Great looking room. Love seeing how far youve come over the years, it gives me inspiration to one day have something like this when I finally own a home. I also really need to make the 40 minute drive to Audio Advice and check out that $300,000 theater room, wow!
Thank you! Definitely make the drive to Audio Advice. The staff was super welcoming and I was the only one in the room (it was early) enjoying all their demos :-)
@@KevisFilms awesome thank you! I’d like to see start to finish, any additional equipment/programs (if needed), before/after graphs of time alignment would be cool and personal takeaways/benefits and whether it made just the main listening position better/all seats/or some seats more than others. I know it’s a lot but this isn’t well covered and I believe it to be the future go-to for tuning. So to have someone break it down into something more digestible would put you on the map. Thanks again sir!
For a 5.1 I would do the following SVS package (all available from Amazon): Prime Center Speaker @ $400, (4) SVS Prime Satellite Speakers @ $350 a pair, SB-1000 Pro Sealed Subwoofer @ $600, and for the receiver I would go with a Denon X1800H 7.2 AVR @ $550. Grand total of $2,250 plus tax. You could eventually add 2 more speakers and make it a 5.1.2 Atmos. There are more economical 'true' in-a-box solutions, but you will be missing on having a decent subwoofer. Also, you would need to add 14-gauge speaker cables and RCA cable for the sub. How big of a room would you be using for your home theater? Depending on size, you might look a getting more efficient speakers such as Klipsch.
Thank you! Too many to name but I’ll try :-) The Dark Knight trilogy, The Usual Suspects, Speed, The Six Sense, Mystic River, and many more. How about you, what are your favorite movies?
Man your original setup was almost identical to what I have now 😂. Sounds good to my not knowing any better ears. Polk T-series towers, bookshelf and center with Bose cubes as height speakers running off a Sony receiver.
Thank you for watching! What are some demos you enjoy watching in your theater? I still have my Polk center speaker in a small set up I have in the basement.
Nice setup! I had all Klipsch for a long time with a cheap 1080p projector. Family movie night was the absolute best. Love the speakers behind the screen, I would have loved to gotten that far. Are you planning on an equipment rack eventually?
Thank you! I love family movie time! Popcorn, a snack and a drink! Maybe a rack way down the line. I like that the receiver gets plenty of air in the open.
Always admire people who are willing to get their hands dirty. As well as a sense of achievement, one will also feel immense pride. And BTW, on this occasion, rightly so too! Yes, I would imagine when it comes to the sonic abilities between yours and audio's advice 300k set up one might not interpret the sound has being hugely different. However, when pressing pause or mute, the noise floor within itself should become apparent, and I don't just mean from the components neither. In my experience, some of the biggest culprits for producing noise are actually unshielded cables. The better the quality of shielding the quieter the room shall become.
I enjoy watching the video clip the cinema room you have now it must sound great watching movies. I have Krix speakers set up 5.1 and they sound amazing to watch movies on 65 inch TV and KRIX are Australian made..
@gary4593 thank you for watching! We definitely enjoy the cinema room. I watched WALL·E with my 3 boys today and it sounded fantastic! Which Krix speakers do you own? Maybe really someday I’ll get some more to replace my ceiling speakers.
