Ok so here is a clarification on the ages of some characters that you guys get confused on; Madara is currently in his 100s. Hiruzen (the 3rd Hokage) was 70 years old in the original series and died at that age. Jiraiya was 50 to 51 years old in the original series and died at 54 . Orouchimaru was 50 to 51 years old in the original series and died at 54 . Granny Chiyo was 73 years old when she died. Sasori was 35 years old when he died. Kakazu was 91 years old when he died Kakashi is currently 30 years old (same with Asuma who died at that age) Itachi Murdered his clan at 13, joined the Akatsuki at 14, and died at 21. I hope this helps.

itachi is definitely among top 10 best Anime Characters ever made, along With Pain, Aizen and Goku for example. Goku we don't need to say a word we know what he represents, Aizen is dope too, itachi is so well written as well as Pain whos for me is the greatest Anime Villain of all time. These are such Epic characters in fiction.

Also disclaimer so that all the stans don't come upto to hate on me, I love Naruto, it is the sole reason I started watching the anime medium in the first place. I've also rewatched the whole series more than 20+ times. But you don't need to blindly stan a show for you to love it, you can criticize it's flaws and you'll still love the show as much you still do. And people like this who think that the characters and the anime itself is the best written of all time really irks me because there are so many underrated animes that are way above it in terms of writing.

People get mad at the third hokage cause he didn’t do anything, it’ll say it like this, the hokage is the “president” and the advisers and danzo foundation are basically Congress. The hokage can’t just do what ever he wants

not really as the political system in the hidden leaf isn't a democratic republic, he wasn't ill intentioned but he was weak, and that was explicitly portrayed by his failure to stop oroshimaru when he knew he was conducting experiments on children which resulted in them dying, just because he was his student. No, Hiruzen was an enabler. It's one of his character flaws, and the Uchiha massacre is one of the biggest examples of it. Hiruzen let the people he was close to (Orochimaru and Danzo) get away with shit WAY too often, and his inaction had massive consequences. Hiruzen needed to put his foot down with Danzo at many stages, and he never did.

It's amazing how Itachi gave both Naruto and Sasuke some kind of power to protect them. Gave Sasuke Amaterasu and he gave Naruto Shisui's eye. This really shows how much Itachi wanted to protect the village, even after his death. LEGEND.

Lindsey; I never understood the thing about killing to obtain more powerful eyes, it just didn’t make sense. Me; The uchiha are a very emotional clan, the way their eyes/brain is set up is abit different from normal clans. If they go through a lot of pain mentally they get stronger and this is why Itachi said to Sasuke that he should kill his best friend to obtain the Mangekyo sharingan because he knew that Sasuke probably didn’t have many comrades that meant something to him except Naruto. Imagine the Uchiha clan like characters in the dbz world, the more they go through the stronger they get but with the uchiha is mentally instead of physically that they have to get pushed. Hope this explains this

Leaf village is super corrupt for sure. Senju clan practices nepotism, doesn't allow any outsiders to become Hokage. Forced Uchiha clan out of government by making them police force. Ordered the slaughter of the whole Uchiha clan based on suspicion.

Sarutobi and Namikaze were outside of the Senju clan on all fronts, the only commonality was Hiruzen being trained by Tobirama and that was mostly a snap, honor based decision. Beyond that, while the Ninetails attack added fuel to the flame, the fact that a coup was most certainly being planned and confirmed by Itachi and that said coup would almost certainly result in a new Great Shinobi War where the destruction of the Leaf was likely, well, that's where you get the horribly pragmatic decision by the elders. Well, aside from power-hungry Danzo.

So what she's saying is even though he claimed that 16 years ago the demon fox attack was a natural disaster, Madara coming back to fight Hashirama over 80 years ago using the Kurama showed that if Madara can use his Sharingan to control Kurama, then chances are another Uchiha can too. So when it happened again at Naruto's birth 16 years ago, it stood to reason it was an Uchiha again...thus it was a good idea to be suspicious about the Uchihas. Whereas had Madara not done that against Hashsirama, the Uchiha's wouldn't have lived their lives under suspicion.

1). I was the same. I didnt know whats the case with Itachi but i saw fans loving him so i anticipated some redemption as well. 2) I still dont like Itachi in spite of the fact i watched the whole thing because i dont think his intentions give him the right to kill his entire family. Seriously ? I know in hindsight its easy to blame Sandaime Hokage for everything, but he is NOT a king... he's like a president, and just like a President his power isnt absolute he can be checked by Congress or the Senate... Sandaime disagreed with the plan, while the other 3 thought it was "the bomb"... and Danzu implemented his plan in secret anyway since he was head of ALL Anbu back then, not just Foundation.

We already knew from original Naruto 3rd was a student of 2nd and 1st so it was never a thing Hashirama and Madara should have been ancient history. But, i agree about he didn't designed this way because i'm pretty sure in the chase of Sasuke, many genins should have died but they just become all well after arc ended. Also Kakashi should have been dead too but he was such a favorite character maybe even on par with Naruto, he didn't die many times. There are things that shouldn't have been but it's not about ages or history behind it. It's actually current time that we follow.
