As a person not living in India or China, based on my observations on various media, it is the peoples in India who like to compare India with China. Frankly, India is not in the same league with China.
Quite right, actually it's wierd to see a foreigner comparing China and India from a Chinese perception, I can understand comparasion from China with east or southeast Asia, but with India, it's not commmon in my mind. So I think the question should be from an Indian. We hope India a good luck。
I think both Indians and Koreans have a strange mentality, a bit of a bit of arrogance and not facing up to their own problems. If they can be humble, maybe they will develop.

India and China are two good examples of their two different political systems. The hard truth is that if China had chosen the same path as India did in the 1940s, the US would not have to worry about China today... China just showed how far and how quickly you can go with a nationwide, century-long considerate planning and teamwork.

Most people just dont get it. You think China is already at the peak of its development? China's development pace is getting faster and faster, India will never be able to catch up regardless of how much time into the future. At this rate, by the time India catches up of what is China today, they would be probably more than 100 years behind China at that time.

I am quite old and have witnessed the entire development of China. China achieved what it has today because several generations genuinely recognized their shortcomings and learned from the West with a very humble attitude. Even today, if you point out areas where China hasn't done well, many Chinese people will agree with you and commend you, as many still lack confidence. However, Indians are too proud, and this is actually detrimental to India.

I am Chinese and have lived and worked in Germany and France for over ten years. Most parts of China are no longer inferior to Europe, and the service in China is better. The laziness and irresponsibility of Europeans can be quite shocking. What I find most remarkable is that China's development is relatively even. There isn't a significant difference between a city with a population of 20 million and one with a population of 2 million. This is very difficult for such a large country with a population of 1.4 billion. Unlike Europe, where many places feel like they belong to another world. As for India, I have never been there, so I can't comment on it. As for ideologies like freedom and democracy, those are toys for politicians. As an ordinary citizen, you don't really feel any difference in daily life. In Europe, I don't feel particularly free; in fact, I often don't dare to go out at night. In China, I don't feel a lack of freedom either, and no one disturbs my life. When the government makes mistakes or when there is unfairness and corruption, it still becomes headline news.
I am Australian Chinese left China 38 years ago, there were beggars everyone in London, felt unsafe in Birmingham England, Unsafe in Paris, and Barcelona, street in Rome is Ok as its packed with people, most European country felt like third world country with many foreign workers from SE Asia and Africa.
As a Chinese currently living in Netherlands, I don't think people are lazy here, but Chinese people are overly hardworking comparing to most European nations.
The Chinese have never regarded India as a rival. In fact, the Chinese always compare themselves with the strongest aspects of other countries and regions in the world. For example, they compare artificial intelligence, scientific research, education, and military affairs with the United States; compare electronics and semiconductor with Japan; compare LNG ships with South Korea; compare automobiles with Germany; compare aircraft and nuclear power with France; compare chip manufacturing with Taiwan; and compare city governance with Singapore.

India is one level below China to be honest. Not 50 years but 40 years back they were same and in 1984 after Deng Reforms China climbed up steeply. What China faced in 80s is what India faces currently in 2024. India has just started to climb. Watch Ken's video properly, at the beginning he clearly mentioned that while India is certainly behind China but the economy of India is growing fast and maybe India will become very decent in 25-30 years. Moreover Ken said he will visit India again and show the other parts and he truly liked the country.
when china's gdp was behind the uk in 2005, many people in china never felt super confident and brag about their country despite being like in the top 5 economies back then. people genuinely felt like they need to improve and learn more from others. India's GDP has now surpassed Japan as No.4 but what I find funny and ironic about your comment is, here you are bragging about it yet telling you don't get it when Indians are doing it. The fact is most from China and India aren't even bothered about it like you seem to be.
@@RajeshRavindranathan @RajeshRavindranathan no, i'm not bragging about it, im just stating the truth. many chinese people only started to realise that china is growing strong starting from around 2016, and that is when china's gdp is already at second place, and more than twice of japan's gdp. before that, chinese people were often pessimistic about the country. but i only see indians blindly being overconfident, and how will india improve if many of them dont even know the reality?

Actually, Ken was not the first to raise hygiene, chaos, and safety issues in India, and I don't understand why there are so many negative comments. I have also watched many travel videos about India, and there are basically similar situations. Why can't they just face these problems and think about how to change them? If it's really done so well, why is what I saw in the video different from what you said? @@ivak4802 Yes, India is number one in the world, except South Korea which can be compared to you, but please don't pull information about China that you don't really know while elaborating on India, we don't need your comparisons, your praise, and what we don't need is your boring criticisms.
