I have some of my own also. Mine glow green when reflected from the light source. So cool. He's still young, so there's more potential to the color to pop more.

That's definitely correct. These guys are young adults, so they are developing still.

It's between that very male and the lighter one with fewer spots on the tail. They differ, but I like the strong structure of your pick. I also think he can produce a more consistent even color/ pattern than that other male. Thank you for that feedback, I highly appreciate it and to my subjective saying we have a shared preference ❤

Really good information! Excited to see this project continue. My personal preference are the guppies with the least amount of yellow and stronger blues.

Then, I have the same feedback from two attentive sources. I like consistency. The more minds that look critical and come to the same conclusion, the better. I am for the two, but now I am leaning to what you repeat, and I agree with what you observe. Thanks alot 🙏

So metal and bandit marks are two different traits?

I have lifted that question with a man 30 years with them, lives, and breed them. I'm still not sure that I can answer this one without the chance of not being correct. I will ask further. A very good one to dig into👍

Amazing that i found this video. I am new to this. I am getting a trio of galaxy blue tail guppy's. Well... They named then that. They are realy blue galaxy guppy's wit a blue tail and a little bit of yellow before the tail. I want to breed them. I am thinking about putting blue metal dragon females with them. Is this a good idea? I don't know what the childeren will look like. I have photo's of everything and would love some help

If you lack females to your galaxy, that may be a good option. It would be good to see the optional both gender that you had in mind to the outcross to evaluate the possible outcome from combo with the fm genetics and what they may bring.

@@karlsfishtube5305 FM is the blue metal dragon? Do you have any more suggestions for an interesting cross breed? I do not lack Galaxy females i am just to cross breed to get new/ a beautiful strain

Well, "Line" breeding is way different from "Strain" breeding and in true is way different from "Gene". Gene breeding is the first step in the line. You "find" the desired Gene you want, color/s, fin size, fin type, and so on. You breed the best male that represents the Gene you want to the best females with that Gene. The second step is to try to strengthen that Gene by taking the best of that set and breeding the best males to the best females. This step is called strain breeding. The last step is to take the best of those males and breed with the prior generation females and do the same with the best females and breed with the previous generation males. This step is called Line breeding. Eventually you will end up getting down to only a couple of males and a lot of females. You will then keep back breeding "line" breeding the females with the last generation males. After a few generations, you will have what is known as a Pure Line or Pure breed.

Step by step and a more pedagogical more correct description and clarification than what i, with limited english, try to voice in this video. Great info👍

I started with Galaxy genes, but going towards a strain that is way different than that of the starting point. When stability is solidified, then you may name it or can name it a line with genetic stability.
