I recorded a race I participated on last weekend and I have a 90 min timelapse of it instead of a video :facepalm: Thanks for the tip.
@SkillsWithPhil
@SkillsWithPhil 2 года назад
That sucks man, its the worst feeling! I wish I could delete modes / settings. All photo modes would be be the first to be deleted. The only time i take a photo is on accident :P

@@SkillsWithPhil Great video btw!, thanks for taking the time of showing us all your setup. I race XC so my best option is to use a chest mount. I have a 7 black, but I think I might upgrade to a 10+lens mod for a better footage, as you mention.
@MTBMOR

LOL I know the feeling....I rode all day in narrow mode when I wanted superview. I watched 3 videos then deleted the rest.

Definitely the most useless Gopro shortcut. If I'm going to start recording a timelapse, I'm in no hurry, I can boot up the camera, choose the mode and start it... 😠On the Gopro 8, the timelapse shortcut is a double tap on the record button, which, since the gopro is kinda slow to start, happened to me more than once thinking the first tap didn't work...

I discovered your channel recently and thoroughly enjoy it!! Given the vids I’ve watched on your channel, I thought I understood the fact that you put a lot of effort into them. But WOW, I really didn’t have any idea after seeing this vid. Thanks for explaining not just your process, but the reasons behind many of your decisions. You are truly a First Class Act and a magnificent “Ambassador” to not just MTB but to MTB (and its peripherals) videography in general. I ALWAYS look forward to your next vid. Well Done again!! Please continue to be inspiring Sir! Peace

Always do these setup videos please. It may be true that they may not interest "everyone". But that is because your audience consists of far more than just people wanting to know how to ride or that simply enjoy living vicariously through your adventures. It also consists of a handful of us who are building our own adventures, and are seeking out the trailblazers that we relate with most to learn from. These gopros are agonizing to learn how to work with all the technology. So your take, on your setup, and your reasoning behind those choices, is important. We appreciate this shared information, presented like it came from an old friend.

I’ve watched all of your tutorial vids for gopro now and they’re all super helpful! I have a new hero9 and was playing around with it today. Mounted it to the chin of my TLD Stage helmet with a 3D printed mount and zip-ties and it works great. Setting the EV Comp and white balance was big. Can’t wait to get out and film more and understand this stuff better. Peace 🤜🤛