@@cardifffarrah What I’ve written are facts and what you’re talking is complete bullsh*t. I was responding to the original author of the comment, why are you interfering? And who gave you the authority to speak about my country if I don’t have the same privilege? If you can’t digest facts then that’s not my problem.
I am Chinese. Just a friendly advice to our Indian friends. It is understandable to have the desire to have foreigners feel good about your country. Because it makes you feel proud. Especially, for the citizens of countries like India and China etc. who were bullied and exploited in the recent history, and once were a great power. People want to prove that the time has changed, the table has turned. But my Indian friends, it is commendable that India obviously has developed. However, it is still far away from any type "super power". Instead of trying to comparing with other countries, ask yourself what you can do to make this country greater. Lastly, if it makes those Indians, who are obsessed with comparing with China, feel better, I admit, India is unbeatable.
I’m Chinese and I had a ten days trip to India in 2019, I went to the north part of India, Delhi Agra Varanasi Jaipur Udaipur. I really enjoyed my trip there despite the outside temperature was over 40 degrees in May. India has long history which left magnificent architecture to the country. Most of people I met there are very friendly, and I like the Indian cuisines (but I had meals only in the hotels or proper restaurants). To be honest, the hygiene could be improved in some public areas, but overall, I still think it’s a good destination to be visited, and for sure I’ll have my second trip to India if I have any chance. And plz don’t compare India with China, yes we are all developing countries with vast populations and long history, but each country has its unique culture background and way of development, there’s no need to make a comparison. Wish both of us becomes better and better and welcome more Indians to visit China.
Im ndia what are are u saying 😂😂😂😂 india is shit ugly, china is sooooooo much better Many Chinese don't like ameirca but like india when ameirca is wayyy more developed than india
I apologize to you for a person named "Cannoli_JJ" in the comment section. She made a lot of inappropriate remarks and attacked everyone she saw. Her behavior was to smear China. @@JasonChen-og7wk I'm so sorry about this, and I'm also ashamed of her behaviour. I think she just wanted to smear China on purpose. She may not be a real Chinese.
Loved your honest take on India! I've visited as well, and I totally get what you mean about it being an experience rather than a typical holiday-it’s definitely not for everyone. The contrasts between the cities and the warmth of the locals are spot on.
As an Indian and currently living in Germany, to be honest I can definitely say that India is way behind than West, China or even its other Asian counterparts like Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. After watching so many videos on Chinese cities, I can say that their infrastructure is just on another level, I mean they are just living in some future (Sci-Fi type) cities. Even Western countries like Germany, France, UK, US, etc are behind than China in terms of infrastructure. At the end, I can only say that India is a nice country to visit and is a culturally rich country and has so much to offer but there is barely any good infrastructure except less than 1% of places like Gurgaon's Cyberhub, Delhi's Aerocity, Mumbai's BKC, etc.
your right dude, some projects are actually coming up in india now infrastructure related even some airports but you may have not heard of them, but still india has a long way to go
Chinese: We are neither interested nor compare ourselves with India. Also Chinese: with full Attendance in every India related Video with India this India that..blah..blah.. blah..
Indians: Chinese are in every way inferior to us Also Indians: We will forever be a superpower in 30 years time since last time. We will crush Chinese economy soon. We will these we will that to Chinese blah blah blah.
