I will cook and make a lot of mashed potatoe so I don't waste potatoes then I freeze them in muffin pans and put in a freezer bag when frozen Then when I want mashed potatoes I microwave them in portions for a meal.

Great idea about the muffin tins. I freeze mashed potatoes in a plastic container but I like your tip better.

That's how we were taught to make roast in cajun land. So delicious but definitely does not meet the 10 minute criteria. Most cajun cooking doesn't but oh the flavors will roll you over. 🙃 That roast with the sautéed onions and mushrooms you made in the previous meal (cook it in the bits from the roast ❤) with mashed potatoes or rice. Oh. My. Yum! 🎉 You've taught me that we don't need flavor explosions for every meal but sometimes you just gotta do it. 😂

That's how I learned how to cut veggies also, without a cutting board. When you do it enough times, you know your knife and how sharp it is and the pressure you need to apply so that it only cuts the veggies. It's all a matter of practice 😊

I cooked stew meat in a covered skillet with beef consome and it took about 3 hrs to get tender. It was much smaller than your roast. Cant believe it is $8+ a lb.
