The so so-called Arab sound in the park is the Uyghur song and music. Your European countries claimed that China had totally destroyed and totally ge**cide the Uyghur people, culture, traditions and their religion in China. Even Ursula Von Der Leyen used to say that.
China welcome you 🎉When you go to the ShangHai you should eat "xie huang bao",it's realy realy good; And when you go tou the BeiJing you should eat "ma la xiao long xia" in "Guijie" street, thank you for you like my country,Bro😊
First of all, welcome to China. I live in Hong Kong, but I have been traveling to China frequently since 30 years ago. To be honest, like you, China was very bad, backward, dirty, and had poor public security more than 30 years ago. But in a short time More than 30 years later, I have witnessed the changes in China with my own eyes. Some cities in China are now more modern than Hong Kong. Thank you for experiencing the real side of China and letting more foreign citizens know more about China today.👍😀😀
As a Hong Konger who started traveling to China in 80s... I don't agree with your "China was very bad, backward, dirty...30 years ago." comment. It is true it wasn't that good before and many places were backward, but your comment is an overstatement and was more appropriate for places like India
Exactly! That’s why I am coming back in September to visit the two major cities of the country, and than I’ll come back next year again to explore other parts! 🫶😍🇨🇳
@@oliverdademaExcept for these big cities, China also has various extremely beautiful landscapes. You can see these wonderful view in Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan, Qinghai, etc. in China. These provincial-level regions may do not have particularly large cities, but these are good place to better embrace nature. You are welcomed to come to China again.❤🎉
I will also be in China in September. I'll been planning this trip for quite a while now, so I've watched a lot of videos from travelers like yourself just to educate and prepare myself, and let me tell you, your videos were fantastic. So you have another subscriber. Thank you for sharing your experience.
@@oliverdadema Well, I will start with two days in Shanghai, then I'll take the bullet train to Hangzhou for two days and finally four days in Beijing. Unfortunately I have to go back home to Athens since I only have two weeks off work, but I honestly think that I'm going to like China soooo much, that I've decided to spend many of my summer holidays there, so hopefully I'll go back next year (If God wants) to see more of this amazing country.😉 A few days ago the Chinese Embassy in Athens issued an announcement, that they will issue 5-year multiple entry visas to eligible GR citizens, for business, tourism and family visit purposes. I will apply for my visa next Thursday, so ... wish me luck!!!!😊
you made very good decision for the first trip. Just make sure you have wechat, alipay, esim ready, for back up it's also worth to get an additional Chinese sim with Chinese number, a lot of apps work only with Chinese numbers, such as delivery apps (you can order delivery at any time). Wechat is good because when you add someone on the app, the app can translate the language for you. Hangzhou is the most beautiful city in China imo. it's worth staying a week even, there are so much to see and just enjoy the nature. It's the only mega metropolitan I saw in the world that is completely part of mountains and lakes. Make sure you stay somewhere within walking distance to West lake. Greece culture I think is quite similar to Chinese, you will definitely enjoy yourself.
@@isoldel9313 Thank you very much for the suggestions. I have already set up Allipay, Wechat as well as some metro maps apps for all three cities, and I'm learning how to use those. On Wechat I'm already following some official sites, such as The Palace Museum. I agree about Hantzhou. That city was on my bucket list since I've read Marco Polo's book many years ago. He wrote "Hangzhou is the most beautiful city in the world" so who am I to say otherwise !! 😋Greek and Chinese cultures are indeed very similar, probably due to the fact that they are two of the oldest on the planet, and both "family" oriented, peaceful and highly respecting our ancestors.
they are not Arab music & dance , they are Uyghurs , apparently there is big number of Muslim and specially Uyghurs & Hui Muslim populations in Shenzhen !
@@oliverdadema In every major city in China, there are Muslim communities. In Shenzhen, they are concentrated around the East Gate area, while in Beijing they live around Niu Jie. In Shanghai, many Muslim restaurants have opened along Guangzhou Road. Uyghur culture and cuisine are very popular in China, especially in Shanghai and Shenzhen, which are both immigrant cities. Historically, many Shanghai locals lived and worked in Xinjiang when they were younger. After retiring and moving back to Shanghai, these older individuals often miss their time in Xinjiang and continue to dance with Uyghurs on the streets of Shanghai and Shenzhen. You can find them in every park.
