Hello everyone! Firstly I am sorry about the audio - my microphone wasn't plugged in! so annoying but I'll learn from my mistake. If you'd like to contribute subtitle translations you can do so here: bit.ly/skincaresubtitles (your name will be displayed under the video!)
It was still clear for me, I just turned up the volume a little. I know its a minor thing but I miss your outro song from your language channel. Don't suppose you could make a new one for your personal one? 😊
Lucy, thank you so much for the video. I’m so happy for you that your private dermatologist turned out to be great. I’ve had a bad skin for a long time, I was also prescribed some contraception to heal it. But before that, when I was 18 (I had acne skin since 14), I went to the consultant in a skin clinic (but I don’t live in the UK, I live in Russia). And I was so disappointed because I paid quite a lot of money at that time for basically 5 minutes consultation, where I was advised by the doctor to get married (I WAS 18 at that time!). I remember when I got out from the clinic I just cried because I also thought of it as my last resort. But luckily later I met a really professional cosmetologist who helped me a lot. But I still have some spots every now and then.
I freaking cherish this video. You made me get really interested in your skincare routine. Peharps it's because I'm keen on British accents😅💗. Thank you for teaching me how to pronounce skincare vocabs with the accent I chose for me♡
I'd have never said you've had problems with your skin! It looks almost perfect to me! I have problems with acne too so it gives me hope that I'll get rid of it one day! Thank you 😊
I cannot believe this. I just stumbled onto your videos today and kept watching them literally because your skin is so glorious. I never in 1 million years would have guessed you ever had a single blemish in your entire life. Thank you so much for opening up, being vulnerable and honest and trusting us with your routine. I'm going to get my retinol cream immediately if there's even a chance my skin can look as luminous as yours.
Each time you've talked about the prices or how much expensive or less expensive the products were, you LEGIT won my heart Lucy. I haven't loved anyone's skin care routine video as much as I've loved yours. It shows how humble, honest and down to earth you are. You're a gorgeous lady who knows that her viewers won't be always rich unlike other youtubers who only show stuff as if the world was all for the rich ones. I cant even express properly how much i adored you throughout the whole video. I love you so much ❤️ I love you a lot ❤️ Well done my baby. More to come and you'll rock in shaa Allah ❤️ Yes. Im a Muslim and I'll pray for you always forever ❤️ summa ameen. Do visit Bangladesh 🇧🇩 someday when you can. You made me respect you more! ❤️
I had acne for so many years. I tried lots of things but differin is the best. I have been using it for 3 months and my skin is clear now. Sometimes I have a spot but a really small one but it's nothing in comparison to what I had. Thank you for your advice 😊😊❤️
@@mamoonrasheed differin doesn’t help me anymore. I don’t know why. Maybe my skin got used to it. I try to eat healthy food, but my skin still looks horrible, so I can not help 🥲
Sad to know ...i have recently started using parley cream its results are good but not that much...if it works i will let u know so that you can also try it
I've suffered from acne for 10 years, no one could solve my problem and find the reason. One day I found the article that lactose intolerance can cause the acne. So I decided to stop drinking/eating food with lactose. One week after I had no acne at all. Very easy solution. P.S. Sorry for mistakes. 😁 Greetings from Russia.
Same for me, lactose intolerance and excluding dairy did the trick. A decade later I discovered that carbs (sugar) is a great trigger too, even managed to eat cheese without breaking. I also used the cream which Lucy was prescribed in my battles against acne.
I have never clicked so fast for a youtube video. Thank you for uploading this skincare video. Please do a haircare and makeup video. Loved the video so much. I am in love with your new channel already.
No wonder you’v got such a perfect skin. You put lots of effort to your skin care! I’m not sure if I have time to follow this routine every day but I’ll try. Thanks for sharing your routine.
I love this Lucy!!! I am 25 and have had awful skin since I was 8 (!!!) and nothing has worked so this is great advice for me! I would love it if you could upload a video about how you do your makeup, specifically your eye makeup. It always looks beautiful! Love your videos, thank you 😘
Miss Earls. Its so cute to see your other side and I really thank that I got your Chanel. I was so desperate to learn British accent with a good grammar perhaps I love to hear yours indeed....
Lucy - 1) I’ve been following your EWL channel for a long time, not to learn English (I’m a native speaker 😂), but because I admire your entrepreneurial spirit. 2) I also used to have bad skin and came out on the other side... I feel your pain!
