Not too hard to improve to his level once you eliminate input lag and play at high enough frames, and I'm not saying he's not legit -- quite on the contrary -- but there is a reason no professional player runs a 60hz display and otherwise subpar hardware. Low input lag removes the handicap and lets your potential shine through.

@@MrJohannson That's BS lol. Vast majority of players got good on cheap-ass hardware while still living with their parents or going to college. Pretty sure that's true of this guy as well. The fancy low latency stuff came after because you start to notice the lag as your reaction time gets faster.

So Ali I actually just bought the £49 KZ ZS10 Pro IEMs based on your video on them! They sound amazing but I do get a static hiss when using them in my Evo 4 actually. Reading about IEMs tells me it's because they're sensitive enough to pick up the smallest electronic signal from the EVO 4. This is probably your issue with the Elgato amp you tried. I have fixed the static issue by buying the iFi iEMatch+ dongle which reduces the electronic signal passing to the IEMs. They still sound great! Also, I use the Shure MV7, the SM7Bs younger brother, and added a Klark Teknik Mic Booster to get the extra gain via XLR. MUCH cheaper than the Dynamite.

Excellent and clean review as always. I would add a word of caution for those switching to in-ear earbuds for gaming. Some fps games have very loud spikes in the volume (gun shot, getting hit etc) which may consequently hurt some people's ear drum in the long run due to the enclosed nature of earbuds. I ended up with tinnitus from using earbuds and only recovered when discontinuing using them for like a month.
@joelconolly5574
@joelconolly5574 2 года назад
true. Those shots are hard and pointy. Very bad for the ears. I'm rocking the Apple Earbuds (3.5mm version) and that one has pretty good balance of a driver compared to my 2nd Sony earbuds. But if you can't handle the sound of it I think headset is the way to go. I'll probably get one that's suited for better spatial detection. Otherwise, earbuds sre plenty light.
@MrStarpeto
@MrStarpeto 2 года назад
I play a lot of CSGO, and I recommend you to use loudness equalization, it lower the high volume stuff and enhance the low volume stuff, you get both less disturbance from high volume sounds like rifles spray or AWP shots while enhancing far away steps and small noises, it feels almost like a cheat code for the sound profile of tactical FPS! (you might loose just a bit of spatiality, but nothing that will hinder your pin point precision)

If you are patient enough, wait on the m3k (comes out late 2023). I’m in the discord and they said the cable will be improved significantly because the cable on the m2k is pretty bad and people definitely feel the drag. They claim the m3k’s cable will be as good as a wireless mouse (feels like there’s no cable) and even though they do plan on making a wireless version at some point when it’s possible, they say it would be kinda pointless because of how good the cable will be. I’m taking their claims with caution but even if it’s not as good as they claim to be, any upgrades from the m2k cable would be worth it imo.
@Inconsistense

@@HeyNavi Hey, Thanks for letting me know, I might have to join the discord! Also I guess if they make it wireless it will add to the weight too, and that's the whole reason I am getting it to be honest, unless they could make it only add a few grams but just have to wait and see. Thanks again!
@HeyNavi

@@Inconsistense no problem and yeah the battery weight is an issue they’re holding off until they can stuff it with batteries that hardly add any weight. So when (if) the wireless version does come out, I wouldn’t worry about the weight because their philosophy is to keep their mouses as light as possible and I’m sure they wouldn’t use batteries that contradict their philosophy.

Audient Evo 4 output impedance is measured around 22ohms, which does well with headphones over 150ohms, the IE300 is 16ohms and therefore changes the frequency response when connected to the Audient Evo 4. 5:47 It's due to the resistance/impedance of the IEMs. The resistance of the IEMs is higher than the wave XLR is able to output, creating white noise. On Elgato's wave xlr specs-page it reads: Maximum Headphone Port Output Level 77 mW @ 16 Ohm The IEMs I have checked out lately have a resistance of at least 30 ohms, meaning to power these IEMs, more power is required from the DAC/interface to the IEMs. As I understand it, its like putting a car in high gear (your IEMs resistance) at low speed (Your DACs resistance) and trying to get up a hill (Produces white noise because struggles). Your EVO 4's headphones out port supports up to 50 ohms, where the DAC output (on the back?) supports up to 100 ohms. I own a Roland VT-4 that I use for my setup, my headphones output support 24 ohms, meaning my KZ ZS10s produce some white noise while using it (these have a resistance of 30 ohms). The back of the VT-4 supports up to 1000 ohms, and while using the back I experience no white noise at all.

@@trench6118 Exactly. I'm glad I own my VT-4 interface with the support for higher impedance, else I'd have to invest in something else... Update! I swapped the keyboard PCB to the one from the Wooting 60HE. Video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-glQNEbh79xg.html Also few questions on monitor - currently using the Acer Nitro 390Hz for competitive stuff, but probably switching to 1440p/270Hz when new GPUs come out!

If you’re serious about IEMs as mains you have to try customs. They’re so much more comfortable it’s not even funny. Worth the investment for comfort alone tbh. Custom art makes some fantastic CIEMs and the guy behind the company is very involved/talented at what he does.

The white noise you hear is from a high noise floor. IEMs are so sensitive they can pick up on a noisy amp

For the wave XLR, try going into the software for it and turn on the low impedance when you click the settings on the furthest left audio rectangle thing, could help with the white noise

Exactly, glad they fixed this, the volume was all digital and the headphone amp cranked up, that's why the hiss was constant no matter the volume.

@@cykablyat114 for streaming purposes, truly not, the WaveXLR is insanely good. Just the clipguard and virtual channel capabilities put it way above any competition, especially at that pricepoint. The integrated VST host is also godsent. Also it has got tons of clean gain thanks to a pretty nifty cirrus logic converter block design.

I also get huge static with IEMs, the trick is to turn the input up but the volume of the audio powering device down. Edit: it just seems to happen because IEMs don't need much power and you're giving them too much.
