Adam Stevens (not a doctor) has the answers to the confusion many people, and most Doctors, suffer - why people like you, in the western world are getting fatter, sicker and living out life with terrifying health issues.
Having been born with a complex heart condition Adam felt well cared for under the NHS. He absorbed medical knowledge from birth to his thirties but the one piece of the puzzle missing was food and the cloud of deception we are all living under. It took the abrupt death of his father to make him question the correlation between the western diet and severe health issues. Through testing the theory on himself lowering his own bad cholesterol by 46% , studying constantly and changing his own health destiny he then began changing other peoples - from, cumulative weight loss of an estimated 100 tonnes of excess body fat and reversing type 2 diabetes to people with fibromyalgia going from bed bound to bounding up mountains.
Do the food companies really tell you what’s healthy? Do doctors really cure you? How do you really know what you think you know? These are all of the questions Adam asks and answers with no holds barred.
This talk was featured at the first TEDxPeterborough on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at The Key Theatre. Our theme was Variety Is The Spice Of Life. Imagine trying to hot wire a car, at 3am and drunk.
The experimental open heart surgery Adam had, at just 21 months, was just that. A stab in the dark!
Born blue, he shouldn’t have survived, most definitely not to 39.
A short life expectancy changes you, says Adam. No time for lazy, self-absorbed people.
He had a plethora of jobs before seeing the bigger picture - changing the health destiny of the western world on the back of changing his own through diet.
Pie in the sky? His clients’ results speak volumes. Funny how his original plan was to become an anaesthetist, spend his life putting people to sleep.
Now through Intelligent Eating he wakes them up. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
