O the memories. This reminds me of another one of my favorite bands from this time period. Please give "The Cure" a listen. Maybe "Just Like Heaven" or "The Love Cats" or "Boys Don't Cry". I'll stop at three but there are many many more great songs by The Cure. Peace/JT
The lyrics are a unique mix of upbeat, loving, with hints of darkness thrown in...quite 80s. Even as a dedicated metalhead back then, I loved this New Wave tune (among some others too)...it's probably my favorite of that genre. You couldn't help but get up and dance to this one.

Dear Empress, have you heard of the band "Heilung" yet? They do some very intense and interesting tribal and ancient music which they themselves call amplified history. Their music always gives me a feeling of getting into touch with my own ancestors, with the wild ancient nature of my home country and lets me feel connected to nature and the roots of our early origin, as well as calm and happy just to be alive. It is an experience. I'd like to recommend reacting to "Anoana" by Heilung, it is one of their newer songs and in my opinion gives a good impression of the band, their style and what Heilung is all about. I promise, you won't regret listening to them. All the best and kind regards from Germany.
