I decided to fly some of my friends from the UK to Finland for my bachelor party! We took a trip over to Kotka to the STUNNING Villa Koskenäyräs and I introduced some of my British friends to some traditional Finnish things (Yes, like maksalaatikko :D)

Hi Dave! I was in Koskenäyräs several years ago when my cousin wedding was there. It is nice to see that they have updated allmost everything. The villa was brown and sauna didn't have those two paljus. Bedrooms is also nicer now. Place was allready beautiful then but now it looks even better!

I was in Koskenäyräs when Lordi won the eurovision song contest 2006. We were having a camp there over the weekend for like 30-40 people. So you really had a lot of space in there for the 5 of you!

Maksalaatikko is pretty much the only way I can ever eat liver myself. Somehow even the smell of liver causes instant vomit-reaction in me, but in a casserole it doesn't happen. Strange, but nice to see other people liking it.

Hot sauna, get enough steam in there and everybody wants to go into the cool water and when you get a little bit cold, you want to go back to the sauna again and then the cycle continues. It's wonderful.

Sisu came to my mind of that roar after your mate diped into the water :P And you start to sound like a Finn: "proper salmiakki", "original way sauna", "they have to try this and that Finnish stuff" it's awesome! :D

My home city. Kotka. I used to spend my summers very near to koskenäyräs. My grandfather and relatives used to live there. Some of them still do. New owner has done great job creating nice place to be. There used to be salmon fishingpond there.

Awesome edits, I love it, well packed 3 days into one Summer vlog! As a Finn from Lapland, I need to mention some facts about "Lapin Kulta". I call it "Lappari" that is just a nickname , or "poron kusi" which translates as reindeer piss. They used to brew Lapin Kulta in Tornio Northern Finland until 2010!

Such a cool video. I have to say that the word of the Villa is difficult even for a Finnish speaker like me😁 Have to check out the place though. Edit: As a guy who has lived and fished in the biggest lake in Finland, Lake Saimaa, I hope some day you will get to know a part of Saimaa as well. And just wow - you got a nice fish there!

Dave, which brand of makkara did you buy for the guys to try? My wife and I were in Finland visiting her family last summer and I was super disappointed with whatever brand her dad picked up at the supermarket. I feel like there's got to be a better one. Thanks!