EMMMM, some people in the comment area say that India is more "democratic". Here I want to ask a few questions. Is only the "Western Election System" of democracy. All other forms of government forms are "dictatorship"? Is the "Western Election System" process or result? Is it a tool for getting happiness and freedom, or is it as long as there are elections? There is also a classic question, if you are sick. Go to the hospital to find a professional doctor for you. Still running to the square, let everyone choose someone who doesn't hate it for you? So why should a country be given to an actor, or an internet celebrity, or even a businessman to manage it? Just because most people who vote do not hate them? Western governments and media, including India, are criticizing that China is not "democracy." It is a centralized society. But they never mentioned that China actually practiced "Western Democracy" in 1912. China established Congress in the first year of the Republic of China in 1912. The Western -style national elections and parliamentary systems are implemented, including national representatives and so on. However, the result is that China has gained a 25 -year civil war. A large number of warlords are spawned. The well -known warlords are "Yanxishan" he controls Shanxi Province, and "zhangzuolin" he controls the three northeast provinces. "Luyongting" he controlled Guangdong and Guangxi Province. "Tangjirao" he controlled Yunnan Province. "Wangwenhua" he controlled Jiangxi, and so on. China's territory was split by more than ten warlords, and their administrative politics ignored the central government's decree. There is a foreign forces behind each warlord. Through these warlords, the foreign government has continuously seized the interests and rich mineral resources of the Chinese people, and served as dumping and opium dumping as foreign commodities. During this period, because of the uneven distribution of interests of those foreign governments, they would instruct the warlord agents they controlled to launch civil war against each other. As a result, the Chinese people who died reached 4 million people. It is like Libya or Syria now. The domestic people held the weapons provided by the foreign government and shouted the slogan of "free democracy" to attack each other and slaughter their own citizens. Therefore, don't say that China is not democratic enough. We don't want that democracy like that. Those Western governments are just imposing to China's so -called "democratic freedom" just to pack exquisite packaging. We tried it and were almost poisoned. What the Western government and the United States want are just a four -point cracking and war, like Ukraine. Unfortunately, Chinese people don't want to. We want to live well and live with dignity.
@@keli4396 Thank you for your compliments. These are just some of my thoughts. Many times, for a country, party competition should be controlled within a small range. Party competition should not affect the normal development of the country. In fact, party competition in "Western democracy" is not for "right or wrong". More often, it is "opposition for opposition". Even if the policy you oppose is right, you must oppose it. Just like the British Parliament and the two parties in the United States. Many times, even if the policy proposed by the other party is beneficial to the country, the opposition party will fiercely oppose it. After all, it only concerns the position, not right or wrong. This makes it so that in the United States and the Western world, there are few things that can make the government agree in recent years. Almost all of them rely on the overwhelming seat advantage or power of the ruling party to implement something. Since 2019, from my personal observation, many policies in countries such as Europe and the United States are contradictory and full of opposition. So that the development of the country has stagnated. Many livelihood construction projects have been delayed for many years because of repeated political cancellations or because of the obstruction of the opposition party. There are fewer and fewer compromises and consensuses between political parties, and more and more oppositions and conflicts. Policies are also swinging back and forth, making it difficult for people to make a decision. The overall business environment is also getting worse, causing capital to flee to countries with stable policies to build factories. Because capital needs a stable political environment and a stable social environment. Unfortunately, Western political parties never reflect on themselves, but only blame each other or throw dirty water on third parties. Or they shirk responsibility. I often pay attention to international dynamics, and I can see a lot of political fun on RU-vid. Today, there is a fight in the parliament of this country, and tomorrow, the parliament of that country is attacked by angry people. I am not saying that democracy is bad, but that "Western democracy" can no longer keep up with the times. It is solidified and stereotyped, and often manifests dogmatism. Think about it, how many outstanding thinkers and politicians appeared in the West throughout the 20th century. And since the 21st century, how many years has it been since the West has had a real thinker? And those standing on the stage are political stars launched by "political talent shows". Either they are so old that they can fall down when walking down the stairs, or they are political fanatics who can only talk nonsense to incite populism and incite opposition. I have to say that this is a tragedy.
As a Chinese, i study in Germany. I have a lot schoolmates from India. I think they study well and are hard working. They change my stereotypes of Indian. Actually no matter Chinese or Indian, we both are Asian. We need come together and minimize nationality biases
My 2 cents. I think the biggest difference between the two countries is people's mindset. Through so many ups and downs, Chinese people, especially the Chinese leaders, are accustomed to facing big challeges and difficulties, and even eargerly looking forward to, revolutionary changes and disruptive reforms. Meanwhile in India, national independence was earned through non-voilent and noncooperation movements, changes are usually happening in a more gradual, slow and passive way, because India hasn't faced big crisis, violent revolutions and radical reforms in its recent history. People rarely want to get out of their comfort zone, because they don't have to. The mindset of the Indian people is more about opportunistic thinking than strategic thinking, and too much diversity, conflicting interests and chaotic democracy lead to low efficiency and shortsight (sometimes self-defeating) decisions.
If democracy cannot be untied from inefficiency... I will only say that democracy is not suitable for poor countries. Even many people seem unwilling to mention that the decline of the West is closely related to the inefficiency of democracy.

