Old comment forbanyone looking they make terrible pets. They are not related to cats and there is a reason these types of videos are a few minutes max.
@@TheDreadedJuggernaut They're viverrids, which is the stem order from which canids and felids derived, so yeah, they are related to cats, and to dogs.
I still think it's more fascinating to observe these animals in the wild where they truly belong, please let them be, they're not an object or a companion, they are living creatures, buy an actual domestic animal instead if you want a pet friend! Seriously why this need to take wild animals in a house? Don't you have enough choices with a cat, a dog or a rat?
pfft, you don't know the first thing about domestication Cats and dogs can be just as bad if not worse when feral (wild),. Genets can be well suited for companionship, but they're very unique and require special care. Many pets we have today, like many species of pet birds, aren't domesticated. Just like any companion animal, they all start out wild. Domesticated pets like cats and dogs are great, it's just some of us admire genets.
You do realize the only reason modern civilization exists today is due to the domestication of cows, pigs, horses dogs and other animals and plants. Grow up.
I've heard that they are actually very good bonding wise. I'm not sure how I stand on this, but I think I stand more on letting them live in the wild, but maybe a few as pets wont hurt the environment