I think I went on Lymacycline when I was a teenager, but it didn't do anything for me. What worked was Roaccutane, but warning if you go on this: If you're a boy, you'll get quite aggressive, and it weakens your immune system whilst you're on it. At least thats what I was told.
Hi Lucy! Thank you SO much for making such a detailed and in-depth video about all of these sorts of things! I loved watching your videos about hair care and growing your hair as well! I loved that you talked about EVERYTHING and included so much information because these videos have been so helpful! I am a native English speaker so I don't always need to watch your educational English videos however I do love your Instagram and have always hoped that you would make some more videos when you have time about other things as well. I'm so grateful to you for uploading on these subjects and being so comprehensive. PS: I have always wondered how you do your makeup because it looks amazing so if you were to upload a video about this in the future I would be sure to watch it (and take notes haha!). Thanks again so much Lucy!
Hey Lucy, i am a long time subscriber from your main channel and i am now subscribed to your new channel and i very much enjoy it. I really like watching you because you are very entertaining and also, it's good listening practice for me as I am trying to change my general American accent into a modern RP accent. keep up the great work.
I love how sincere you are about the commissions and everything 🥺💕 we appreciate it. Also, I had an appointment with the NHS, and they literally gave me the lymecycline and the topic cream. I think you have had a bad experience witb your gp 😅✨
they seemed so reluctant to give it to me! It was like I had to try everything else first and I felt so hopeless! I’m glad you had a good experience with the NHS. ❤️
@@lucy i can't believe you actually read the comments ❣❣ you are definitely the best 🥰 i sent you a message on insta a few weeks ago 😅 would be cool if you can read it. @camassam Thank's 😁
You look so beautiful!!! It's impossible to imagine you could have ANY problems at all! Thanks for sharing! I also was recommended to use Avene cleanance many years ago and it seems to help
😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗😚😚😚☺️☺️😊😊 It's so homely here in your channel... Long long ago when u started your channel it appeared that u are so good & uncool as teacher but I then began to appreciate your channel as u changed the way of teaching & now its great.......,,😊😊😊 Waiting for another video.....
can u do a video about the NHS healthcare system in general? I heard from my friend she was in the UK for study, she said she didn't have to pay anything for hospital bills. how can it work for foreigner as well? I find that amazing
I would love to know if you had to narrow down the daytime and nighttime products down to the bare essentials, which ones would you choose? I really enjoyed the video!
I would love you to make a video about the steps we should follow to improve our skills at teaching. I'm new at this field so I don't know where and how to start it.😥 I love all your videos.😍
I like to watch your videos even if they are about your personal life or an english lesson ,you are a lovely and sincere person. I have my 18 years old daughter who went to gp -nhs and prescribed same treatment as unfortunately you had to pay for it .my daughter been so happy for about 3 months with tablets and the spots disappear but the cream she said is to stong and feels like burnt her face . Lots of love from us ! 😘😘🤗
Hey Lucy, I'm seeing this video for the first time and I am so glad that somebody is finally paying attention to the ingredients in cosmetic products. I'd also like to suggest two trademarks: WELEDA and Alverde, they are completely organic and can do miracles for your skin (special recommendations for WELEDA's Skin Food cream, and Alverde's Wild Rose oil, they are miraculous!). Love you, and looking forward to seeing more of your videos. ♥
Hey Lucy, this is strikingly incredible! We didn't know that you had been through awful days in tackling acne issues. You look stunning now! :) By the way, do you use facial scrub or facial mask in your daily skincare routine ? 😊
those of you who use a tetracycline antibiotics as acne treatment please consult your doctor first before going on a self prescribed (!) vitamine A complementary diet, since some studies have shown in combination it could lead to a higher risk for pseudotumor cerebri. I wont go too much into the details since I am no expert yet, but it is what we are currently learning on antibiotics & interaction (im studying medince)
Lucy, me encanta tu nuevo canal. A ver cuando nos dedicas un vídeo en Español, quizás con algun StoryTime durante tus años en España. Besos desde Uruguay.
You have a lovely skincare routine. I really enjoyed the video. I do love using facial oils, but I can't handle them on their own. I usually mix my rosehip oil with my cream and it's lovely.
