When things like this happen, I don’t blame the spouse for divorcing the “trans” partner.

I know a woman who transitioned after having three kids. She went from being a bored housewife/single mother to being part of the gay community, being invited to speak at events, and getting endless pats on the back from everyone around her. People are transitioning because they are bored and lonely. It's very sad.

"What if I'm not trans?" isn't a question you should be asking yourself AFTERWARDS

I'd be unhappy if my mom cut off all her hair, dyed it green, called herself a man, then posted to Tik Tok. Poor kiddo, poor husband. He will leave her and probably take the child.

This is exactly why in Japan they require trans people to wait to transition until after the kids are no longer minors.

If my husband transitioned, I would divorce him immediately. I’m not a lesbian and I promised in my wedding vows to take him as a lawfully wedded *husband,* not a wife. Transitioning after marriage is abandonment, plain and simple.

I know people don’t like Caitlyn Jenner but at least he/she transitioned after all her kids were grown and they had their own lives and she had divorced her wife. Her kids still call her Dad, Caitlyn understands why and accepts this fact. She didn’t do while they were growing up because it wasn’t about her.

I saw a Dr Phil show years ago where a father was defending not paying child support because he was saving up that money to get breast implants & facial feminization surgery. He thought being trans made him different from the usual scumbags who leave their marriage & kids, don’t pay child support & abandon the kids. I felt so sorry for the kids. They were just heartbroken 💔 & damaged for life from that rejection.

She's having a mid-life crisis. Instead of destroying three lives, perhaps she should have just bought herself a sports car.

My kids got upset, when I dyed my hair brunette. Children want to look at their Mommy and feel safe and secure. Looking at a complete stranger and voice must be terrifying. I dyed my hair back to it's natural color, because it brought them comfort and familiarity. Being a parent means to be SELFLESS, and always put the child's needs above your own.

It says a lot that this person took this to social media. Not other family members, not a doctor or therapist or psychiatrist. No, they went to the place that will affirm their delusion and tell them the opposite of what they need to hear so they can feel validated. And this is a daughter. How would she feel to know her role model is just flipping sides and "abandoning" womanhood?

Marcus thank you for bringing to light the heartache when adults transition. My daughter transition a couple of years ago. Ashley lived her life a a lesbian even marring. Ashley was told by her new partner the reasons for her suicidal attempts were due to her being a man in a woman's body. As her mom I knew this was not the case. We accepted Ashley as being gay. I had conversations of she thought she was born in the wrong body. Her reply was alway the same. Mom I'm just a Butch Lesbian. Within months of her last suicide attempt Ashley went through full breast removal along with a hysterectomy. They placed in on hormone replacement along with a slew of mood stabilizers. Ashley didn't make it. She committed suicide Dec 26, 2022. at the age of 39. The focus is primarily about young children and teens. We need to protect them all. This is a money making racket. Beautiful lives are being stolen

When you have a child is no longer about you !!! These adults only thing about themselves. She doesn’t know how blessed she is to have a child and a husband. 🙄

Why does she keep referring to her own child as 'this child' or 'the child'? That's so obscure. I don't have children but I do have cats and always say 'my cat' when talking about them to strangers like this lady is doing about her child. It's just a bit odd... Maybe it's that lack of connection to her child that allows her to be so dejected from them and care so little about their opinion.

How incredibly narcissistic. It's akin to the child's mother dying. The amount of trauma this child is undergoing is immense and she will likely be forever scarred.

Wishing there was a trial period = this is why you need a greater amount of mandatory therapy and social transition prior to being approved for PERMANENT hormones

Why do they always publicly post their dirty laundry onto social media? If I ever had a deeply personal conflict with a family member, I would keep that shit private, of at least reach out to my immediate circle of friends for advise.

This person is selfish. They want attention over their children. They aren't trans, they are severly depressed. Im a mother of 2 grown afult children...trust me children dont appreciate or even get you as a person until they have evolved into adults and you can meet them on an even level. All this kid wants is their mommy back. I hurt for all these kids...as a momma I just want to hug and protect them.

Adding to what Marcus said about the daughter "losing her mom": I'm an adult, and even I would be devastated if my mom started to look, sound and smell completely different than she used to. The presence and body chemistry of a mother is comforting to her child. What this person has turned (or will turn) herself into, in the physical sense, is a stranger. She won't feel the same, smell the same etc., and I think her daughter is lamenting that.

I support transitioning if that’s what an adult feels they need to. I don’t agree with getting married and having kids without warning my partner I’m trans. Of course her family is upset . And your child should come first

I feel like top surgeries and hormones are the new drugs everyone is taking to be “cool”.

