I too had wpw and had an ablation at 20’yesrs old 17 years ago. My surgery was 5+ hours long. I still have part of my electrical pathway too but so far it hasn’t came back! Back when I had it done there wasn’t a lot of info and google and RU-vid videos to watch so I had no idea how serious it was back then. I’m glad you’re doing well and will cross everything I can that your wpw stays gone too!

I’m so glad you were asleep for this. I had a 10 hour ablation surgery and did it with no sedation and no pain meds until hour 8 because my doctor really wanted to find the arrhythmia and he said sedation might make it harder. Of course he said if I couldn’t take it he would put me to sleep. But I had nothing until they started burning the pathways in my heart. I made it through the first or second time of them burning my heart and by the 3rd time I was screaming in pain so they finally gave me some pain meds at hour 8 and then it took a total of 10 hours. So I made it 8 hours with no meds, not even Tylenol! Everyone was so amazed that I made it as long as I did! God gave me the strength and so many people were praying. I was also 20 when I had my ablation (I’m now 30)

I had that same thing happen after a surgery I had. I needed to pee but those muscles were still asleep. It went on for what felt like hours. I was hysterically crying and begging for a catheter to alleviate the pain. They finally did it, no pain meds either, but that pain paled in comparison to the bladder pain I was in. I’ll never forget that pain !

Girl, I had to have an emergency C-section in March 2022. No doctor in the OR told me they were giving me anesthesia. I started going unconscious, fighting it so hard, because I thought I was dying from blood loss (I was loosing a lot, it was spraying on the little curtain and on the doctors). I was screaming telling them I was dying, still no one told me I was put under. Last thing I heard was my baby's first cry. Apparently that said hospital is now in the process of shutting down everything dept except emergency care. I thank God every time I see my healthy, happy, almost 2 year old.

Are you guys are doing so well ~handling it and explaining in such detail and I am so glad that you did make it through Sophia. I did pray for you and I know about the mastitis and how painful that can be and how sick that can make a person. I had an experience once on my daughter’s first birthday, it was on a Sunday and at church I went up to get prayed for and the Prayer person told me to hold my hand out so Jesus can touch them and I did in faith~ and by the time we got to my in-laws for the birthday party I was able to get up on chairs to decorate and enjoy the party was smiling and all the pictures and I was just fine. That is what the Lord can do and He is good!! I know Jesus has your heart in His hand and by His wounds, you’re healed❣️🧡🕊✨

The Mayo clinic hospital is the best they've did all 8 of my heart surgery and my mom's 17 hrs reconstruction back surgery they were the only surgeons I'm multiple states who would do such intensive surgery I love those doctors❤❤❤

I had an ablation done in August for Afib n SVT. Similar situation, they told me 1 incision point near groin, but when I woke up, they went in both sides of groin and my neck. They also kept me over for 1 night. Recovery was harder than I thought. My legs hurt so bad, it hurt to walk to the bathroom. My neck incision took a couple weeks to fully heal. Got to say I've been fortunate that it's been very successful, no episodes since then! I hope no more for many years to come! ❤

A UTI can also happen from having a catheter! I got one after a minor procedure and it turned into sepsis about 2wks after. Worst experience ever. I literally felt like I was close to that veil line. Definitely never felt so weak and out of it. My heartbeat was 145 a min while asleep. I was so dehydrated and they left me w/o an IV for 8hrs! I had kidney failure and lactic acid in my system. Absolutely horrible time. I was in ICU for 2 days.
