Thanks man! The SP is a great little compressor. Would love to try the Origin Effects Cali 76 at some point, but the SP cant be beat for the price and size. I recently adjusted the internal dip switches to increase the attack time and now it's even better!

I have a danelectro coolcat from the 90s and it has the exact same chip as that old boss chorus. Most people don't know that. Also I have the exacT Same interface! I'm using it as the home base of my barn recording studio. Great video.

Great set up Seán, did you find a big difference between the Scarlett/clarett pres and a/d converter? Have been using audient for a while but looking to upgrade to an 8 channel interface. Happy new year!

Hey Emily! Happy New Year to you too, hope all is well! I think the preamps in the Clarett are definitely superior to my 1st gen Scarlett. Less noise, and the Air mode is very nice on vocals and guitars! The A/D is perhaps less noticeable right away, but the effects are cumulative when recording multiple tracks over a full production. The Clarett converters are highly regarded for the price which is one of the reasons I picked it up a few years back.

@@seanmurrayguitar nice swan 🦢 cheers for that Seán! There's one in the post, I was trying to find a way around it by using a Behringer pre bank over ADAT, but since the interface I had only had adat in, I had to use the pre bank as the clock and it was just a mess.

Hi Sean! Just want to ask about your 1st Gen Focusrite 18i20! I'm thinking of buying one since it's a lot cheaper than the newer ones and they do pretty much the same thing. How has yours fared? Is there anything in the later models that you'd want in this one?

Hey Tim! As far as I know, the gain structure and the drivers are greatly improved on the newer models. The 1st Gen Scarlett interfaces are quite a few years old now so I would aim for a newer unit if possible!

I wasn't using them as much as I thought I would so I moved them on! I'm looking at building a small 500-series chain for my next analogue adventure - perhaps with a Cranborne Audio unit so that it can used via ADAT with an interface, both in tracking and mixing!

Lumix G9 with a stock 14-42mm Panasonic lens. I just upgraded to a sigma 16mm 1.4 lens this week! Thanks for watching!

Do u have any suggestions for an audio interface that is affordable, also do u know any cheaper alternatives to helix 6?

Hey Dominic! The Focusrite Scarlett interfaces are great value and I've used them for years! I don't have much experience with many other modelers, but the HX Stomp is the cheapest entry point to the Helix world. It's got all of the amps and effects from the full Helix, and it can also be used as a USB audio interface to record your guitar directly into your computer! Very cool.
