My favorite Paula’s Choice product is the Ultralight Super Antioxidant Serum. I’ve been using it daily for a very long time and I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price as they have frequent sales.
I just discovered this La roche Posay cicaplast baume B5 and OH LORD!!! This thing is a skin saver from irritation, damaged skin barrier and especially for hydration in -40 degree winter. I know you love La Roche-Posay brand but I don't think I've seen you try this product. As a satisfied citizen, I recommend it to you 😊
Not all Paula’s Choice products are vegan. They do have a list of products that contain animal products on their website, which makes it easier to choose vegan products.
Thanks to one of your videos from November 2022, I bought products from Paula's Choice and fell in love with RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer with Retinol. I also use their C5 eye cream and moisturizer and my skin has improved significantly!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you! 🙏🏼
My wife has had acne dark spots and horomonal acne for 10 years. Nothing worked except paulas choice. I ordered a whole kit for her after researching for weeks. Soon i will get a laser treatment for her, but its been life changing finding paulas choice.
My skin saver in winter is Paula's Choice Resist Intensive Repair Cream. Nothing cures winter flakes for me like this cream. I buy it on sale at 20% off. It is better than anything else from other brands I have ever tried.
It is truly wonderful! I love that I'm able to have the small amount of retinol that's in it, on my sensitive Rosacea skin. I've always been afraid to try retinol, but thanks to Paula's Choice, I can!
the chemical exfoliant has saved me.. I had the biggest, grossest poors/blackheads on my nose and surrounding area.. I'm a 33 year old man and I was perpetually embarassed by being an adult with the acne of a squeaky teen.. 12/10
Thank you so much Dr Locke for the Paula's Choice reviews .. I have been using PC for at least 10 years .. their prices went up a bit .. not too terribly bad though .. Thank you again for all you do!! I always look forward to your videos, you do a fantastic job. God bless you!! 🌹
I just started using PC 1% retinol and I’m happy with the results. The one thing I wish I had listened to was use a sunscreen or stay out of the sun that week.I read that it would burn, tingle after putting it on the first time but nothing so I assumed it wasn’t going to work. The next day I went outside for 15 mins and my face was on fire.I had to hold a cold washcloth on it several times before the burning subsided so don’t learn the hard way like me.🤯
Thank you, I’m looking at buying some Paula’s Choice this year and replace some of my high end skincare. It’s not available in Sephora 🇨🇦Canada and I have to mail order it which has been my roadblock.
I'm a fan of their bha's but just fyi 2% isn't the strongest sal acid you can get over the counter lol the brand also sells 4% and 9% salicylic acid products
If you like the 2% Salicylic Acid you can buy their Weightless Body Treatment and use it on the face. It also has 2% Salicylic Acid and it’s 7 ounces. Far more economical and it has a lovely texture. Their Lip & Body Treatment Balm is the most moisturising lip balm I have ever used. You only need a tiny amount so it last forever. I use it every night and wake up with super soft lips.
Paula's Choice was my holy grail skin care in my 40's. I think their formulas had been changed quite a bit and for me is not what it used to be. Also, the prices had increased a lot.
I love their products and I'm 36 now. What do you think of InkeyList or FaceTheory? Maybe those are skin care products you could switch over to, to try? Those are SUPER AMAZING. FaceTheory is more gentle on the skin and for more vulnerable skin. InkeyList has ingredients like the new formula's of Paula's choice. That's logical though that the products changed over the years. All the newest technology/researches so to say got incorporated in the Paula's Choice products. Think of cruelty free/not tested on animals, vegan (this really wasn't the norm 10 years ago but now it mostly is) the peptides, more natural ingredients etc etc. Paula's Choice would've been long gone if they wouldn't have implied all the new formulas/techniques that are actuallly proven to really work and are also approved by skin care experts. We can't say that about most other brands. All brands are trying to keep up with getting better products/formulas. You were used to the old formulas which were probably way more gentle to the skin and less effective compared to now (as they know so much more about skin care now) even though your skin might still look really great for your age. I seriously don't know how older ladies accomplished keeping their skin so nice for their age. I sometimes see ladies that are 65 and look 10 years younger. You can CLEARLY SEE whom took great consistent care of their skin and whom didn't. I'm 36 now and most people think I'm still 24 but that's also because I've got a fit hourglass body shape. Most the ladies of my age have LOTS of deep wrinkles all over their face and that's shocking to see for me actually! Maybe you could still use the products but start using it once a week then twice a week and building it up as products might be too harsh for you at first to use it every day? Did you stopped using Paula's Choice? Blessings, love, light and lots of positivity from the Netherlands 🙏💚🌷🇳🇱
I really want to try the 2% bus toner but I don’t see it being worth the price when there are other 2% dupes. Is there anything that differentiates it from dupes?
