Well done Emilia!! Wish I knew about the live stream. I just finished watching the USA championships, would be great to see you attempt some of those puzzles. Love from the UK❤
Thank you! Next year I’m sure they will make sure everyone knows about the live streams. And yes, Sarah Schuler is the best person in the planet and is getting me all the USA limited edition puzzles. It will take some time to get them shipped all the way to Finland but it’s coming!!!
Glad your pain didn't prevent you from competing in the other events. I just love that teams puzzle and hope it releases more broadly (including the US!) soon. I know the USA nationals puzzles are having a full release in the fall, so I'm hoping it's something similar for these.
Yes! I just did that teams puzzle with my 🇫🇮 team on Thursday and our time was 51mins 7secs. We would have won the Swedish Nationals with that time 😄 The winning time was 56mins and some seconds. Hopefully next year we get to compete as an international team there!
Thank you so much. I have to say that two more competitions right after this Pussel SM was quite a lot. I need to get back on track with the community next week after my puzzle break. 😁
Thanks again, it was great to be your pair. I look so slow compared to you. 😢 But well, I look slow even in my 39 min record video. 😅 I'm going to the Norway champs with my "regular" pair, by the way. And of course, we will have the Finnish champs before that. So see you there.
Thank YOU! It was fun and our styles worked well together. Too extra fast puzzlers can easily sabotage each others and we didn’t have that problem at all. 😊 Also I just look fast sometimes but I’m not actually getting anything done… 😅 I will see you around! Glad to hear you are going to Norway too!
Yes I agree about Paris postcard! When I saw it (was watching live a bit) I was convinced it will be in Worlds if it's the same format. Wanted to buy it but for my amazon it only shows up as preorder with delivery data sometime in June. Then again after seeing USA Jigsaw Nationals I could also see Worlds adapting the same format where every round is an unreleased puzzle. Only time will tell! Also hope you figure out the health problems coz it would suck big time getting ill again in some competition in a foreign country!
Yeah. It’s published only later this year. If you saw it available for preorder, I recommend to take your chances because it was even unavailable in Amazong for preorder sometime ago - the demand is real. I think all championships should have only unreleased puzzles, especially if the results affect moving forward to other rounds or in the future from nationals to worlds. Also I think some associations have people being part pf ordering the puzzles for nationals and also competing… I find this extremely tricky. In Pussel SM and USA Nationals it was clear that no organizers can compete as it should be! :)
@@puzzlewithemilia totally agree. I'm actually hoping they will adapt the unreleased puzzle approach for worlds this year. Also I was even thinking they might do 300piece puzzles for qualification rounds if way more ppl sign up as they have been releasing puzzles for adults with that piece count.
I'm going to be visiting Oslo and Gothenburg in 3 weeks. Are there any puzzle stores I should go to? I'm coming from the States and would love to bring home a puzzle from my travels. I heard Larsen is a Norwegian puzzle brand. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Great recap of the championships. And great job on your scores!
Let’s be honest that I know much more about speed puzzling than puzzle brands. But these are some stores in Gothenburg that other puzzlers recommended for me: Lekia, Akademibokhandeln and Adlibris. These are all more toy and book stores. I don’t think in Nordic we have too many ’just puzzles’ brick-and-mortar stores. But I’m sure there will be great and different options for someone who is coming from States. At least Sweden they also sell two Finnish brands: Tactic and Peliko (also known as Martinex). Either one is really not super high quality. Tactic has good quality but lots of photo bank images. Peliko has very unique/licensed images sometimes but oh boys they have false fits (so I recommend to to buy any solid color images) 😊