thumbs up for your honesty, many of the other vloggers love to sugarcoat the reality traveling in India, which could cause actual harms for their viewers thinking that india is a hasslefree place to visit
Haha, controversial topic. I've also often wondered why Indians are so concerned abt China's development; in their media reports, hasn't India long since surpassed China in every way?
As a Chinese I dont really understand why ppl always compare us with India, except population theres absolutely nothings between us that deserves to be compared -- actually we Chinese never have interests to compare to India, always only Indian they own want to compare to us... 我们不介意做印度的朋友 因为印度不值得我们作为一个对手去竞争
Well honestly... Thanks for ur honest & unbiased opinions, infact as an indian I too agree with you. I don't even see any point comparing india & china. Obviously china is way more developed & modern compared to india & that's natural bcoz they started their modernization 10-20y before us. It's obvious that they would advance more (not bcoz we're dumb, bcoz we started late). But as you said, there are multiple prblms within india as other countries have, it might not be the best place in the world from a foreigner's perspective but definitely can be on one's good side of the memories (among all other countries in the world) with a mix feelings. We're growing rapidly, we're in the process of growth, we haven't yet fully "grown" which means yes there are multiple problems that we need to solve in future, thanks for visiting, do visit us again :) I'd say to all foreigners: "don't come to india to see everything good or just bad. Visit us to witness the change, the co-existence of good & bad, you need to be careful & even we stay careful in our own country (in some phishy areas, not everywhere). Witness our recovery. Coz maybe after 15-20y, india is going to be another china (or even better if I be more hopeful for my own country), then you guys will miss the opportunity to witness the process 😂😂
Hi, Ken! If you are planning a trip to Chengdu, I highly recommend that you spend a few days after Chengdu to visit the natural attractions around Chengdu, such as Jiuzhaigou Valley, Siguniang Mountain and Jianmen Pass. These Sichuan scenery is also crazy beautiful!❤
Probably the most rational and logical review of India I've ever seen from a non Indian vlogger. How any Indian can be angry at this is beyond me. People should accept the problems and challenges of their country and to make changes and grow and be better
Comments like this show your blind hardcore racism because you are indicating that Indians are an insult because they are not human beings and Chinese are human beings. Such racism needs to be stopped. This video is not meant for such comments. Firstly China is not a super perfect country. It's GDP per capita is below 10000$ and India's GDP per capita is 3500$. The gap is not that wide. Moreover China's ranking in press freedom and happiness index is not decent. Sri Lanka surpasses China in Human Development Index. So not an insult I guess. Moreover that comparison is only because China is better than India. India compares with China to see it's shortcomings and improve them in the same way China did. Not really, how many years is actually not time gap, social system and political standards decided 40 or 60 or 80 or more years, for changing a serious class consciousness country, or you sacrifice the national sovereignty, let foreigner financial groups control the government, or change the socia system entirely which is couldn't happen because of culture and history.

The meaning of traveling is to observe the different cultural landscapes of each country. The more challenging the country, the more interesting it is, hahaha
@hynoor7254 No offense intended. As a Chinese, I just want to correct a few untruths about China in your words. First: China in 1970 was in the midst of ten years of turmoil during the so-called "Cultural Revolution". It was a gloomy day, and it was not until 1976 that the country entered normalization. And on May 20, 1978, it began to implement the policy of opening up to the outside world. As of 1980, China's total GDP was US$191.1 billion, while India's total GDP at that time was US$186.3 billion. The difference between the two is only US$4.8 billion, but in terms of per capita GDP, India is ahead of China. Second: "If the Chinese government wants to develop a city, it can ask people to evacuate the entire area." Oh my god, are you crazy? Can't you check it online? From the period of reform and opening up until 2023, the renovation of old urban areas requires developers to publicly bid and provide considerable compensation to people in the relocated areas. This is why many people in China have become rich due to demolition. You can Google China’s demolition compensation policy, and it wasn’t until after 2023 that the government banned such large-scale demolitions.
In China, any massive housing project that requires demolition of your own homes is a FAT opportunity of becoming a millionaire overnight. Hence the name 拆二代 (literally, 2nd generation of ppl whose homes are demolished). When you see the character 拆 inside a circle that is painted outside a home, don't feel pity for the ppl who are forced to evacuate. You'd better pity yourself for missing such a chance of getting rich. 🤣🤣🤣
If the Chinese government wants to develop a city, it can ask people to evacuate the entire area. -- Yes but only when the government pays a large number of money to people and then they and their children don't need to work anymore.
