I greatly appreciate the things you noticed! On point one, the vega trem is more reliable in terms of tuning stability, and in general theyre great for modding say, a vintage strat, without having to drill new holes into the body. We decided to go with them for joe, because the trem body is very small and gave him the room to pull up a step and change as well as dive and stay in tune. On point two, switch craft has started making the push / push pots with greater quality. I have also experienced them going bad, but these last a lot longer. These instruments are made with the purpose of surviving touring environments, and the magnetic back plate was introduced with the intention of possibly changing those out quickly. Someone like Joe will wear out a CTS pot several times in a tour, so we provide that access. All that being said, we are a custom shop and have used wilkinson / gotoh and regular pots with mini toggles or push / pull on request many times, and i love the quality of all those. The standard version is just something we came up with after 5 years of working with Joe.

@@CodyCoMedia Hey! Ok 🙂 Not liking it, and I am not a fan of high gloss either. 🙂 Would the high gloss hige the neck tenon join into the body? Love the body shape, double cut, all time classic, with a twist in the tail. the finish just looks like a kit I built, it aint pretty, plays beautifully and didnt cost $4k
