7 hours 81 thumbs up and ZERO trolls thumbing you down. Thats hard to do. Amazing job fixing your mistake with the router. Well done Caleb.

This project turned out so beautiful! Thanks for adding old videos all together to give us the final version! And the time stamp with what was going on in each section of the video was very nice! The added touch with the people who help make this project happen was so nice! I hope they loved it!

Very nice work. The section where you delayed gluing the base was insightful (I’ve been there myself) I know you were telling yourself if I bugger this up I’m going to cry. Good woodworking skills and excellent videos. Well done.

Now I feel guilty for not watching the full build videos! Great job! Several great tips and tricks! Great job explaining the curved cuts and joining the boards PLUS the other tips you shared! Now I have to go watch the full build videos! Thanks for doing the "quick" version video Caleb and sharing with us!

Haha no worries! Even I don't care for following along with multi part videos.. just hard to get back into it once you miss one. That's why I did this super video :) Thanks for watching!

This is awesome. What a great video. I learned a ton. I have router bushings but I am still a little confused on how or why to use them and I haven’t yet. Maybe that could be a dedicated video? I love that you used the magnetic base from your dial indicator thing as a stop block. Definitely cheaper than a mag switch! I would have never thought of that! I love the info on the sealer with the tip on gloss vs satin. I don’t have a domino but I do have a self centering dowel jig, I hope that this could get me by at a small fraction of the cost. I will now become a Patreon supporter! If you are ever in Iowa let me know! I owe you a steak

Thanks, Jim! I'll definitely take you up on that if I wonder out that way. And a dowel jig can definitely help with alignment. I stay away from them for panel glue ups though because you'll need several and if just one of them is out from its mate.. the thing ain't coming together. I'd recommend watching my "4 Common Mistakes That Ruin a Flat Table Top" video and use the caul method if you don't have a domino. Thanks for all the great feedback and hope to see you in a Patreon hangout!

The moment @ 10:25 when your kid realized you were filming is priceless! lol. Also, I don't understand guide bushings and what they are for. Is it only for when you have a collet extension?
@YouCanMakeThisToo
@YouCanMakeThisToo 4 года назад
Bits that have bearings on them let you flush trim items together. If the bit doesn't have a bearing but you want to use it to follow a template you a bushing lets you do that. But it also creates an offset. That offset can be handy sometimes though.
@fosteredwoodworks

@@YouCanMakeThisToo I understand the bearings but knowing that for the bushings is good. Thank you! Now the water is only a little less muddy.
