As a member of the US Army during PM Thatcher’s term, and President Reagan as my Commander In Chief, I felt like I actually had two Leaders. I admired and respected PM Thatcher so much. Although my Duty and Allegiance have always been too my own Nation, I would have gladly given my life to protect and defend Margaret Thatcher. It was such a honor to serve among such noble and honorable giants called Reagan and Thatcher.
what is great about this tribute is the absolute love shown while acknowledging that this a non-normal human. Every great leader will have bits about them that make you think "kinda weird"
I don't really care for conservative (or liberal) politics of any nation, but I have respect for Lady Thatcher. Say what you will, but I think that it takes great strength to balance power and femininity as I feel she did. I'm not even British and I liked learning about Margaret Thatcher. Truly I believe that she was an example of an inspirational leader.
Colin Mayford Colin I met him last Sunday at the snooker masters final. I didn’t know who he was as I’m not very educated in politics. He started a conversation with me and seemed like a genuinely lovely person and gave me his business card afterwards where I became very aware of who I’ve been chatting with for the past 15 minutes. Indeed you are lucky to have him as a MP.
