I've worked with kids with this disorder. The therapists at the mental health facility I worked at had never heard of ARFID. I had to send them articles about it. I was like "Hey, this kid is getting so upset that they are self-harming at the idea of eating anything other than grilled cheese. It's not just picky eating!" I always did my best to advocate for all the kids I worked with and would do my best to try to understand where they were coming from, even when the rest of the staff were complaining about a kid "just being difficult". It broke my heart to see kids who were clearly suffering with something that other people just didn't understand.
Now imagine all the people Anyang wish would seek his forgiveness. The man didn't become that vicious because it's his nature. He must likely went through the same torture he was dishing out.
While I'm glad that mental health is taken more seriously nowadays, it's truly sad that human beings were treated this way. Back in those days, asylums were pretty much just places to dump off these people because they didn't wanna deal with them. As someone who has aspberger syndrome along with anxiety disorder, my heart aches for the people who had to go through this harsh treatment. Despite my disabilities, I'm still fully able to take care of myself and am doing very well. I'm married to a wonderful woman who is the love of my life. I'm able to work normal jobs just like anyone else. Sure some people are real bad off mentally, but they're still human beings. I'm just thankful that most places like pennhurst are no longer in operation. Asylums were literally hellholes.

off topic but in the uk why do they teeth always be hella caked up and crooked , do they not teach dental hygiene in schools . but its sad just because someone is mentally challenged it dont mean they gotta get sent to a new place just cause they more challenged. they be the nicest ppl ever. she forgave her father for tryna kill her . the fact yall even think sending them away is gonna help you go there then come back and lmk this place is way better than the other ones i seen . this one treated them like humans.the other ones are so sad looking ppl yelling ughi wish all the places were this good..
That Barbie doll deal was just a set up. A serious collector would have their dolls in original packaging, as pristine as possible or at least in original outfit. How do you expect people to pay £15 for a raggedy doll with just a random skirt on?

I see also advantages for psychopaths themselves using microchips. The chance to end up in prison or have a life of in and out of prison is lower and getting and enhancing meaningful relationships increases. It’s basically like giving a blind or deaf person a microchip so they can see or hear. If used in a moral way with the well-being of the psychopath himself in mind it can also for them become a solution.
