My Iron Bull Bumper, with comments "On", unlike all of Iron Bull's videos.

This really bums me out. I just thought I found the best bumper and now I need to do more research. Thanks for the video. This is literally the first video that came up when I looked for reviews on these.

Cutting corners ain't cutting it. Definitely glad you shared your experience and helped others like myself save some money for an alternative option.

Update: Iron Bull ultimate solution was a diabolically thought up and impossible one. They told me that they would re-coat my bumper. All I need to do is remove the bumper, ship it from North Dakota to Texas (my expense). Wait an un-guaranteed amount of time for the re-coat, and ship back across the country to me (my expense). All the while, having no use of my truck in the interim because no bumper on it. So I'd have to rent a truck. All of this would cost me more than I paid for the bumper in the first place. And they know this full well, because I explained it to them. If Iron Bull cared a shred for their customers after-sale, they would have shipped me a new bumper (their expense), I would have switched bumpers in 2 hrs. I would have shipped the rusted-out bumper back to them (their expense), and all would be well. They could diagnose their treatment deficiency of the bumper in-house, then strip and re-coat the bumper at their leisure. That would have been good business and the customer would have been singing their praises. Definately NOT the case. This company doesn't care whatsoever. I especially love the Iron Bull video where they hit the bumper with the hammer to illustrate how tough the coating is. Mine is a complete disaster and it started cracking, peeling and flaking after less than 1 year. I was going to order the same one that is priced at $2,700 for my F250. Looks like it’s not worth the cost.

I seen an ad just now for these, and was curious about how well they hold up. Now this doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

I would have it removed, blasted and then painted with endura paint. I would then immediately send him the invoice and give him a due upon receipt invoice from your company to theirs. If they don’t pay it within 14 days send it to collections and do NOT accept anything but the full repair cost. If they don’t pay it’ll damage their corporate credit profile and will also red flag their bank and other lenders. I’d also report them to the better business bureau. Or just drive there and square him on the chin old school and see if he still wants to speak through his man pleaser any further. Just opinions of course.

*At this point if nothing is going to happen with resolving the issue, i would just remove it all and strip it bare and remove the rust and just line it myself, with a shitty customer service like that, its the definition of “if you want something done right, do it yourself” unfortunately, sorry that happened to you, at least i wont be buying iron bull, i was in the market for one for my ram as well*

I wish I would have done a video like this when I installed my bumpers. You are absolutely correct about the finish coming off. There is nothing done to prepare the metal prior to coating. As soon as I would tighten a bolt the coating all around it would bubble up. I was able to peel the coating off of the mounting brackets in 1 piece. The overall quality of craftsmanship is just terrible. I installed my bumpers myself and it took me several days to get the front bumper to line up decently. The mounting holes in the bumper were not spaced evenly from the centerline so I had to do a great deal of grinding to get the holes in the bracket to line up with the bumper. The mounting plates in the bumper were also not located at the same depth in the bumper so I had to put a ⅜" shim plate in on the right hand side. On the rear bumper they put the plate for the trailer plug on the wrong side which required lengthening the wires another 3 feet. The other thing I don't like is the shackle mounting points are not a solid piece of steel. They are layers of thinner material stacked together. I don't know if the outer edges are welded together but the individual layers can be seen when looking through the hole the mounting pin passes through.

I WAAASSSSS going to put one of these on my Frontier that just came back from the shop after some moron pulled out in front of me as I was driving through a green light at an intersection on my way to work. Piss poor finish on that bumper!!!! I feel bad for this guy getting screwed over like that! Looks like it might be better to buy one unfinished (if that's possible) and have a local shop put a much better finish on it.

This is why you only buy a ranch hand bumper and not these second rate knock offs.

Since the comments on all their vids are disabled, I guess I'll comment here. 1: You know it's junk when the comments are disabled on all their product videos. 2: The ad that lead me to look into this shows them ramming an Impala with a Ram. Not only did the bumper shift upon impact, it actually damaged the frame of the truck because they clearly didn't build a crush zone into the bumper that is there for the sole purpose of saving the frame in the event of a low speed crash. It's better to have to replace a bent bumper than to have a twisted frame. Hard pass

Thanks for the information, I was looking at these guys for my Tacoma (front and rear) but if that is how they treat customers and stand (or lack thereof) behind their products I'll look elsewhere.

