I'm been rehabbing from surgery and came across Dr Stelios Kiosses work with hoarders. His therapeutic diagnosis, cutting edge treatment methods are amazing. I have a sister-in-law that's a hoarder, OCD and it's out of control every room crammed and you only have paths to walk thru. Thank you Dr Kiosses for insight.
I enjoyed this one. Yes, Adam needs to get control of his stash. Nonetheless, many of these "hoarder" videos are falling-down houses, food waste and vermin. Adam can certainly get organized! I really relate to Madge. As an artist I have a studio full of supplies I need to manage better. It includes both finished pieces and materials for future projects. I hope vendors and customer will appreciate her pots.
Nice one...very interesting and it helps me to clean and clear out things not needed so much in my life...happy for the 2 that they retrieve their home again
Sometimes relations can be lazy too and it is an effort to take things to an op-shop so sometimes they say " Hey can U take these to the op-shop for me?" People need to get rid of their own goods.
I have to ask others due to being disabled with no car. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone lol. So I give away things to people that need them for now.
I would have advised her to keep the vitrine cabinet and replace the broken glass. Large, yes, yet still it's a terrific storage and replacing it with a couple of smaller pieces could have the room feel less spacious.
I have tons of my grandmother's and my great grandmother's costume jewelry. I've always tried to find a proper buyer as many of them are in mint condition, but resell stores or flea markets rip you off. Just like my stamps my great grandpa passed down from and before WW1, art pieces, Blue Mountain pottery, espresso cups and saucers my grandfather sent my gran from over sees during the war. Expensive gravy boats etc.. Wish I could have this guy look at my stuff! But I'm in Canada. I've contacted art galleries and stuff to see if they will appraise them for insurance but they won't. They just keep asking me to donate my items to them. Sigh
I have seen quite a few of the American shows-- extreme hoarders. They come in with huge trucks/crews. Home owners don't do nearly as much of the actual work as it so overwhelming and done in 3 days. I think it's better for the homeowners to do the work themselves if possible. Maybe they learn more?
It's not about romanticism for most people. It's history. Just because people collect historical German items doesn't mean they are a supporter of his at all. What disgusts me is that racist people collect that stuff..even worse, they buy items that were taken from humans before being gased or killed. Like eye glasses, skin made things(lamps etc) even teeth :(
Living in the US here. I’d love to move to the UK. Ppl there just seem so kind and well spoken. I think I’d just love it there. I’ve never been but I’m hoping one day. 😊
