My husband finally arrives after being gone for over a month. We also visited my parents' small house on the mountain and celebrated my cousin’s son’s birthday as well as Father’s Day.

ngl, I think he took a big chunk with that big place he's living right now. I'm sure there were cheaper and more affordable options to accommodate until things get better.
He is no different to most families in the Philippines. The exception is he is able to travel to US, spend time on holiday with family and afford expensive 4 wd suv. Perhaps some financial restraint would help.

If we’re in the mountains here in the states they have a huge bulk tank outside the living space other than that all houses have city supplied gas and water. The outer edge of the bread is called the crust and a rolling pen is what is used to flatten dough. You guys don’t have to take off your slippers in that outside house? Is your dad left handed? Don’t most people who use gas always have two tanks (a spare tank)? That way, you never have an issue of running out of gas while cooking. Once one tank is empty, you replace it. My apologies if that isn’t SOP where you are.
