My Impression of the Myrtle Beach Bike Rally 2024

I have recently gotten back from the South Carolina Bike rally. I took the Can AM Spyder again and it didn't disappoint in the least. So how was the rally ? You will have to watch to find out. Also got a new helmet for the trip so I'll give my first impressions on it. I didn't film it this year as there was nothing different but if you want to se the ride down check out the two videos from last year posted below since we went down the same way (just no rain on day 2)

Good to see you back SI. My parents did a South Carolina Cruise trip many years ago when they retired. I remember my Mum saying how they really liked the area. They also visited Charleston and met some of the Southern Bells. Don't relish the idea of riding without a helmet and protective gear but I do understand the temptation, especially if it get's verey hot! Anyway, enough said for now and looking forward to the next one. Kind regards, Mike. 🌞🏍

There are many nice reasons to be in SC/NC but the landscape that I saw was not aww inspiring like a coastline or mountains. Did like the ocean. I definitly am not a hot weather rider like some, give me spring and fall I’m happy.

Michigan is a helmet optional state with some strange insurance caveats. I will run around town without once in a while, but I just don't feel right getting above 35 without the old brain bucket. I'm still on the hunt for a new helmet. Also, sometimes you just have to enjoy the ride without a camera. It's not good for channel content but amazing for relaxation. The dragon is what I would have chosen to record too. Yada yada yada😎

Totally agree of going sans camera which I do all the time( haven’t driven my car in months). Once you get in the habit of never riding without a helmet it’s hard not to, just like seatbelts or a watch. I only brought the camera with me for the dragon which we didn’t get to do this year. Banda bing bada boom.

I haven't even got to the footage from our 10 day vacation ride to the Carolinas and Myrtle Beach yet🤦🏾‍♀️ but there gonna be a lot of edits ... We purposely missed The Harley Davidson bike week, but didn't know about the Atlantic Beach Bike week 🤦🏾‍♀️ Aka "Black Bike Week"...OMG! Beautiful LOUD!!! Bikes with Barely naked women were on full display 🫣🤣

Thanks for the video , interesting and long trip and adventure that is good , no helmet not for me also , Was there spyder & Ryker at the rally, what model of revit glove are you wearing on your video ( I am looking for more comfortable gloves) I did a small trip on the ryker 685 miles up to cote Nord ( above Quebec city) for a few days with my harley friend . Great area to ride view is spectacular , lots of hill and curves very good trip. nice new lid, I have a Homen mic that wireless that work good ( i put the unit on a small magnet bar in the helmet.) More can am trikes than last year but very much the minority. The gloves are the rev’it DUNE gloves. They are very comfortable breathable but very low on the protection scale. Better than nothing but very much minimally so. I haven’t been to Nord but have been to Québec City and would love to ride that area (drove there last time). My recorder doesn’t support wireless. The camera might but its audio recorder quality is worthless.

Well it’s a rode lavalier mic in helmet going to an audio recorder. It’s filmed on an insta 360 x3( should have gotten a x4 but it came out right after I got x2). Now I use a stick on slotted cable organizer button in helmet to hold mic. Don’t use the insta 360 internal recorder , it sounds horrible regardless of what mic is used. GoPro internal recorder is much better. That’s really all there is to it.

Laconia is no big deal, rally wise, one way in one way out , to much traffic. Boring!! Unless you are going to ride up to Maine or around instead of going to the rally. Not worth going, once you have been there done that, no reason to go back 😅

I wonder if this is true of most of the bike weeks around the country? We will be going to Maine this summer in July definitely looking forward to that.

Sturgis is awesome, OC Maryland is great, Daytona Beach, and most others are great, but Laconia to me sucks, yeah we had some good time and met cool people, but it's not something that I feel like I want to do or go again, plus the weather always sucks, just like this weekend up there, who knows what it's going to be like next week? Just not worth it to me. But everyone has what they like

The area and the amount of rides going out to Wyoming or Custer Park, Mt Rushmore and so much to see and ride out to. Yeah spend one day downtown to check it out. But there's endless things to do and see, deadwood, stay at the buffalo chip camp grounds and there's bands every night, full throttle has bands, it's the best rally

@@stevengold5993 that’s what I was thinking based on what I have seen online. Basically it’s mostly everything but the rally itself if I read that correctly. One day to check out the scene and the rest exploring.