Do you wash your truck? I live in Chicago and have to wash my truck weekly in the winter because of salt/chemical trucks. People who don’t, their whole vehicle gets rusted to pieces

I had the same problem and the only way to fix it is to get it re rhinolined yourself I even wanted to buy one without his crap coating and he wouldn’t sell it to me without the coating

I was considering on buying iron bull to save money over the Road Armor brand. After seeing this video, I am glad I went with Road Armor

What was the date of purchase? I wonder if this was a faulty batch. Poor customer service will always tarnish a good product. Thanks for making this video. I have a super duty and had Iron Bull as a top pick. But for over 3K on a permanent installation that has a chance of failure 🤔 Hammerhead is next in line.

Oh No no no…thats a coating issue.

My coworker bought these and had the same issue in like 5 months here in wi. The coating got dull and started bubbling and the metal underneath was completely rotted. Big waste of $

As of today (08/10/24) it’s been 12 weeks and I haven’t received my 2002 Tundra front bumper. I was promised 6-8 weeks from Johnny. I live in Vegas so it shouldn’t take extra long to receive it. Hopefully I get it soon because I have been trying to call them and email. Took me 5 days to get a email response and no phone number response. I think they only respond to people who haven’t dumped their money into it yet. The recent email (3 weeks ago) I got back from them said “Your bumper is in the final stages of production. We are planning our next west coast route and once it's laid out we can give you an ETA. You will be notified when the bumper ships and we will send you reports as to the drivers progress and the driver will contact you before delivery.” Will not be recommending buying from them ever again. I should have read reviews first. I’ll update this comment whether I get it or not. Probably will make a video on their customer service too

Just came across this product and starting researching and came across your video. the vids they have ramming the impala were cool and highly disappointed to see you what you went through and how the bumper isnt holding up. i've had bad experiences with other overland fabricators acting in the same exact way you described. bummer.

I was considering buying one of their bumpers but will not now. it's a shame of workmanship these days, but I guess this is the world we live in now.

It is bed liner after all and the stuff chips and peels over time

They posted a video 10 years ago hitting the bumper with a hammer to show how the finish doesn’t come off and how rocks wouldn’t chip it. I’d agree with him and then sue him for false advertising

Thank u for the review i had my eyes set on these but goad found ur video. Bumper look’s quality n u could’ve gotten a bad one. Happens in all manufacturing.. BUT the way thier customer service is says it all for me. I will look fir different bumper

I live here in chino valley you saved me Lots $$$$ sorry you got duped, that’s the sorriest customer service I have ever heard of!!! Lived in Az For about 60 yrs don’t know how long they have Been here but I know there Business practices are BS. Now I need to look elsewhere!! I was looking at Bumpers only not sure what I want to do as far as good aftermarket bumpers. And if Iron Bull Shit Bumper Is reading any of these your losing lots of customers!!!! As you should.

Yes, they’re bumpers are a disgrace to the market. He is a very rude person, and I will not be doing future business with them I would not advise anybody to use them. I took my bumper off and laid it down and drove over it with a bulldozer. That’s what everyone needs to do.

I’ve been emailing and calling them about when the bumper for my truck will be released because it’s a new body style and nobody will get back to me so I’m glad I saw this video falling off. Who else makes a bumper like this and as strong so I can buy from somebody else. But on a lighter note, I was dealing with Johny over the phone and he seemed fine and very helpful to me. Maybe he was just having a bad day. But thanks so much for the video very helpful and again let me know. Who else makes these style if you know.

I wouldn't go with them if they weren't the only ones who make bumpers for my truck, but i was just going to strip it off and either color match it to the truck or spray bedliner on it anyhow

I bought one got into an accident totaled out a brand new 2022 Toyota Camry V6.. Yeah I know Ouch.. the bumper moved very little the mounting boxes they send are supposed to move a little and it did it’s job if it’s the coating I’d just have it stripped and Coated in a Spray in liner . Quick simple and most effective. Bumpers are solid !!