The child had a mother and now she does not have a mother. The man had a wife and now he has something else. Sad.

Before being Trans was a thing, if a person was transsexual and wanted surgery to transition, a reputable doctor would make the patient live as the gender they want for a full year, and get psychological counseling. This was to work out any problems both mental and physical before any surgery happened. We really need to bring this concept back.

When parents start to put their priorities above theirs childrens' society goes downhill

As a teen, if one of my parents transitioned, I’d feel freaked out. Not because I’m transphobic though. It’s like… they just turn into a totally new person. Especially for a young child, it’s like seeing your mom/dad being replaced by someone you don’t know. It’s scary. Children need that sense of security from their parent.

I’m a teacher and cannot imagine putting my own feelings above the needs of my students. And I’m not even a parent!!

I think we need to return back to reality and embrace common-sense and logic once more. Those people need to realize that nobody (outside of the activists, government and mainstream-medias), buy their insanity anymore. Nothing they say work, they are even losing support by their OWN fault, this is completely deserved.

A member of my family transitioned as a mother. I really wanted to ask, at what point does your 9 year old have to stop calling you mom, and call you dad? The poor kid was an excellent student, lots of friends, and happy. Now he doesn’t invite friends over, requests that his parent not go to school events, and he’s doing poorly in school. He wants to live with his dad, but since he’s only 9, and his parents never married, his dad doesn’t have a leg to stand on. It breaks my heart to see that the person who gave birth to this child cannot tell he is hurting and crying out for help.

the own husbands doesn't want to be together with a trans, that simple, and understandable that this can not simply be overlooked.

I HATE all of these people coming out as “trans” when they MARRIED someone, had KIDS, & then they decide to flip the family upside down. If you were trans or suspected BEFORE marrying your spouse, why would still marry them!! It should be possible to sue these people for false claims

Even if he is trans, it is so hard on kids and partners and I feel like we ignore that. Maybe the husband isn't gay. Maybe the kids just miss having a mom.

How do we have ‘men’ who have babies then if they have gender dysphoria ? It is an extremely female experience I have always wondered how that works.

This level of selfishness and self centered behavior is not something the husband is gonna fix. She felt better directly after beginning transitioning, because she was taking TESTOSTERONE! She had a honeymoon period, because her body isn’t used T, now she’s back to feeling as crappy as she did before. This is being reported by thousands of females who transition, who are not really trans.

it is sooo irresponsible for a Dr to put a person with a mood disorder on T. Transistioning does NOT fix mood disorders. Someone with a mood disorder should have to have a MUCH longer monitoring period before getting any form of permanent body change meds or surgery.

So sad for that little girl and the husband to have such a selfish woman putting herself first and posting about their very private matters online.

My abusive ex has three children. One with me, who he sees at erratic intervals. He as never met one child and hasn't seen the other in more than ten years. About a month after I escaped with our child, she was one, he started taking me to court. Admittedly, he did have a fetish for cross dressing during the relationship. However, I never thought he would take it this far. A week before court he messages and states that I must now call him by female pronouns and so must our child. She was already saying, "Da-da." He wouldn't allow for any space to allow our child to adapt. It was, "She will call me Mommy." This from a man who would dress in drag and brag about being a "chick with a huge d*ck." During my pregnancy his favorite line was "You don't thank the oven, you thank the chef." He constantly told jokes about domestic violence and when I would ask him to stop or simply leave the room he would shout at me that I was too thin skinned and weak. I could go on... Flatly stated nothing about this man to this day that says transgender. It's been close to three years and no he is still not on hormones. His idea of passing is coverup and tights with no underwear, so yes the ah bulge is very obvious. Our child stopped talking and I had to get her into a speech therapy program when she was two. I am called so many names by him. He started calling the man he cheated on me with during my pregnancy as "daddy," to our child about three months after the first hearing. They're not married. He will go months without talking to our child or having any visitation. The longest was six months. He owes over a year in back child support. I could tell you about the horrors I endured at his hands and the post separation abuse I am still having to go through and maybe one day I will tell the world... As of right now, I'm just trying to heal and to concentrate on our child having a better life than me. Sure, children adapt but not at the rate he wants her too. She's still very confused. I find myself having to be very careful about sharing my experiences with other people. I was asked to leave one peer trauma support group for simply refusing to refer to my ex as female and by female pronouns. It's not that I am a bigot or transphobic or whatever slur my ex and others have tossed at me... This is different from someone who is truly fighting dysphoria, like Marcus. It's different from someone who is passing and simply trying to live their best life. I don't know, maybe the world will change and I will finally be able to start talking more but right now? No, I'm not ready to be put in the spot light and screamed at for something I am not.

