Just wait till he brings too large a battery on the plane and either gets caught or something bad happens and he’s slapped with a lawsuit and has to pay all damages because he was too stupid to follow the rules.
I think a large part of the reason he didn’t get checked was because he went through TSA Pre-Check, which is a paid service intended to give you a more lax time through security. I was once in TSA Pre-Check due to a trial, and I had a Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck (both in their respective cases), a tablet, and Laptop, which were then all packed in the same backpack along with a maximum size powerbank and a bunch of chargers. Normally, they ask me to take out each device, but through TSA Pre-Check they just scan the whole backpack with everything in it, they also don’t require taking off shoes in that line. Some airports just have the better scanner available to everyone. Though, his battery was definitely past the limit, and should’ve been checked regardless, but they’ve always been iffy on the rules anyway.
Usain Bolt's top speed in his world record run apparently was 27.3 mph Preston or Scot or Scoot's top speed was 29 mph and it took him 20 seconds ok, at 1:23 they say the distance is 40% of a track, which is 0.4 * 400m, so 160m If you take Usain Bolt's fastest time of 9.58 seconds for 100m, and multiply it by 1.6. Then you get 15.36
@@mandellorian790 Good point, whats the speed of the travel belts lol, and there would have to be no one on them. He should have done it in the middle of night, less people. That might be what the record holder did.
according to the info at 10:24, Strava says that the record holder was going one mile in 2 minutes and 10 seconds, that works out to be 27.69 miles per hour, or 44.31 km/h (on average for 13 seconds!). That is faster then the fastest runners today, so there must be something fishy going on. My guess is GPS error, GPS often jumps around when you start recording a route, and it also magnifies because GPS is not as good indoors.
Usain Bolt’s top end speed was 27.33 mph or 43.99 kph. I assume he only briefly reached that speed because no one is averaging that fast for the duration of the track. Edit: I went back for strava stats and the winner 100% did not do it on foot. “2:10 /mi 13s”. 2:10 mile is an average pace faster than the human speed record which was only momentarily reached in the middle of the 9.58 second 100m dash wr. I wonder what mechanical vehicle the winner used? I’ve used strava before and wonder if it was just a mistake with the gps or if perhaps he just made the phone travel the route on it’s own or what?
@@wutschkorammo5 Also highly unlikely I think. The avg moving walkway at airports is 1.4 mph. They don’t look particularly fast in the video, but even if they were moving twice as fast at 3mph, that pace of 2:10/27.69 mph - 3mph would be roughly equivalent to a 100 meter time of 10.46 seconds. I wasted too much time already, but found his strava profile which was private, but using that photo as evidence (still the same pfp in the video), I found an insta post about a half marathon run in Jan 2023 in 1:38/7:30 per mile. I know that distances are very different, but I have a similar pb and there’s no way I’d be close to that sprint speed. Almost no one is that fast outside of like nationally ranked high school sprinters or D1 college athletes. He definitely doesn’t have the build of a sprinter either. I know this is all guesswork, but just saying highly unlikely done on foot. I think that’s enough creeping for the day lol, but it’s not hard to search a name online in today’s world.
I worked for TSA almost ten years ago and the Scootcase should have definitely been checked, unless because large lithium batteries have become so common that they have new operating procedures? And me and my buddies would have created a lane for you if we worked at that airport! 👍🏻🍾
@@Revolzerlol Are you fucken kidding me right now. Did you just thank TSA for his service??? For what??? They literally have an 80% rate of missing things. Besides making everyone’s traveling complete hell for no reason, wtf service do you think they’ve provided?
Yeah bc of vapes and lithium powered electronics I'm pretty sure protocol is that they must be carry-on now. I know I'm not allowed to check my vape or any spare 18650 batteries. It's supposed to protect against an unchecked lithium fire in the baggage hold due to the rare chance of spontaneous combustion.
For real though, I’m really glad he ran from security because those guys are an absolute buzzkill and Preston could have gotten in some serious trouble. Innovation, fun, entertainment all in one beautiful video
i enjoy the content but i cant help but feel bad for the security just trying to do their job when a hazardous man is going 30mph in a crowded walk way. they could get in trouble for that happening as well.