Hey lovely! Yes I will definitely do that once we have moved house in a couple of months - unfortunately there is nowhere suitable for me to film in our current place! Thank you for the suggestion
Boutaina Amghoz true it will better with another background (do u say that in English I am French), u can change the wall decoration behind u, a more cosy atmosphere maybe or at home but maybe it’s not easy for u
@@lucy Hi! I feel this background is perfect, I am a huge fan of plain backgrounds, helps to stay focus and a much bigger fan of white colour. So, this works perfectly well for me!
There's no need for a private consultation first. You just need to know what to ask your GP for. I just went to my GP and asked for Differin gel (gel is definitely better than cream) based on reviews I found online. Previously I'd been on Tetracycline and at first it worked great, but after a couple of years my acne came back and then it just didn't work as well. Also, being several months on antibiotics is less than ideal for your gut... Currently I've been acne-free for about a year and stopped using Differin about six months ago :)
I use a bar of soap. It is face soap. But somehow I don’t think that explains the difference in our appearances! Love the videos on both channels Lucy. Newly subscribed so lots of old vids keep coming up in my recommended.
Hey Lucy! I've been watching your EWL channel for about a year and now I'm happy to see this other side of yourself! About the suncream, have you ever tried the La Roche Posay Anthelios Anti-shine range (the ones with a green line instead of blue)? They are amazing! Keep your skin matte and kind of blur your pores, and they also have tinted options. I swear by them! I've been using it for about 4 years now and I've never tried a better suncream (and I live in a really sunny place!) Cheers from Brazil! xx
Hi Lucy, Love your English lessons and also your skincare story is quite interesting . How many bottles did you use to see the results changing your skin texture and are you carry on using Differin Retinoid gel until now?
Hi, obviously this is an old video, and you are beautiful, so theses products have worked for you...but I just wanted to point out that physical scrubs are generally not recommended with acne, as they can cause microscopic tears in the skin, spread the bacteria and cause increased irritation. BHA’s such as salicylic acid are great for clearing the pores. AHA’s if tolerated clear the dead cells off the top, glycolic acid is the strongest, mandellic acid is more gentle but can also be antibacterial. And Azelaic acid, while strictly not an exfoliating acid, can reduce irritation and ‘teach’ the skin cells to ‘behave better’. But thank you for sharing your routine...there are some beautiful products featured and I love that you promote sunscreen. 😊
How long did you use the limeclycline for before seeing actual change? I've been on it for a bit more than 2 months and I can't see much difference! With the gel as well
That was really interesting :) looking forward to a make-up video. I have pretty light skin like you and I'd love to know what kind of foundation you use because it looks flawless!
Hello Lucy! I really appreciate your work and it is always a pleasure to listen and watch your videos ♥️ One question comes to my mind: how do you massage your face? Do you use some kind of face roller? I've got one from my sister and I wonder how to use it properly 😉
Hello, Lucy. I’m sending my message from Tokyo, Japan. I enjoyed this video😊✨ I really like Weleda’s products, so I’m now using the bodymilk. May I ask one thing, if you don’t mind? Is it usual for you to wash face after having a shower? I’m asking it because I do cleanse and wash a face before having a shower. Basically I do them at once in a bath room :) Excuse my impolite question, because it’s very private matter.
Hi Lucy, I have been prescribed both of these too (differin gel and Lymecycline). I have been on differin gel for 10 weeks and Lymecycline for a week. I purged soo bad with differin gel, when did you start to see results with these ? Haven't had an irritation or anything, but it's pushing everything out. I've heard this is a long term treatment
I really like this new personal channel Lucy and you are always so lovely. I have a couple fo advices on how you can built your channel to make it even more interesting. First it would be nice if in this channel you will have a different background because this ones give me a lot "English with Lucy" vibes, which it is not a bad thing. But just because it's a different, more personal, funny channel It would be nice to see a different, more personal and funny background. Then... I think it can also be interesting that when you do a routine, like morning routine, night routine, skin care routine, everyday makeup routine, you would also show us how you apply your products. You know... Just like you're doing your routine live. I hope this little advices will help you and you will consider them. I wish you luck with this channel! You are gorgeous.
Thank you so much for this vídeo. It's really a pleasure to listen to you. I love your accent and your diction too. I have te same problem with my pillowcases and I have a wrinkle on my left cheek as a result of il. I will try the silk pillowcases.
Thanks for this video :D i love videos about skin, products, makeup.... and of course love your accent, i`m spanish and i find it easier to understand than other ones. Very useful video :-*
Lucy you’re an inspiration to young girls everywhere! I love how you’ve built your channel and are now expanding. Just interested as to whether you’ve tried pale makeup ie without the fake tan and what your reasons are for choosing one or the other? Also please do a makeup video; you look so professional and flawless!