Not such a far cry from the “I need to be happy so I’m running off with this guy/girl” parent. It’s just narcissism in a different form.

Unless someone passes (like Marcus), "The Emperor's New Clothes" is the best anyone transitioning can expect from the world. People will lie to your face every day either to be nice, or to avoid the consequences of not lying to you. That's it.

It’s hard for me to imagine being happy while my spouse and child are so unhappy. You actually do owe your child something.

children need stability - from their environment and from their parents. what they don't need is a parent playing the identity dress up game and expecting the child to keep up with the everchanging rules.

THIS is the exact problem I had with Kris Tyson. Not the fact that she's trans, but the fact that she committed to being a father, and took that away from her kid. Every time I explain this I get called a transphobe

When I heard that woman speak about her daughter, what came to me is that's a little girl who's lost her mummy and is grieving. It broke my heart😢 There didn't appear to be any understanding on this person's side that the daughter and husband are grieving the loss of the woman she was and it's hard for them.

Her poor husband he is in such a difficult situation the love of his life is struggling so much but cant do anything to help her this is why i say attention has become a drug this women would hurt her kwn child to get that hit of attention and validation and she is acting like an adict

The saddest thing I’ve ever heard is that my dear friend, who’s Transexual, since 40 years ago only got back with her daughter in recent years. Her daughter said she couldn’t accept it all until she stopped mourning the “ death “ of her father… my friend.

As a native american woman who almost took test* - Thank you! I am a mother who has brought 2 more natives into this world. Without you, I would've sterilized myself due to social media and one doctor visit. My babies are alive due to you ❤️

Having gone through Post Partum Depression, I would hazard a guess that it had something to do with this transition.

The Gender Identification Clinic in Detroit required patients to live as the sex they were transitioning to for a year. I talked to one of the doctors who happened to be an OB/gyn. This was back in 1976 and he was one of doctors I saw in the OB group. Whenever pregnant me had an appointment with him the waiting room had what appeared to be men in dresses. They were early in their transition and trying (maybe too hard) to fit in. I’m not sure why an gyn would be involved. Maybe no other doctor would operate on the men. I asked some questions and he said he didn’t want to do the surgeries but so many people were showing up mangled by surgeons in Mexico he had to. Assuming he also did hysterectomies on trans men. He was a compassionate man. I was sad he wasn’t on call when my son was born. He always sang happy birthday in the delivery room!

I can't imagine doing something deliberately that would upset my children to that extent. Just because *"I* want to." They basically out and out said, "I don't care that you're upset. This is what *I* need and want, so you'll just have to learn to deal." A real parent would never do that.

As a mother of 7, i can 100% see how trauma in motherhood could make a woman think she's dysphoric. My best friend is dysphoric, but she has been pretty much her entire life so the only thing about motherhood is that she just needs to sometimes talk about how pregnancy, breastfeeding and mothering (especially really young infants) triggers that dysphoria. She just also feels very strongly about not transitioning and part of that is cause she knows she could never really be a man. If she can't grow a penis and actually be a man, it's not enough for her to transition.

Maybe seeing a therapist should of been choice number 1.

I can only imagine the problems the child is going to have. Can you see the kid trying to introduce someone to their family. "This is my mother.. She prefers the pronouns He/Him." A woman who gives birth will always have a female connection to her child, even if the mother transitions. Motherhood is very female and permanent. A mother's identity is fixed on the records as the MOTHER of so and so.

As a single mom of 2 boys who's father doesn't help my kids in any way shape or form I put my kids first no matter what! I buy their food with my budget and get what I can for myself after their needs are met. I do everything in my power to make sure they are happy and healthy. I just can not comprehend how she could put her kids through this?

You're either trans or you're not. And you know pretty early in life. So either transition when you become an adult OR commit to your obligation of being a mother. You cannot transition and ruin the life of a child/spouse in the process, it's not right..

There is a thing called a "trial run." It's called social transitioning. Cut your hair, wear more masculine clothes, go by a different name in public and try he pronouns. Requires zero hormones and surgeries. We all do that before we can get on hormones. I'm so confused what the hell she's talking about.

She will cry on camera when her husband leaves her and her daughter. And then she will realize how she messed up.