@@oliverdademaPeople are free to wear clothes. Muslim women don't wear headscarves at ordinary times. They wear headscarves at festivals and important events. in China
Just came back from my 13 days trip to China. My experienced is that restaurant in big cities accept my American cards to pay for our family dinner. I use Alipay mostly for street foods, this is convenient.
China has made a lot of improvements since your last visit to make foreign visitors to have a better experience. A lot more places accept foreign major credit cards. Accepting cash is mandatory. Short-term SIM cards are available at airport that gives you both Chinese phone # and data plan. Very affordable. All hotels must accept foreigners, etc.
Re-visiting China is definitely a right decision if you like it. You did a really amazing China travel series but that's literally like only 3-4% of China you have seen & experienced. Weclome to China!
Yes!! And next time, I will be making more interesting videos, because I am gonna plan my whole trip and gonna try my best to experience the REAL China to show it to the world 🇨🇳🫶😍
The weather in Beijing and Shanghai will be very hot in August, and there will be a lot of people coming to these two cities, so be prepared. Welcome! - from China.😎
Thank you for your fair introduction to my country. We don't need praise. We just need a fair and objective evaluation. Of course, there are still many deficiencies in our country that need to be improved!
FYI, e-commerce is huge in China, every Chinese order tons to things online and get them delivered to home or business. That's why you see so many "delivery scooters" on the streets of China.
Happy young man: Be brave enough to explore the wonderful and beautiful China. Chinese culture is extensive and profound. Have a pleasant journey!Good luck! 🙏♥️
@@oliverdademaI’m Chinese living in Canada. My husband is a French Canadian who used to work in China. We just visited Dali in July. Dali ancient town was very loud and commercial to us. We went to the ancient town in Shaxi and Jianchuan. They are so beautiful and spectacular. Not to mention the beautiful temperature of 20 degrees. Totally worth visiting!
Welcome back to China🎉 & excited for you! Really need someone like you to show the truth to the world about China that the western media lies about, thank you.
waiting for the next China videos. thanks for these guides, Oliver. but i hope you do get to take enough rest. your itinerary sometimes gets me tired ahahhaa but yeah, you do you, and keep safe during travels :)
I assume if you visit Beijing, you will go to the Great Wall. Pls avoid Badaling, or even Mutianyu. Try some less visited wilder sections, such as Jinshanling or Simatai (as a part of Gubei Water Town). Of course it takes more time to get there but you'll be rewarded.
Happy to hear that you are going back to China 🇨🇳 soon, your previous Vlog was too short because you were there only 1 day. Looking forward to see your new travel adventures. I am going to China next year April- May. I am sure I will be getting interesting tips & useful information from your travels.
Other cities worth visiting together with Shanghai and Beijing may include Hangzhou and Nanjing. Another advice is to spend more time in Beijing. This city is more like China than Shanghai.
@@oliverdadema oh if you want to visit some really small hidden gems, consider “Zhouzhuang” or “Wuzhen”, both famous ancient water towns very popular with Chinese people. And “Zhuge Eight-Diagrams village”, very cultural ancient village. Hope you have time to do something unique on your way from SH to BJ. Best of luck!
With that length of time you might want to visit at least one other city, for example Xi'an, Chengdu or Chongqing. Within China, using the high speed railway system instead of flying would let to see the countryside between the cities.
We’re gonna take the high speed train from Shanghai to Beijing, which is gonna be amazing!! I wanted to do Xi’An as well, but since we only get a 15-day visa, it might be too much. BUT, I will be back to China to visit more places like Chengdu, Chongqing, Dali, Xi’An and many more 🫶🙏🏼🇨🇳
@@oliverdademamaybe you should invest in getting a multiple entry visitor visa for China so you can stay longer duration each time. My husband got a 10 year multi entry china visa.
@@oliverdademaok~I can tell you already familiar with some Chinese cities. But in my opinion you can also check out some smaller cities, they will surprise you ❤
I know!!! If my China Series 2 will take off as I expect, I will be back in China in the beginning of next year, visiting Chongqing for SURE!! Thanks for watching 😍🇨🇳🫶
Hi Bro, I live in Shenzhen, I think Beijing and Shanghai are simiilar to Shenzhen. it's better to visit the rural area instead of city. keep in mind we are in summer holiday, Both Beijing and Shanghai are pretty hot. it's better to viist Yunan province, it's not hot and the natural scenery is amazing. you won't regret it.
