As someone with a broken rib, I can honestly say that i was horrified by pain from the uncontrollable laughter induced by the 'springy buddies' 14:12 part ... you absolute s.o.b 😂😂😂 Making a man in pain laugh like that was totally irresponsible and inappropriate... and i thank you for every agonising moment. 🤣😅 Been here since the beginning and still enjoying every video. I would be really curious to see how tall an enclosure you could make for an arboreal tarantula, similar to the one you made for the fossorial. How much does the tarantula move when they have a lot of room to move up and down a tree? This video was great, it's so cool to see someone experienced in the hobby still trying to figure out new ways of keeping these amazing animals. It's so inspiring.
Petko, I want to say thank you for your content. I went to a museum because they had a special spider exhibit. And I had so much prior knowledge of spiders and tarantulas because of you. It was truly enjoyable and I would have never been 1/2 as interested in them if it weren’t for your unique and passionate content.

I love Petko too, but this was just an easy one to predict. From my many years keeping, and many years in contact with people that study in the wild as well, it was eventualy going to happen. Personally my love for my pets would keep me from risking it, I cried last time my old Avic died.They live a long time, 100% would eventually come in contact with each other. I think risking the sweet avic was not worth it, I disagree with him believing it was worth it, however, I do like Petko and his vids have gotten me through tons of hard times. I could easily be friends with him and would love to go there and hang, but yeah we certainly disagree on some things......
Hey Petko, those new enclosures are lovely just like the 'girls' now in them. I love purple. So i think the 2nd one may be my favourite tarantula in the whole dark den 😁.
That Dominican Purple is gorgeous! Mine is a sling still and will be glad when she's an adult! Also I'm getting your enclosures from Tarantula Cribs tomorrow and can't wait to rehouse some of mine!

I found it pretty good to actually test it out you know that's how our community started was how to care for captive spiders so there is no wrong is doing tests and such cause we wouldn't of known so to the people screaming at him you should settle down on the sofa and recollect yourself and breath cause every animal keeper have done tests to see what is appropriate and what isn't for a animal

Exactly! There are many people commenting and trying to bring him down for a mistake. Common sense is extinct on this planet and people assume that trying to cancel him is the way to go instead of accepting that we as humans make mistakes, that is how we learn

@@zdenekpolesovsky9438Animals die from human error in the name of science all the time (that includes our beloved medicine and vaccines). But because you don’t see it, it doesn’t cross your mind. As long as it doesn’t prolong suffering, it’s okay. He didn’t intentionally cause it harm nor did he prolong its suffering. We have the ability of hindsight while Petko does not.
Just done feeding my neighbours cat to my dogs. Right in time for another dark den vid 🎉. Jokes aside, that terrarium was huge so I stand by your experiment. Tarantulas eat tarantulas in nature. It’s unfortunate but it is what it is. How far you people pointing your finger @ petko wanna take it? Do you eat meat? Do you know what HORRORS those animals go thru? Do you HAVE to eat meat? Same shit. Take a friggin’ chill pill, the guy obviously loves his animals. As someone who has had reptiles for over 28 years but is pretty new to tarantulas it was actually a valuable lesson for me, and thanks to petko I know this now.
If you wanted to test whether an arboreal tarantula would go to the ground, you could have done a time lapse vid or motion capture instead of finding out by it getting eaten

There is a lot to it, people are going to hold others accountable, it's not a matter of don't like don't watch. People deserve to have their opinions heard if someone is publicly displaying these things.

You can not replicate nature. And I am conflicted on still following you cause now you have tripled down on this dumb idea. Your so called experiment put your animal at risk and you’re ok with that. I would have more respect had you called it what it is --Maybe with the feed back I would have more respect had you called it a feeding video.
Without these types of experiments people would never learn. Stop criticising Petko over one mistake any way it not your animals and if you have a problem with him don’t watch the vids and shush. Ive been watching you for over a year now and was so disappointed in the ‘experiment’ you carried out , as someone with a much smaller collection im frankly horrified you would gamble a pets life like that so needlessly, yes lesson learnt but so unnecessary in the first place
