost did yhe same thing with my v900. Put her in safe as she was getting small and checked my timer. Looked back and no plane!😲😵had a mini panic attack for about 5 seconds then spotted the speck in the sky and luckly turned her around. Wont do that again! Holy😝😃💯😎👍

With that dark cloudy sky I found it hard to keep track of the plane. No surprise that one could lose orientation.

RC noted "TIME Expired". Maybe your battery voltage was to low after that highspeed pass?

Agreed, I never get to the time expired for fear of that. I got close once and completely damaged my battery by running it down to 4%. Never again.

Hi gary can i surgest something for you buy an alarm so if your plane crashes and you dont see it you can use a switch on your transmitter to activate it and the alarm will sound so its easer to find

I just watch your video for the 1st time. I really feel your pain. I've done that same thing, lost control because the plane got too far away. My crash happened while I was trying to trim the elevator on downwind. Looks like you were setting up for landing and lost it. My advice?? Don't ever do that again😛

Gary, that was rough to watch, especially after such a great flight with the wind and all. I can not believe that you lost orientation out there like that. Makes you wonder if the larger, more expensive jets should have better tech in them like SAFE or Recovery Mode to save you on events like those. Anyways, thanks for sharing, and I hope you grab another. Those Avanti Jets are very special.

This was a pretty great little EDF. This was early on for my EDF flying. I learned to not try and pack the largest battery I can fit into the plane! EDF's want to be a little lite. 😀👍

Yeah this video is from before the time I was a Grandpa Gary! This plane is long gone. I never found the EDF. 😀🛩💯
