My iPhone Goes Straight To Voicemail! Here's The Real Fix. 

Guys my phone is still going to voicemail after following your video instructions, I did find another setting in iOS 12.1 go to settings, phone, Announce calls..................my default setting after the 12.1 update was set to Never...........I reset it to Always and thought I had fixed my phone, however I still have the same issue. My carrier is Telstra here in Australia the biggest mobile carrier in Australia, you would think the problem with their network would be limited to one mobile cell tower in my area if it was a carrier issue, however it seems to be my phone as I can be in the middle of Sydney and the calls go to voicemail.

One you missed out was in Phone in Settings check Silence Unknown Callers. I had it on and calls from unknown numbers went to voicemail.

Guys, I went through your video and checked everything, which I basically already did prior to your video but still getting calls going to VM. BUT I did notice during your video explaining DO NOT DISTURB and what should and should not be turned on/off etc... there was a section titled SILENCE: which has two choices to select; 1) Always and 2) While Phone is Locked (Which is what mine has a check next to) Underneath this section it states: Incoming calls and notifications will be silenced while iPhone is locked. What does that actually mean? When the screen is locked? That would explain right there why calls go directly to VM, but I get calls where my phone rings and others I get a notice on the screen stating a missed call right when it happens if I happen to be close enough to the phone to see this notification. SO I tripled checked to see that Do Not Disturb is off, Volumes for the ringer is on and up max. Airplane mode os off, I also checked for Blocked callers, which I have several robocalls that I have blocked from coming into my phone. What else is left I guess is going to Apple and seeing if they can figure it out. (iPhone 7+ BTW)

I’ve tried everything to stop incoming calls from non contacts that go strait voicemail. Everything you suggested, I’ve tried. May have to switch from AT&T to another carrier. BTW. Almost bought a new phone thinking it would solve the problem. Put my sim card into the new phone and it repeated the same, straight to voice mail. FRUSTRATING, been going on for months. Keep missing important business calls.

Also silence unknown callers. That’s was my issue. It would send them strait to voicemail

Thanks. But in my case it happened after last two or three updates. And it happens occasionally and I have to restart my iPhone 13 to fix it. Today I tried to turn off the Web Guard VPN to see if that is the fix. Let see.

I'm holding my land line in my hand calling myself and it's going straight to voicemail. My son's phone and husband's phone it rings and it's fine.

What about not being able to be notifiied while the iPhone is locked?

my iPhone 6s plus all of a sudden sends my callers to voice mail while I am on my phone, it use to give me option to accept call and place on going call on hold?

I have just had this problem yesterday, for no reason all my calls went to vioce mail. I never touch the settings so was confused. Eventually i realised i had had a problem with FOCUS on my Imac. Its connected to my phone and all changes are transmitted to each other. So the problem on my desk top caused my phone to go to Do not disturb . Just thought Id add that

question re; 6s. The phone will ring only once then open the call immediatly. Does not ring twice or go to voice mail.

One other fix I just stumbled on after going through several videos is that visual voicemail might have a capacity limit. I had 4 years worth of messages and had plenty of space left on my phone. But when I delete a bunch, voicemails started to come back in.

I have Sprint service and it goes straight to voicemail intermittent ly. Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. They fixed it for a short while but now it's gone back to doing it again. It's got to be the service cause I know people that have the same problem and they have a different brand phone but the same service.

My issue is that when I’m talking on the phone with someone and somebody else calls me, it takes them straight to voicemail without me declining their phone call.

literally, my "Silence unknown callers" features was checked for months and had no idea...... yall go to settings, scroll to phone and make sure that box isn't checked. Thanks for the video.

The new AT&T app "Active Armor" has a default setting to send all unknown callers to voicemail. I finally figured it out after weeks of troubleshooting, even if the main option in Settings is turned off.

Very useful did all you said. But turning it completely off and on again fixed it.

hello, my issue is when my phone connect to my car. Every time the I receive a call doesn't even ring and sent the call to voicemail. I have the do not disturb off and also the "do not disturb while I'm driving". I usually solve this type of issues myself but I can't figure anything else for this one. I'm currently using an iPhone X and iOS 12.

Before you do anything, see if the silence button on the left side of your I-Phone is red or black. If it is red, the phone is in the silenced mode. Gently slide the button toward the front of the phone to turn the button black and turn off silenced mod. Have someone call you to see if you can hear the phone ringing. If you can't, move on to the good tips provided in this video.

Call forwarding was my problem. Went directly to voice. Once off tahda. Deleted Robokiller also.

Had to click top volume button twice then bottom twice then hold on off button to power off

I find that it’s when I’m playing games or if I’m watching a RU-vid video it’ll show us a pop up at the top of my screen a call silence and it’s my doctors office I don’t have anything blocked for them I don’t know why it’s doing it

This didn't work for me. For those still looking, there is another feature that they don't mention here in this video. On your Settings under Phone, check for Silence Unknown Callers and make sure it's off. That did it for me.

For me I had to go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options and switch from LTE to 3G

My problem was allow calls from favorites just go to settings, general, do not disturb, click on allow calls from, then click everyone

I tried all these, none work, or they were okay. So I went into my call blocking and identification and it was one of the call identification apps that was blocking my wife’s iPhone! I turned all those apps off, and then she called me until the culprit app that blocked her call showed itself! So I turned it off, and all was fine. That same app was cutting off other calls too.