So far I have spent 4 longer (2-3 months each time) stays in India and the favorite part that I would recommend you is Sikkim. I went there in December, when there was some snow and less tourists (my hotel was quite empty). It was adventurous with the mountains and wildlife, difficulty getting there etc. and at the same time incredibly relaxing. It's a region where people walk a lot (and I love walking and hiking so that was perfect), it's very clean, the air was so fresh (even cleaner than the tiny city in Sweden where my mother lived!), it was cold but sunny, people are super friendly, no smoking allowed even in streets, very interesting cultural heritage etc. That said I've only been to India 4 times so far, so I'm sure I'll find many more places that I will love as much or even more. As for Delhi it's not at all that stressful everywhere. I stay in nice areas in South Delhi, with lots of huge parks around and no tourists traps, and honestly it's more relaxing than where I live in the centre of Milan!
Sorry to hear you were subjected to more aggressive comments from your India videos. But there are all kinds of people out there. Just keep doing what you're doing. Safe travels.
9:00 - You won't get any digestion problems if you eat cooked foods, washed fruits and drink bottled water 18:10 - Most foreigners like Mumbai and Chennai most. 21:20 - I don't know much about excitement but if you want to relax, stay in Visakhapatnam. Affordable hotels, suite rooms and beautiful beaches and parks. And great sea-food.
Hello, Ken. I’m from Guizhou, China. If you visit China again, I recommend you go to Guizhou. It is one of the poorest provinces in China, but its natural scenery is very beautiful. The Dragon Palace and the Xijiang Miao Village are especially worth seeing.
Ken, if you want to spend your holidays in India then go to Port Blair and the adjoining islands like Havelock island etc. and stay in a resort, go for scuba diving in the crystal clear waters of the ocean. You will have a relaxing holiday. Since I have visited all parts of India from north to south east to west, you can give some weightage to my advice. However being an Indian I like all parts of India with so many heritage sites and such scenic landscape. But we should get rid of the trash which is a common sight in India and get rid of it fast. Keep up your good work.

Most people in the world don't know that India annexed a piece of China in 1951. The area is called South Tibet and became today's so-called Arunachal Pradesh. Here is the timeline of how it happened: 1912: In the first full year of the Republic of China after the fall of the Qing dynasty, the United States National Geographic Magazine dedicated an issue to China. Accompanying the issue is a large and detailed fold-out map of China. The map clearly shows that Dirang Dzong (德讓宗) and Tawang (達旺) are within the boundary of China. 1943: British India likely calculated that dealing with the Lhasa government was easier than with the Republic of China's Nationalist Government in extracting land concessions and proposed to the United States to recognize Tibet's right to exchange diplomatic representatives with other powers. The Americans rejected this proposal: "The Government of the United States has borne in mind the fact that the Chinese Government has long claimed suzerainty over Tibet and that the Chinese constitution lists Tibet among areas constituting the territory of the Republic of China. This Government has at no time raised a question regarding either of those claims." 1944: British India annexed Dirang Dzong (德讓宗), a Tibetan-settled area. Dzong means fort in Tibetan. The Chinese Government (the Nationalist Government of the Republic of China, seated in Kunming at the time because of World War II) protested to the British. So did the Tibetan Lhasa government. 1945: British India intruded into the tribal area of South Tibet. February 1947: The Chinese Nationalist Government lodged a complaint with the Indian mission, which was by then newly established in China, on British India's border intrusions into Chinese territory. August 1947: Britain left South Asia, and India was created as the successor polity to the departed British. India's creation means that a country that historically did not exist suddenly appears on China's doorstep. October 1947: The Tibetan Lhasa Government dispatched a formal request to New Delhi, asking the newly independent Indian Government to withdraw all its predecessors' intrusions into the territory between the McMahon Line and the traditional border beneath the foothills and return a wide swath of territory from Ladakh to Assam, including Sikkim and the Darjeeling district. 1949: When the defeat of the Nationalist Government in China's civil war was imminent, the Republic of China's ambassador in New Delhi reminded the Indian Government that China did not recognize the McMahon Line and held the Simla Convention invalid. October 1949: The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) took control of the mainland, and its civil war rival, the Republic of China, retreated to Taiwan. December 1949: India recognized the People's Republic of China as the legitimate government, effectively cutting off the diplomatic channel the Republic of China used to deliver its protests to India. February 1951: India annexed Tawang (達旺), the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama and home to the four-hundred-year-old Tawang Monastery. The Tibetan authorities in Lhasa protested but were simply informed by the Indian political officer that India was taking over Tawang. The Tibetans protested again, accusing the Indian Government of 'seizing as its own what did not belong to it.' The Tibetans went on to ask New Delhi to withdraw its forces from Tawang immediately. The protests were ignored. The Republic of China (which had already retreated to Taiwan by then and had no diplomatic relation with India) also vehemently denounced India's territorial travesty. Curiously the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) made no noise. 