Once you bring life into this world, transitioning is off the table. At least not until your children are grown. How selfish are you? A parent's life is for their child. In the animal kingdom, mothers routinely give up EVERYTHING so their offspring have a chance at life--starving to death so they can protect their vulnerable babies at all times, sacrificing themselves to danger so their babies can escape, fighting to the death to protect them. Meanwhile humans are so divorced from nature and reality that we have parents who cant even be assed to give their babies a stable home life.

You can see the small echo chamber these folks live in when they make videos that are all “me me my feelings the community bla bla” how about “my child’s needs” and “my husbands wishes”? I have compassion for everyone who suffers but a lot of this is self inflicted and self centred. They claim not to care about what others think but in reality they care way too much. Live your life and be a good person and you will attract others who want to be in your space and accept you for you. Too much role playing and focus on dogma makes people deeply unhappy.

It reminds me of situations where a husband or wife realizes they are gay, and can no longer keep up pretenses. Often spouses and children wish things would go back to normal. We really know nothing about this person. If I was her I'd pay close attention to the inner voice questioning if trans is the right thing. Maybe divorce is the right thing.

Interesting. Most of the time it's men who transition after marriage and kids, leaving "trans widows" and fatherless children. The middle aged guys are mostly transitioning based upon sexual fetishes. So it is interesting to see a woman who has done this... different motivations but similar travesty for the family.

my mom knows me better than i know myself. she KNEW that transition wouldn’t make me happy and she was right. in fact, it made my mental health 10x worse. i really wish i had listened to her. hope this lady finds happiness in the end, but i hope more so that her children do.

Becoming a mother is so incredibly hard. Some days I would do anything to be able to be the father for just one night. This is heartbreaking because she probably just needed a break from being a woman in our society and now has damaged herself and her family.

Any married person or parent have a responsibility to their family first.

That they say they had a mood disorder makes me suspect they were feeling dysphoria but not gender dysphoria. Not all dysphoria is gender dysphoria

As a mother myself, I fully agree. This mother is being incredibly selfish as if even her family doesn’t believe her yet appear to be very accepting. Her husband probably knows she seeks validation in all the wrong (trending) places.

So I have no issue with someone being different from the norm but I have a huge issue when someone gets married and then later discloses they are gay or trans. It makes me upset when people lie to their partners and spouses like that. I’m bisexual and I was very upfront with my husband when we first got together because I believed he deserved an informed choice on being with me. It’s not being gay or trans, it’s lying about it and then involving children. Plus, if you’re honest about who you are, you can make a life that is good and doesn’t come at the expense of others

So many people transition because it’s a cultural fad or “the new thing” without considering the real world consequences of their actions or how it would affect the people closest to them. It's also a huge problem with the gay and lesbian community when they come out to their spouse and children. As a lesbian myself who grew up with religious and conservative parents, I would never marry man and have kids with him to make my family happy. I knew who I was a kid and I would never drag anyone with me because it would be very selfish. I hate people get a pass if they have a affair of the same sex because they were figuring out who they were. You made a commitment with this person when you married them and now your feelings are above them and the children. It frustrates me that the spouse or children can not be angry or express their feelings because if they do they are consider bigots. Nobody cares anymore how much harm this can cause their family as long as they are happy.

It is truly sad that these parents don't realize how selfish, childish, and just flat out wrong they are. If anything, wait until your kids are grown and out of the house. Your kids need their MOM right now, so be there for your kids during their formative years and stop being so selfish. Adults transition all the time--you can WAIT.

My sons 15 now. I had PND and really didn't enjoy the primary years of motherhood. Being a mum can be incredibly isolating and for me it felt dehumanising. I ended up having a emotional breakdown one day which was the tipping point to say to my partner I need me time for my MH and started running and cycling. What this mum has done is not the answer, the answer is to bring awareness to societies neglect of mothers and make it better. What she is doing doesn't solve anything.

I can almost guarantee she didn't consider the effects of her transition on her husband. He's not gay. Did she consider that he didn't want to be with a "man" or have people believe he was gay? Did she consider the effects that going from a heterosexual family to a gay family would have on her family/children? I feel for the kids but I feel worse for the husband. This isn't what he signed up for. Could you imagine how much "me, me, me" he hears come out of her mouth? I bet her "transition" is all she talks about. I'm guessing the husband is staying with her for a little while claiming it's "for the kids", but eventually it's gonna be too much and he'll leave. I just hope he gets custody. (Note: I am specifically calling her a "her" because I don't believe she's actually trans nor do I see her as a man. I also don't believe in compelled speech.)