Hi Lucy Can you make a video on what you do to keep your teeth so white ??? Plssssss I love your channel and you are such a beautiful person and with your accent it makes you more attractive
I think, this new channel, is realky cool. Are you planning a video about cooking and recipes? I 've heard you saying you follow youtube videos to learn cooking. It.could be fun something about that. 😊
Hello Lucy! Thank you for sharing your experience! There is always a plenty of things to discover from your videos)) Could you please specify if you were using the first 2 products (Lymecycline capsules and Differin Retinoid gel) contemporary or there was some break between one medicine and another? Thank you in advance and kindest regards!
Okay, I could swear I remember a video from you where you talk about acne, period cramps, and exercise/spearmint tea to help alleviate cramps/acne. I thought Will was in the video, and you mentioned trying naturopathic remedies on him? I can't find it now, can anyone help me out? I thought you talked about when during your cycle you opted for spearmint. Thank you!
Hi Lucy, thanks a lot for sharing your skincare routine. I'm giving differin another try after some failed attempts in the past and hope this time I wont be so disappointed. I also wanted to recommend products from The Facetheory - it's a UK based skincare company that offers some amazing products that I swear by. You might also find some cheaper replacements for the Drunk Elephant serum or the Sunday Riley oil you use :)
Lucy, have you ever used a Foreo Luna 2 cleansing face brush? I’ve just started using it but there are already a lot of videos on RU-vid where you can get honest reviews. Although it’s really expensive, people do recommend it and they say it really helps. Why don’t you give it a try? I do appreciate your skin routine and I thought it’d be great to share this brush with you, it may be good for you, as well 😊 Love from Poland 💕
Curious to know why you dry body brush after your shower? I always thought you had to do it before to get rid of any dead skin ready to be cleansed in the shower. Also the Blue in the Luna oil might be from Blue Tansy essential oil? Always like to watch other peoples routines. And having a routine so young is a great investment for your older self!
I have been suffering from Rosacea in the past twice in my lifetime, and I felt so embarrassed. I had no social life. I think it is coming again. Can you please, please, please tell me which clinic you visited and you managed to be cured successfully?
My case is slightly similar. I suffer from PCOS, and it worsens during PMS, and gps' solution (either here in the UK or back in Spain) was contraceptive pills too, so I feel your pain and frustration at the time. I managed to get my medication for PCOS thanks to a private endocrinologist, and that helped me to loose a good amount of weight and get my periods back. However I wish my skin looked better (not just my face), so probably going to a dermatologist would solve my acne issues, since my medication doesn't help solving all PCOS symptoms.
Aaah lovely I am so sorry that you are going through all of that. PCOS is such an unfair condition. I'm glad you've got it under control. I would definitely look at visiting a dermatologist if you can - I indirectly wasted so much time and money by putting off going for so long!
@@lucy and unfortunately there is no cure for it, we need to learn to live with that condition, changing our lifestyle too. Going to private places (like doctors, nutritionists or personal trainers) I consider them an investment in my health rather than an expense. I just didn't think of going to a dermatologist until you mentioned it today. So thank you!! ❤️
I am French and I am quite surprised that dermatologists are not reimbursed by NHS, we have this in France, if our GP don’t find a solution we can go to visit a dermatologist, I am really surprised by the fact that you say that you will have to apply retinoids on your face for life!!! But not pills maybe...sometimes acne could also come from hormonal disorder, only a blood test can confirm or not, I say that because I had a roaccutane big treatment but after few times, acne again, that was a hormonal disorder that was cured with a hormonal pill treatment
a lot of people seem to want a different shooting style (e.g. different background) but I actually quite like the way it is now! I like how it looks almost like it's another of her English videos (laughed a little when she was running through the "agenda" at the beginning cos it honestly sounded like she was going to start talking about English idioms) and I think it's one of the things that separate her from other RU-vidrs... but maybe it's just me :p
You put a lot of effort into your skin care, no wonder your skin looks beautiful! 😊 Could you please say something more about your facial massage routine? Which technique/tools do you use? How long does it take? I'm allergic to blue dye so Sunday Riley's marketing would send me straight to a doctor's office 😂
Will these products work for everyone? They must be working well for a particular skin type, no?! Also I am 20 should I be using products which have anti-ageing elements at this age ?
