Thank you so much! Funnily enough, I knew imp repellent existed for a long time, but had NO IDEA you could craft it until I did the research for this challenge XD
(i would have written algorithmic but if i recall correctly youtube scans for that word in comments, and excludes it from counting, so i hope this way it still works for "interactions" and engagement.) Hava
i used to make videos so much when i was younger. they were awful and terrible but they were good memories of my friends and me. these days, i still have the ideas but i'm always stuck with mental health or being busy or whatever. you should take pride in what you've created here and what you put forth. it's not easy to put yourself out there or do something like this, and takes a lot of emotional energy. i hope you keep going as long as it's good and fun for you. to create is to be human.
Thank you so much; I really appreciate the kind words. I don't intend on stopping any time soon; I have far too much fun making them and it seems to being joy to people~
I knew of the imps but not the names, after watching Boatys one man army series a few times over the years along with some of his other character runs their look is ingrained in my mind.
Yeah, I definitely knew they were in Puro-Puro, but there's no chance I would have been able to name them. Learning about their (bugged) functionality blew my mind, actually; their existence made so much more sense after that
Ever since I started watching this series, whenever I notice some weird obscure interaction in the game giving like 2xp in some skill, the first thing that comes to mind is "I wonder if that Uniqueman guy knows about this / if he's going to have to suffer through using this as a levelling source lol". E.g.: Gutting leaping trout for roe gives 10 cooking xp. Catching the trout requires 48 fishing/15 strength/15 agility, but at least there's no cooking requirement so you can at least do it early into cooking, right? Problem is, The odds of successfully gutting the roe out is 1/150 (0.7%) at 1 cooking, up to 99/150 (66%) at 99 cooking. Someone better at math than me should run the numbers to find the optimal level to do this at to minimize the predicted number of trout needed.
Im not sure how trout would work since ti gives 3 types of experience to catch them, with one being 10 times the others (Which doesn't line up well on the xp required chart)
I'm honored to know my potential suffering is something people are thinking about XD The issue with things like leaping trout is that it gives experience in multiple skills; namely Fishing, Strength, and Agility. Based on my rules, I'd need the same number of trout to simultaneously level Fishing, Strength, and Agility. In this particular example, I'd need my required Strength xp to be (nearly exactly) 1/10 of my required Fishing xp AND to match my required Agility xp (again, nearly exactly). Getting all of those to align is highly unlikely, so I've more or less written off methods that give experience in multiple skills.
I am the unfortunate player that already knew all that... but only learned that imp defenders didn't work within the last year. Pre-EOC me even made that stuff...
On one hand, I'm so sorry that you wasted (presumedly a lot of) time on something that's almost entirely useless. On the other hand... I can't help but chuckle at it XD
@@XorenMoonbeamHighlights That's what I get for reading news posts and the knowledge base back in the day 😅 (was able to find the knowledge base article linked in the news post and then accessed it via the way back machine which confirms the info was there on release)
