Bobby Womack's most famous song has to be "Across 110th Street" which was used in a number of movies such as "Jackie Brown," "Across 110th Street" and "American Gangster" starring Denzel Washington. Here are a few more great soulful songs that you may not have heard of before: 1) The Chi-Lites - Oh Girl '72 2) Marvin Gaye - I Want You '76 3) Sonny Charles and The Checkmates Ltd. - Black Pearl '69. Enjoy!

Jay, (maybe Amber too), if you've ever listened to Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together," she references this song in the lyrics. "If You Think You're Lonely Now" was released in 1981 from Bobby's album The Poet. The single reached #3 for four weeks on the Hot Soul Singles chart. The song's success was significant because he had released it during a time when the charts were largely dominated by dance music. Great reaction to a classic!!!