Yes it has a lower PH compared to others and high amounts of penetration enhancers that is why it is on the oilier side. I've tried many more affordable alternatives because of the high price but others don't work as well.
Paula's Choice Super Antioxidant Serum is one of my must haves. In the summer I use it as a moisturizer rather than lotion/cream. I mix it with my foundation when I want a serum foundation. It is one product I would not be without as long as it's available! I DO wish they'd put it back in a tube. The tube travels better & I can get every bit of product out of the tube. I buy the retinol version & use that only occasionally because my skin is sensitive. I only recently tried the retinol/bakuchiol cream & absolutely love it! It is good to take advantage of PC sales. On occasion I move away from these products but always end up going back. I love that they are cruelty free & am willing to pay a bit more for that (with the sales, you don't end up spending more, though!). The only thing I find myself looking for elsewhere is a heavy moisturizer when I need one. I feel the heavier moisturizers by PC are either too light or have a waxy feel that I don't prefer. Avene products are great but they are not a cruelty free company which is important to me. Thanks for this informative video, it is very helpful! 💖
@@angiepattillo3599 I've tried the moisture boost sunscreen which I enjoy during colder months. I've used the super antioxidant serum with retinol occasionally. Recently, I started the Retinal lotion with bakuchiol, and my skin tolerates that much better! It's good to get travel sizes to try the products!
Does the Azaelic acid treatment also fade post acne marks? I love Paula's Choice and have used many of these exact products but as they come out with new products, I've started buying way too many and need to figure out how to pick out just the necessities for me
Thank you for this video! I love Paula's choice! I try not to go on that website because it's pricey but I always rebuy the pore reducing toner with niacinamide. I have these weird bumps on my vermilion which I think is from the sun.. and that toner is the only product that gets rid of them.
❤ Your videos are very informsaive. Thank you for all the work you do to inform us. Can you make a video abot essenses? Some say it is unnecessary. Other say it is underestimated anf very good to give moisture. . Blessings 💗
Do you mean toners? Paula's Choice toners are different from most. They're actually treatments/moisturizers/anti-aging, etc. They prepare your skin for your other product applications.
I always have Paula’s choice 2% liquid exfoliant and their 1 % retinol in my routine. The exfoliant really clears out the pores on my nose and it’s non irritating on my skin. The retinol has really made a difference on my 52 yr old skin. Your video has made me want to try more from this brand Love your videos. I use the verses body retinol that you mentioned on my neck and chest! It rubs In quickly
Paula's Choice has the most well thought out ingredients of any skin care line I know of. Even if others look like they have the same ingredients it can be misleading. The quality of the ingredients, the percentage, and what else is mixed with them can make a huge difference in how well you can tolerate the product, and how well it works.
Love the azeleic acid - really brightens my skin and keeps it clear! I also love the resist retinol serum - goes on so smooth and silky! Wake up with smooth and clear skin
Thanks much, Dr. Locke. Is it ok to first use the Paula's 15% vitamin C & ferulic acid boosts glow which includes ascorbic acid with the moisturizer and eye cream which have a better form of vitamin C, particularly for skin of color?
For me, my favorite product is the anti aging eye cream with peptides. It is so thick but doesn’t feel greasy at all. I love it!!! But now I also want to try the new vit c you showed 😊
Love the 20% niacinamide and vitamin c lotion. The vitamin c eye cream did not work well for me…seemed a bit irritating. Love your videos…keep ‘em coming!
I just started c15 today but I only used it in the morning because I like to ease into my products when I first try them because I have sensitive skin . Would you recommend to use this 3 times a week or everyday . . For sensitive skin. . . .? I used to have acne prone skin so I’m scared to over use this. I also use the exfoliate but not everyday cause it tried up my skin so I use it a week every month
Love these type of “brand” videos. Would love to hear your thoughts/favorites on Sunday Riley skincare - as well as It Cosmetics, Mario Badescu, Tatcha, Dr. Dense, Tula, Mary Kay, Rodan + Fields, etc… Would also love to know your other beauty favorites - lash and hair? teeth? makeup?
Maren - I love your videos - I appreciate getting the actual facts and science behind products! I live in Canada and we are patiently awaiting the arrival of Paula's Choice! I purchased the BHA for my daughter and myself. Game changer! Happy New Year!💙
They do but caution the prices on the website are in American currency. To purchase in Canada you are looking at about a 30% increase on the purchase price. I have been using them for years but it is getting very costly.
I mean it's not cheap but I think Paula's Choice gives you a lot for what you're paying. Their super antioxidant serum has every antioxidant you need and it costs the same as most serums with just vitamin c
Lol how many videos has she done about products that are actually budged friendly and you choose to come and complain and point out the obvious. Thanks captain obvious!!!
I'm using the Calm 1% BHA on my sensitive Rosacea skin and it's fine. Might be good to start slowly with this and work up. I just started using it, so only once per week, then twice per week, etc.