@@kevinaa114 Buildings in BJ and SH are very ugly, even Hangzhou and Nanjiang and Suzhou are more beautiful than them, Yangshou and Zhangjiajie are 10000times more beautiful than these two cities
Great experience in China! Visiting Chongqing and Chengdu was so much fun, and there's so much delicious food there. I want to hear more about your discoveries in China!
The cameras you see serve a variety of purposes. Many road cameras are used for traffic management, capturing violations like running red lights and monitoring traffic flow to optimize traffic light durations, allowing more vehicles to pass during peak hours. On the mountains, cameras are vital for wildfire prevention, helping firefighters quickly locate and extinguish fires. Additionally, some cameras are used for wildlife monitoring and nature conservation.
Very informative. One note about the case u lost battery most of the large restaurants and shopping malls can rent out the charging portable battery and once you are done, find a returnable location and pay then u are fully ready to go🎉
I am a studier for Ielts, thought your prounciation is so stanard that I really want to ask where you from. Are you a real person who comes from UK as your prounciation is so well. Your prounciation of English is more standard than I'ever seen so many people speak English.I can't hear clearly what's the mean of them but I could understand you.
@@elauneintunkhanein8727 Odd, every time I travel to China, I have to pass through Hong Kong Customs to exit, then show my travel documents on the other side of the concourse to enter China. And I need to use Reminbi in China & Hong Kong dollars while at home. Try it yourself sometime. Start in Hong Kong, and try to enter China without a visa-stamped passport, or a valid China Travel Permit. I don't disparage my friends, neighbours and family who live there. Your comment seems to be somewhat ill-informed.
@@elauneintunkhanein8727 Are you Chinese? I don't comment in an effort to disparage anyone. When I travel to China from Hong Kong, it's necessary to clear departure customs for HK, and on the other side of the bridge, to present valid travel documents (visa-stamped passport, China Travel Permit) for approval by China Customs. I pay with Reminbi in China, and Hong Kong dollars in HK. It's convenient & uncomplicated. Hats off to hard-working people in Customs who process an astronomical number of visitors every day.
Welcome to Harbin, Nanjing, Xinjiang, Xi'an, Yunnan, Guizhou, Beijing, and Chongqing! There are rich natural and historical landscapes, museums (and of course, technology) here. Don't always go to modern big cities like Shanghai and Shenzhen
I would LOVE to visit all of them, but there is not enough time now. I have to come back multiple times to visit all parts of China. But in September I am going to Shanghai and Beijing to make new travel vlogs!! Stay tuned! 🫶🇨🇳😍
talk about that Alipay. last time i was also shocked that many stores can use facial scan or hand scan to process the payment instead of use mobile😮but I think it's not working with foreigners😅
Wow….the last time I was in China (Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai) was 2002. It was DABEST trip of my life. I will revisit China again and hopefully visiting Chengdu, Chonqin, and Guilin!!!!! Have fun man!
I strongly recommend you come and visit HangZhou and Nanjing. Hangzhou has many sceneries of poetic and also has the best e-commerce.Nanjing is a city with a long history 😊BTW,this two cities are both nearby Shanghai. So,probably you can put them on your tour list😍🥰
One positive thing of China vs Europe is many free public toilet to use in China. In Europe, toilet usually cost 1 or 2 Euro each time and toilet can be difficult to find. Sometimes you need buy food in restaurant to use toilet there.
Oliver, China is a big big country, a lot of places are Worth for you to travel, you shall make a list, every time travel 2 or 3 difference places, you will be enjoy it.
And, if the smartphone battery runs out on every corner, in shopping malls, everywhere you find available batteries that you pick up in one place, charge your phone and return it to the next tower when it is fully charged. Like bikes. You pick it up and you don't have to take it back to the place of origin
You’re righttttttt!!!! It’s on my list, but for my 3rd China Travel. For now, it’s gonna be Shanghai, Beijing and some surrounding cities like Suzhou, Hangzhou and Tianjin! 🫶🇨🇳
I think Chongqing is a really cool city to visit. By the way, it is really hot in Shanghai and Beijing in August. Recommend to visit Yunnan province in Summer. For the Great Wall, recommend to visit Mutianyu instead of Badaling. Have fun in China!
I’ve lived in China for almost 8 years! It was amazing, people are friendly and helpful, cities are modern, transportation is top, super safe and so many types of delicious cuisine. I was never bored there! Miss it so much! 🇨🇳🥲
the capital cities are all well developed and modern, many of the suburbs are still underdeveloped, but saftey is garanteed irrespective of where you are travelling in china
