I'm 31, and am having a total hysterectomy in 3 days. I have PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids. I also have fibromyalgia, RA, diverticulitis and various other disorders, with a heavy suspicion toward lupus (testing for that is complicated). I'm so scared of the recovery period and how irritated the rest of my conditions are going to be by the internal shifting and swelling and tissue trauma. Your videos have been helpful for me. Thank you for sharing.

I just turned 30 and will be having a hysterectomy next month due to cervical cancer. I’ve been so nervous! She told me that it will be up to the specialist on whether they want to do it vaginally or open. Thank you for this video!!!!

I'd advocate for the vaginal. I think the recovery will be easier than being cut that much (like a c-section).

I want to Thank you for this post, I'm a bit freaked out, I had a C section with my youngest *8 yrs ago that turned into septicemia. After recovering from that the last thing a woman wants to do is end up back, so I told myself I'm fine.... Anyway on the 3rd of April I had an app with my Genie whom told me that I needed a full abdomen Hysterectomy, Fibroid's all over uterus. I'm trying to prepare myself as I'm going on the 18th April 2019. My problem is that I also have a fractured coccyx and I'm worried of getting up.... I'm struggling now already, I hope you all have full recoveries. Thank you for helping us out with your news feeds and recovery diary. Thank You Thank You Thank You

Monique Cayton Have you had surgery yet? I wondered how everything worked out given you had a fractured tailbone at that time. I wish I had seen this post much earlier so I could caution you to wait until your coccyx had healed. Being mobile after an abdominal surgery is going to be hard enough. Anyway, I hope all went well❤

@@boujiebarbie3198 Hey, I've been denied the surgery, until end of October, to see if my tailbone will be attached before the cut, so far my tailbone is still not 100% but praying that this October will be the end of all this abdominal pains, heavy floods and very uncomfortable times... Looking forward to a painless 2020

It is a total hysterectomy if they take your uterus and cervix. With Ovary removal its hysterectomy with oophorectomy. Tubal removal is salpingectomy. Partial is uterus only.

GWEN WILSON tomorrow will make a month and I have lost a couple of pounds. My stomach doesn’t protrude like it use to. I haven’t had sex. Your doctor will tell you to stay away from that for awhile. I just started driving just a couple of days ago. I am having a hard time going to sleep at night. I mean I don’t go to sleep until 3, 4, 5, 6, am sometimes, when I go back to see the doctor I will discuss that with him. I have started to do some household chores. No heavy lifting. I have accidentally picked up something that was heavy and you feel it. Just try to get as much rest as you can. I do spend a lot of time just laying around in bed. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask. I pray for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
