Please note sombu is not added to Bisi Bele Bath. It spoils the original flavour. Only specific vegetables are used. No onion. What you made is something different
As far as my knowledge, we put other vegetables like carrot, beans , brinjal and all in bisibelebath . But that mami used only onion and no more vegetable. Don't know why?. I am confused.

Very happy to see all mamis joining cooking and eating together enjoying each others company. Here at 70 our social life is zero in Australia. And wearing traditional cotton sarees. I'm appalled to see readymade blouses with such low backs not good for our Indian image.

Im retired teacher We have a group of 5 teachers we used to get together during working time We still did but because of Corona we could not meet up We are waiting for the time to get together Im very much happy to see All of you together It give positive and happy moments and should continue get together Take care mamies
Madam.. real bisi bele huli anna .. which is the actual name... is made with toor dal and rice in the ratio of 1:1. The masala doesnt have fennel seeds and traditional bisi bele huli anna is made without onions. The masala has chana dal, dhania seeds, a little jeera, pepper, curry leaves, red chillies, 2-3 pcs of clove and 1inch pc cinnamon. Rice and dal is cooked together. The masala is added after tamarind is cooked and lastly rice-dal mix is added. This may be tasty but isnt authentic.