1954: India published a new map showing South Tibet as part of India. The map also shows the two neighbors of China, Sikkim and Bhutan, as part of India. Sikkim has been a neighbor of China for many hundreds of years and has enjoyed good relations. In the 18th century, Sikkim was briefly overrun by the Nepalese Gorkhas, and the Sikkim king fled to China seeking help. The then Qianlong emperor dispatched an expedition to Sikkim, expelled the Gorkhas, and restored Sikkim's sovereignty and independence. Sikkim remained unmolested for the rest of its history until it was annexed by India in 1975. Bhutan is another neighbor of China, and their proximity is evident simply by comparing the flags of Bhutan and the Qing dynasty of China. January 1959: The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) commented for the first time on the issue of South Tibet when Zhou Enlai, in a letter to Nehru, offered to concede South Tibet to India. However, India rejected the offer, as it also claims Aksai Chin as part of India. Aksai Chin is located in an area that is very hard to access from the Indian side due to difficult terrain. This is evidenced by the fact that China was able to build a road there over two years without India even noticing, and India only became aware of it when reading an article from China describing the construction project. This clearly indicates that India not only has no control over the area but also lacks visual access to the region. 1960: India started establishing posts (border markers) north of South Tibet (north of the McMahon Line) and proclaiming that it has the right to unilaterally 'improve' the McMahon Line as it sees fit. October 1962: After years of warning, China attacked India's position in South Tibet and recovered Tawang shortly. Three weeks later, in a second wave, China recovered the whole of South Tibet. November 1962: China unilaterally withdrew back to the north of the McMahon line. 1975: India annexed Sikkim. 1987: India made South Tibet a state and renamed it the so-called Arunachal Pradesh. The Republic of China (Taiwan) put out a statement denouncing India. Here is the statement: "In regard to the issue of the Indian government's illegal occupation of our country's territory and the establishment of the so-called 'Arunachal Pradesh,' the foreign ministry of the Republic of China issued the following announcement at midnight: India's illegal occupation of our country's territory has been repeatedly stated by the Government of the Republic of China as something it will not recognize. Recently, the Indian Congress unilaterally passed the establishment of 'Arunachal Pradesh' to the south of the so-called McMahon Line. The Indian Government also made it a state. The Government of the Republic of China once again solemnly proclaims that the Government of India intends to legitimize its illegal occupation of Chinese territory. The Government of the Republic of China regards this as illegal, void, and absolutely not recognized." 2008: With the return of Hong Kong to China, Britain effectively withdrew from its colonial involvement in Asia, and Tibet lost its utility as a potential bargaining chip in British negotiations with China concerning Hong Kong. With no remaining interests in Tibet, Britain could afford to be forthright for once. The British government issued a statement acknowledging China's sovereignty over Tibet (previously recognized as suzerainty, not sovereignty). This statement, endorsed by both the Conservative and Labour parties, is notable for its candor in admitting Britain's past territorial ambitions in Tibet and adopts an almost apologetic tone. Here is an excerpt: "...But our position is unusual for one reason of history that has been imported into the present: the anachronism of our formal position on whether Tibet is part of China, and whether in fact we harbour continued designs to see the break-up of China. We do not. Our ability to get our points across has sometimes been clouded by the position the UK took at the start of the 20th century on the status of Tibet, a position based on the geopolitics of the time. Our recognition of China's "special position" in Tibet developed from the outdated concept of suzerainty. Some have used this to cast doubt on the aims we are pursuing and to claim that we are denying Chinese sovereignty over a large part of its own territory. We have made clear to the Chinese Government, and publicly, that we do not support Tibetan independence. Like every other EU member state, and the United States, we regard Tibet as part of the People's Republic of China. " 2014: A Tibetan Chinese named Nido Tania from Arunachal Pradesh (occupied South Tibet) went to Delhi and was beaten to death because he 'looked Chinese.' 2024: In the 1990s, India subtly probed the People's Republic of China (PRC), leading to the inference that China's position on South Tibet had hardened, despite the PRC officially maintaining ambiguity on the matter. It has become evident that China's earlier offer to cede South Tibet is no longer available, as China has explicitly stated that South Tibet is part of its territory. This stance mirrors the positions of both the Tibetan Lhasa Government and its civil war rival, the Republic of China (Taiwan).