Dude the way you used storytelling at the end there, sharing about how to run from TSA, that was marvelous. It was the golden part of the video. A perfect finishing to the hooks and teasers you created with the 3 goals. 👌
I am 41. I have been watching RU-vid since they started up. I am subscribed to innumerable content creators. I watch everything. This is the first time in all that time, since the beginning until now, that I have ever clicked the notification bell. For whatever that's worth.
Awesome dude! I'm really rooting for you guys. Also, I do art and stuff if you need something like a logo. Though you seem to have that handled. #scootcase @@prestongoes
Every time I've flown, they've specifically said motorized suitcases, ride-on suitcases (and similar) are prohibited. Plus they've imposed a pretty limiting restriction on the size of batteries you can carry. I'm amazed you got that thing through.
That fact that you had something that from a security perspective looks just like a bomb inside that suitcase and didn’t get stopped makes me honestly a little more fearful to fly in the future 🤣
Oh this is gold! I mean... we put thinkTank wheels on the front, bigger battery, extra stickers and you're gonna break more records (or more somethings) ...and thanks for using our backpack btw! that was brilliant.
@@maxyb35 full on sprinting even if you are Usain Bolt in his world record pace isn't fast enough alone Usain Bolt's word record speed would do 160m in 15.36 seconds
The way you put so much effort into making original songs as well as these insane builds puts a smile on my face. I cant belive I didnt know about your channel before!
Dude, seriously, so well done. That video truly inspired my RU-vid dream. The storytelling, flow, and excitement, was amazing. Looking forward to what you do next!!! 🤟🏼
This video was so entertaining. You've almost immediately become one of my top 10 RU-vidrs. The music, the concept, the editing - it's all just great. Keep it up.
you should put the battery on the exterior and maybe instead of one big battery, have 2 smaller ones and that can be removable (so it can still be used as a suitcase, which is the main purpose)
The responsible adult in me says "Good gracious! Doesn't anyone care about rules and the safety of others? " But the inner rebel screams out "MOVE! GET OUT THE WAY!! I got no time for you or those hired thugs in suits!! I got a record to make and I'm not talking about a criminal one!!" 😂👍🇺🇸💪
I just started watching u like today (srry), but i like how you still keep on trying and trying no matter what, your a great inspiration to me and i like how u make stuff into songs. Edit: u earned a sub!
I’ve recently found your channel when you did the aqua jet pack video. I’ve watched and loved a ton of your videos since! Awesome videos! Keep up the great work!
Gotta say - just recently discovered your channel from the first rail cart vid and after diving through your channel, you have become one of my new favorite creators on RU-vid. Video ideas, content, music, personality - all of it. You're a vibe and it matches mine. Wish we could be friends lol Keep it up!
Dude you were COOKIN'. Your sleeves were flapping from cutting through the air, holy crap that was awesome. Smashed SUBSCRIBE. And btw. Your rail cart needs those conical wheels.
Preston, another masterpiece. You are a master a video making, good storytelling and are genuinely funny. I am a professional video maker myself and can really say that you are master in storybuilding and I wish I will be on your level one day. However, I do think you can still improve hugely on your thumbnails and titles. That’s for me the only reason that you didn’t completely blow up yet. Most of them are quite ok, just not on the level yet of your videos. Not to be negative, I would love to see you grow big and get more opportunities to do even more crazy stuff.
Bro, you are the best! Love watching your videos. Started with will the boat float, forgot to subscribe, it got stuck in my head for weeks, found you again last night and now we are subscribed 🎉
If you attempt again with MORE engines, do your flight at night on a weekday. The gate should be pretty empty. Then of course, you need to also do it on the moving walkway. The records must have been set using the moving walkways.
I'm guessing some combination of being amazing athletes, and probably running on the moving sidewalk? (It'd have to be late at night when there's not much traffic.)
Not shocked. I was flying out of Chicago a few years back and they let the guy ahead of me through with huge switchblade knives. Myself and the lady behind me were like, "you can't let that guy through with those!" They finally relented and made him check the knives. But they weren't going to stop him if we didn't say something.
Idk if you realize this, but this video could be used to get investors and market this as an actual product. You’ve shown it can clear TSA and fit in an overhead compartment. With a little more tweaking you could have a solid product on your hands
