I'm crying because on the 18th of July, 2017... me and my mum went to visit my nan and she hadn't been downstairs yet... My mum found her upstairs dead on the floor... I'm only 12 and this has possibly scarred me for life... I plan on hopefully singing this at her upcoming funeral Love you Nan. xxx

My brother passed away in 2006 at 21 years old saving 2 people from a raging river and this song reminds me of the pain I have and his life being snuffed out so quickly. It is so damn powerful it brings me to my knees every time I hear it. Totally breaks me.

Since everyone is posting why this song made me cry I'll give it a go... This song makes me cry because when I was on VEVO for best rock songs of all time, in between Survivor's Eye Of The Tiger and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody was My Immortal by Evanescence. It made me cry because one of my favourite songs is ACTUALLY recognized for more then just an "emo, cutters, thug druggist band" song

I find it really odd. There are not many songs I can sing and even fewer groups I can sing songs from, but the one song I have always been able to sing is My Immortal. Sang it for a friend who is in a group that sings at bars for money and are good. He knew I could sing and just wanted me to try a song since I haven't sung solo in a while. I chose this song and in the middle of it he got up and grabbed some members from the group that were inside. Apparently they said I am one of the few who could sing this and that with just some practice I would be really good at it xD Apparently most people can't sing Amy Lee songs, who knew? Anyway, love Amy Lee and this is one of my favorite songs ever :)
