I also got that vibe from him but then they talked about his powers more and I feel like he has potential. If he copies someone with a mutation quirk that only effects the surface of his body, he should be able to use it. He may also be able to shapeshift parts of himself or reattach body parts, due to his slime like nature. Plus even if he can't do any of that, I'd still call his powers super cool. It's the perfect power for espionage. Unlike school of magic Xylo, Flex hasn't pretended to have a power different from his own, he's just lying about who he is in general.

I feel for the Wonderwall situation there are two main scenarios 1. he attempts to get Wonderwall to leave or to knock him out and Wonderwall sees skill in him and promises not to tell everyone he faked the recommendation. 2. He knocks out Wonderwall sends him away and for the rest of that day impersonates him.

I really love your new character, Xylo! He's so innocent and pure yet he managed to scam himself into the Academy. It also doesn't hurt how much he looks like Koro-sensei from Assasination Classroom. Also, on the topic of scamming and Wonderwall eventually visiting Monarch Academy, I have one idea of how Flex can get outta this. One of the other student's is Lynx and they have a Quirk called Memory Manipulation. If Flex befriends them maybe he can ask a favor for Lynx to manipulate Wonderwall's memory as to seem he did recommend Flex so he can stay at the Academy! It's a win-win! Flex gets a new friend AND he gets to stay at Monarch!! 😀