Enjoy your videos a lot, thank you for bringing us amazing content as always, just ignore those negative energy, just keep continuing your exploration which I really admire. Love from an ordinary Chinese citizen.
Not sure why but I don’t have the urge to go to India. Been to China about 7 times to Shenzhen first time in 2004 and last was around 2019 and I must have to say the advancement is just amazing. In 2004 the factory parking lot was all bikes and the infrastructure was like a third world country. Today it is very modern and I am just amazed!
@@sarahye3529How far into the future? 100 years or 1000 years?I'm sorry if this comes off as offensive, but India seems to be a country filled with an inexplicable confidence, from the government to its people
Honest perspective of India buddy - As an Indian I respect your opinion , trash problem is real , hopefully it would get sorted when you come back again!
Also, there are two completely different ways of thinking between China and India. At least in the comments I have seen from the people of both countries, I have found that even though China has achieved some things that are world number one and ahead of other countries, Chinese people still believe that it is not good enough. Unless China is 100% good in all things, they will not be willing to admit that their country is good enough. I think this is related to the shadow left by our countless experiences of oppression and bullying in modern times. On the other hand, in India, if you point out one of their shortcomings, such as the garbage on the streets, a large group of Indians will rush out to criticize you, blaming the critics instead of acknowledging their shortcomings and thinking that India is very advanced. I think this is related to their lack of intense conflicts, disruptive social changes, and thorough revolution since the founding of the country. So I believe that India is not an independent country, but a continuation of British colonialism. They have not completely transformed Indian society, have not experienced a huge crisis, have not had the conditions and courage for self revolution, but are immersed in the sweet words of Western countries, getting deeper and deeper in the dream called "Great India" woven for them by the West.
India is comparing with China only because China is better so that India can sort out it's shortcomings and improve the way China did. Educated Indians compare India with China with the intent of looking at China as their inspiration and as a perfect nation and check the gap between the two countries and try to cover that gap in the same way China did with the western countries. An average student always compares with the good students so that he can work like them and achive results like them and not with the dumb ones. Simple logic. Because of your hardcore racism. Buddhism originated in India and was a major religion of many Chinese empires and interwined in your culture and heritage. How can you simply ignore India? You try to be friends with those Anglo Countries which plundered, took away your sovereignty and respect in the 19th century and during Boxer Rebellion and still today insults your food culture and your immigrants. Stop caring about the Anglos they are not your friends. India, Nepal are your historical friends. Improve your cooperation with them. Poor Ken, I can tell you were holding back and being v careful and diplomatic about India.. it's definitely quite a dirty, unsafe and undeveloped country..
In India, the newer areas are modern areas and the older areas have been neglected, remember that India is a continuously inhabited country that is thousands of years old. Anytime you go to the newer areas or the more affluent areas, you will find a different style and level of architecture and beauty, and when you go to the older areas, you find the chaos but also the ancient culture.
What a fun, informative, interesting and nice Q & A video. Thank you very much for sharing your honest opinions/thoughts about your trip to India. I have learned so much about India from you. Thanks again, Ken, for creating and sharing this video clip. Good job and keep it up !!
Because I like your channel, I'd like to offer a suggestion: it's best to avoid these comparative topics. They might offend either Indians or Chinese, and usually, it ends up offending the former.
As someone who has plans to travel around asia in the future, I am glad that you show only what you see. I can see a true experience of a traveler through your eyes. It would be disappointing if you didn't show the bad side to make a "nice" video and someone went to these places and had a total different experience. Specially because it is not easy to face a different culture alone with 0 knowledge about the place, if even with internet, people only show the good parts. It is better if we are aware of what we gonna find. Thank you for your public service.
